Chapter 1290: Chapter 1298: Dare to Beat Him

Of course, for the two elders, nothing made them happier than seeing James Black and Jane Sampson come home together.

Every time the couple came back, the seniors saw their relationship improve a lot. It was the loving relationship between James and Jane that truly delighted Grandpa Sampton and Granny Sampton.

”By the way, about Bright Sampton going into gaming, I heard from your parents that you secretly supported him?” Granny Sampton suddenly remembered the incident a few months ago, ”Your dad was very angry about this. Previously, he kept saying that gaming was ruining Bright Sampton, asking how he could just abandon his studies midway to play games?”

”Grandma, Bright Sampton is an adult, as long as he knows what he wants, that’s enough. Whether it’s gaming or anything else, after all, it’s his life and his choice, and he has the right to choose his own path.” Jane Sampson knew she couldn’t hide Bright Sampton’s issue from the grandparents.

It was just surprising that the grandparents already knew about it but had never called to ask her about it.

Even though the grandparents were open-minded, they were still from the older generation and definitely disapproved of Bright Sampton quitting his studies to play games.

”I gave him money because I want him to pursue his dreams without too much hardship. He is not alone; he has a family. Everyone else might criticize him, but there should be at least one person giving him support, making him a bit happier.” Jane Sampson explained, ”Grandpa, Grandma, please don’t worry. I’ve visited Bright Sampton’s training base and met his teammates, they are all upright and positive young men, so there’s no need to worry about the gaming affecting him negatively. He’s involved in esports, not those negatively viewed gamers in the social news.”

”Ah, the world of you young people is increasingly different from ours,” Grandpa Sampton sighed softly. ”Although I don’t quite understand, many kids in the village have mentioned your brother’s name, admiring him in a way that they almost worship him when they talk about Bright Sampton and his team. Their eyes sparkle, and I heard that not long ago Bright Sampton’s team won some award internationally, overpowering the team from Country M, right?”

”Yes, although it’s regrettable that they didn’t win the championship, they didn’t disgrace our country and managed to overwhelmingly defeat the team from Country M, which was quite satisfying.” Jane Sampson had been busy at the time and hadn’t paid much attention, but she did see something about it on Bright Sampton’s Twitter.

In that competition, although Bright Sampton had only a brief moment of fame, being unable to compete, his good looks attracted many fans.

During the conversation with the grandparents, James Black was sitting next to Jane, keeping his hands busy by peeling oranges for the elders, then washing dates for Jane, placing them one by one into her palm, continuously refilling as soon as she finished one.

It wasn’t until Jane let out a burp that he realized he had fed her too much.

”This child, I’ll go get you some yogurt; otherwise, you won’t have room for lunch,” Granny Sampton said with a smile, unable to hide her amusement, ”Really a silly child, James keeps feeding you and you keep eating, aren’t you afraid you’ll burst? If you two have kids in the future, what will you do~”

”If he dares to feed our baby like this, I dare to scold him,” Jane Sampson hummed, glancing at the oranges and then looking up at James.

She pouted, having thought he would peel an orange for her as well.
