CEO's Reborn Wife

”Talk to James properly, if it’s Nia’s mother who wants to adopt those two children, James might not be upset.” Old Master Black said, ”James just doesn’t want the Black Family to get involved.”

”I understand.” Jane Sampson nodded.

Ever since getting pregnant, Jane Sampson’s sleepiness became particularly noticeable.

After lunch, she accompanied Old Master Black for a short walk in the courtyard and then went upstairs for a nap. She slept for more than two hours before waking up naturally.

When she went downstairs, Brooke Black was talking to Old Master Black downstairs. Jane Sampson curiously exclaimed, ”Auntie, why are you home at this time?”

”There wasn’t much to do at the company, so I came back early.” Brooke waved at Jane Sampson, ”Are you hungry? Do you want a piece of cake?”

Jane nodded repeatedly and ran over to sit beside Brooke.

”It’s from your favorite shop; I took a detour after work to buy it for you.” Since Jane was little, Brooke loved watching her eat.

The little lass cherished every snack she could eat, truly eating with such sincerity and seriousness that anyone watching her would feel their appetite increase.

”I brought back a G-brand children’s clothing new edition catalog for you. Have a look, see if there’s anything you like. We can pre-order, so the child can wear them once they’re born.” Brooke retrieved the new product manual from her bag and handed it to Jane Sampson, ”There are adult ones too. Check the ones you like, mark them, and have them sent directly to the Black Residence.”

”I need to start buying maternity clothes now. If I buy these fashions, by the time they arrive in my hands, I won’t be able to wear them. By the time I can wear them again, they’ll be out of style.” Jane shook her head, ”Not going to waste money. As for the child’s clothing, it’s way too early to buy them.”

”If you like it, just having it hanging in your wardrobe for you to admire is worth it.” Brooke teased her hair, ”Since you don’t want clothes, I’ll buy you a purse and shoes, flat shoes.”

Jane nodded, purses can still be bought. She happily opened the catalog and started browsing.

After dinner, Jane began waiting for James’s call. Typically, James should call her after dinner, but she waited until 8 o’clock, and James hadn’t called.

Jane glanced at her mobile several times, thinking, maybe the guy feels like he called during the day, so he won’t call me tonight?

Jane chuckled to herself.

When men say they miss you, often it’s just words, or perhaps they’re thinking of you at that moment, not necessarily at other times.

Jane waited for ten plus minutes before she couldn’t hold back and sent James a WhatsAPP message.

Are you working overtime tonight? — James Black’s wife.

Just after sending the message, the sound of the car echoed from the courtyard, and the Great General immediately perked up his ears, wagging his tail as he went to the doorway.

”Who’s that?” Jane turned her head and glanced outside.

Old Master Black and Uncle Black were discussing matters in the study, Brooke was making a call in the courtyard, so it wasn’t clear who was driving back at this time.

”Jane, it’s James back.” Brooke called out from the doorway in the courtyard to Jane in the living room.

”James is back!” Jane was stunned, quickly stood up, and walked to the patio window. Looking outside, there he was, James.
