CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1275: Chapter 1283: I Accepted

”When will filming start? And where is the location?” James Black, who had been sitting silent next to her, suddenly spoke up.

”Besides the male and female leads who have already been decided, the rest of the actors are still in the casting stage. The film crew plans to start filming after the Lantern Festival, but the location is not yet known. However, given it’s a modern setting, the filming and shooting locations are likely to be in a large city, probably in Capital Province or Seaside City, which are both first-tier cities.”

”Who’s been chosen for the male lead?” Jane Sampson asked curiously.

”I don’t know. It’s currently confidential. Even if you sign this contract, your role will also be temporarily kept secret,” Rock Bell shrugged. ”Take a look at the script, and if you think it’s acceptable, sign it.”

To give Jane Sampson time to read the script, Rock Bell brewed tea for James Black and chatted with him about other matters.

The title on the cover really piqued Jane Sampson’s interest.

”The President’s Wife is Not Human”

Just the quirky name alone made Jane Sampson find it amusing. She glanced through the introduction, which was more about the novel’s summary and character introductions rather than the script itself.

The female lead role Jane Sampson was interested in was that of the president’s wife. Indeed, as the title suggests, this president’s wife is not human; she is a fox fairy who mistakenly entered the mundane world.

The female lead is a nine-tailed snow fox, not born naturally, but as a spirit formed at the pinnacle of the fox clan’s snowy mountain, absorbing the essence of the sun and moon. Therefore, she is not a demon but a fairy. While she belongs to the fox clan, her appearance is neither vulgar nor seductive, leaning more towards a demure and beautiful fairy-like quality.

Seeing this background setting for the character, Jane Sampson could only comment, ”Hmm, very fitting for a female lead.”

The female lead enters the mundane world in the 21st century, and at that time, she coincidentally saves the president, who is the male lead and had been in a car accident. The nine-tailed fox, attracted by the man’s handsome look, starts following him.

After skimming through the overview and settings, Jane Sampson directly opened the script, browsed through the first part, and then closed the documents in her hands.

Clapping her hands, she smiled, ”Sister Tin, I’ll take this script! It’s really super interesting!”

”Then I’ll talk to the other party,” Rock Bell wasn’t surprised Jane Sampson liked the script.

It could be said that the setting for the female lead in this script is genuinely appealing.

Initially, it includes all sorts of cute and mischievous antics, with the male and female leads constantly giving out sweet moments and spreading ’dog food’. Later in the story, the female lead’s identity as a fox is maliciously exposed by the female supporting role, attracting hermits and capable people who resort to unscrupulous means to capture her.

At that time, the female lead is pregnant, and the male lead is also heavily injured and unconscious from protecting her. To protect the child in her womb and her husband, she must sever her own tail and deplete her thousand years of spiritual energy, erasing all traces of her existence in this world, including the memories in the minds of people she had interacted with.

Naturally, this includes erasing the male lead’s memory too, making it the most tragic and masterful part of the drama.

”I’ve read the entire script. The screenwriter is skilled, so there’s nothing to criticize about the whole drama. Unlike most domestic dramas, it resembles a Korean drama—starting off very sweet and romantic, and then becoming intensely tragic, really tugging at the heartstrings,” Rock Bell offered encouragement to Jane Sampson.
