CEO's Reborn Wife

”Thanks.” The female supporting role glanced at the two, smiled, then stood up and went on stage with them and the director.

This was the first promotion for the movie, so most of the leading actors from the film crew were present.

Formal recording began at 9:30 in the morning, with an estimated time of two hours, ending at 11:30.

But when it was 11:30, the stage activities hadn’t finished yet.

Jane Sampson’s mobile phone had rung several times in Coco Edwards’ hand, but Coco, seeing it was from an unknown number, didn’t answer it for Jane.

A while later, Harry Little Money called Coco Edwards.

”Sister Coco, there’s a mister here claiming to be arranged by Old Master Black to take two children to the Capital Province, but the children don’t believe him and refuse to leave the hotel. The mister said he already booked flight tickets and can wait at most half an hour. If they don’t leave after half an hour, they might miss the airplane. What should we do?” Harry asked.

”Has Sister Jane finished? The two children trust Sister Jane. If she talks to them personally, they should believe it.”

Coco glanced at the stage, ”Looks like it’ll take a while. Not sure if it’ll finish within half an hour. If it does, I’ll have Jane call you directly. If not, have the mister reschedule the flight ticket, and then let Jane explain to Old Master Black later.”

”Alright.” Harry agreed and hung up the phone.

Close to twelve o’clock, a few more scenes were being shot on stage, and when Jane Sampson, James Carter, and others returned backstage, it was already past twelve.

The expected two-hour duration ended up taking close to three hours to complete.

Even though Jane Sampson, who usually had boundless energy, came down from the stage, it was hard to hide her fatigue.

”Jane.” Coco quickly handed the honey water to Jane Sampson, ”Drink some water to soothe your throat.”

Regardless of how glamorous artists seem, Jane Sampson didn’t eat much breakfast in the morning fearing her clothes wouldn’t look good.

To avoid the embarrassment of going to the restroom frequently, she dared not drink much water either.

During nearly three hours, just from continuously talking, participating in games, running and jumping around, she didn’t take a sip of water. Even if she was very thirsty, she had to endure it.

Down from the stage, Jane Sampson gulped down a large cup of honey water heartily and the first thing she did after hydrating was head to the restroom.

Afterward, she let out a long sigh, ”Now I feel alive again.”

At her thirstiest, Jane Sampson even felt like she could dive into the basin used for games and take a couple of sips.

”Great job, great job.” Coco patted Jane Sampson’s back, showing that being an artist often requires enduring what others cannot.

Seeing Jane Sampson had caught her breath, Coco then informed her about what Harry Little Money had said regarding the hotel.

Jane Sampson looked at the time, ”Anyway, the flight is definitely rescheduled. I’ll talk to the two children myself when I get back.”

Driving from the conference venue back to the hotel, if there’s no traffic, it takes just ten plus minutes.

Jane Sampson and James Carter notified the director, and the two skipped the meal with everyone to return to the hotel first.

Jane Sampson intended to get back early to clarify things with the two children, but upon arriving at the hotel, she walked in the door only to find someone causing a commotion in the hotel lobby.
