CEO's Reborn Wife

Moreover, for Mother Rice, as a mother, it’s much easier to get information out of Nina Rice.

But that scumbag probably didn’t expect it; he hasn’t even met the person, and he’s already being directly and verbally refused.

No matter how much discord there is between Mother Rice and Nina, as a mother, she would never harm her daughter like that.

Furthermore, being a woman herself, Mother Rice never liked that scumbag’s behavior. Although she doesn’t approve of Nina getting involved in these matters, since Nina is her daughter, and there’s no regrets after loosing the arrow, now that Nina has taken action, she hopes Nina can handle this matter well.

”He probably thought that with the court session approaching, injuring Nina would prevent her from representing her client in court.” Father Rice glanced at his daughter lying in the sickbed, furrowing his eyebrows slightly.

Although compared to the bodyguard who broke two ribs, Nina’s fracture is a minor injury and should heal in about a month.

But as a father, even a sprained ankle would make him feel distressed, let alone a fracture.

Nina is the only daughter of him and his wife. Even though there was a disagreement between his daughter and wife due to work issues, he, as her father, has always been like a good friend to his daughter since she was young.

”In Nina’s current state, she probably can’t make it to court tomorrow, right?” Jane Sampson reached out to touch Nina’s foot in the plaster and asked, ”Does it hurt?”

”It’s not that bad, not serious. I don’t really feel anything. I even got up from the ground myself and went to help the bodyguard who took the hit for me.” Speaking of the bodyguard, Nina naturally thought of Alexander Forest.

In her heart, she was quite grateful to Alexander, but when speaking, she still sounded awkward.

”That Alexander Forest is so meddlesome, secretly having someone follow me without telling me,” Nina muttered quietly, ”causing the person to break two ribs.”

”For a professional bodyguard with such good reflexes to break two ribs, if it weren’t for him, you might be lying in a coffin right now.” Mother Rice gave Nina an exasperated look, ”Alexander Forest did a good job. Without him, you wouldn’t have the breath to complain now.”

”Your mom’s right on this one. Previously, looking at that Alexander Forest, your mom and I thought that kid wasn’t good enough for you. But now, seeing someone from the Forest Family, not bad at all.” Father Rice said, ”This time, your mom and I are really grateful to him.”

Just think, if it wasn’t for Alexander arranging a bodyguard for Nina, at this moment, Nina probably wouldn’t have the energy to lie here and talk to them.

”However, if Alexander Forest wants to be our son-in-law, he’s still a bit lacking,” Mother Rice glanced at Nina, ”We need to observe some more, so don’t agree to it so early.”

”???” Nina looked at her mom, bewildered, ”Mom, what are you saying? I never said I wanted to be with him. Son-in-law? Rest assured a hundred times, I definitely won’t choose him to be your son-in-law.”

Just as Nina finished saying this, coincidentally, Alexander Forest walked in.

”What son-in-law?” Alexander Forest walked in, carrying fruits and a bouquet of red roses.

He was wearing a flamboyant navy blue suit, with his hair slicked back with shiny hair wax.

Clearly, upon hearing that Nina wasn’t seriously injured, before heading out, he had dressed up especially to meet people.

Grandpa Rice glanced at the young man who walked in, and said in a mild tone, ”Nina said she definitely won’t have you as our grandson-in-law.”
