CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1170: Chapter 1178: Revealing the Answer

Jane Sampson thought for a moment, then shook her head honestly, ”No.”

That girl Jillian Carter was glaring fiercely at her James Black. She couldn’t stand it anymore.

”Then that’s it,” James Black said. ”Her request indeed doesn’t follow the rules, and the rules weren’t made by you specifically for her, so then, does this matter have anything to do with you?”

”You’re so right!” Jane Sampson felt immediately comforted by James Black’s words.

Right, she had confronted Jillian Carter, but she wasn’t in the wrong.

Jane Sampson felt relieved at this moment, but after some thought, she still made a phone call to James Carter.

After several rings, she heard James Carter’s amused voice from the mobile phone, ”Why the sudden call? Are you filming with the film crew at this time? What’s up? Are you getting used to King Town?”

”Not yet. There was a small incident this morning, so I’ve now arrived in King Town but haven’t entered the film crew to start work yet. King Town is pretty nice. James Black took me to a super delicious hot pot restaurant. Mr. Carter, guess who I ran into at the hot pot restaurant!” Jane Sampson teased James Carter to make a guess.

However, even if given James Carter a hundred guesses, he wouldn’t have come up with the answer.

James Carter guessed a few names, but Jane Sampson said they were all wrong. Finally, James Carter conceded, ”Just reveal the answer.”

”I knew you wouldn’t guess it, Mr. Carter! Do you know how coincidental I am? I actually met Mr. Carter’s sister, Jillian Carter, at the hot pot restaurant!” Jane Sampson burst into laughter after saying this.

”That’s impossible,” James Carter blurted out. ”She’s still studying abroad and hasn’t returned to the country yet.”

”What? Really? But I truly ran into her in King Town. Mr. Carter’s sister is named Jillian Carter, right? I saw a photo of Mr. Carter’s sister at your home back then, so the moment I saw her, she looked so familiar. Now I remember, she is Mr. Carter’s sister,” Jane Sampson explained. ”James Black took me to Martyrs’ Mausoleum just now, and after coming out, I ran into her again at the doorway. She told me she’s working as a journalist for the Social News Department at a large newspaper agency in King Town.”

”Mr. Carter, I even saw her press card. The ’Jillian’ in her name is ’Jillian’ like the mountain wind, and ’Carter’ has the same three water points and a sunset as the character for ’Carter’ in your name,” Jane Sampson said. ”Is there a mistake in the name?”

James Carter was immediately stunned.

Yes, his sister who was supposed to be studying internationally was named Jillian Carter, and indeed, it was the very characters Jane Sampson mentioned.

James Carter remembered that back when Jane Sampson had visited the Carter family home, he had shown her photos of the family but had not told her his sister’s name.

”Alright, I got it,” James Carter responded. ”I’ve got something here. I’ll give you a call back when I’m free.”

”Sure, Mr. Carter, go ahead with your work,” Jane Sampson said with a smile as she hung up the phone.

Over there, after ending the call with Jane Sampson, James Carter immediately phoned a friend in King Town and inquired whether there was a female journalist named Jillian Carter.

To his surprise, there was.

James Carter asked his contact to send over the information on this female journalist.

minutes later, James Carter’s email inbox contained the electronic resume of the female journalist named Jillian Carter.

Opening it, the first thing he saw was the ID photo he knew all too well.

No mistake, it was truly the Jillian Carter who was supposed to be studying abroad.
