CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1163: Chapter 1171 I Want Something New

”Such a waste, I’ll drink it little by little, I definitely won’t gulp it down in one go,” Jane Sampson negotiated with James Black, with her little hand illustrating what ’little by little’ meant.

”No way.” There was no discussion, James Black directly threw the half bottle into the trash can next to them.

At that moment, he was also feeling relieved in his heart, thankful that he had never liked beverages since he was young.

”What a waste of resources!” Jane fumed, but helpless, she could only sit back down.

”Drink tea.” He handed Jane’s teacup, which had been on the opposite side, back to her.

”Oh.” What else could she do, she was also feeling desperate.

Jane muttered to herself internally, she had advised him several times not to come back then, since she was already discharged from the hospital and fine, yet he insisted on coming.

If he hadn’t come, she could have enjoyed her meal much more now.

The person complaining inwardly right now had already forgotten who it was that counted down the days on their fingers until they could see James Black again.

Eating hotpot, the two of them took almost two hours to finish.

James Black went inside to pay, and after seeing Sister Shaw coming down from upstairs, he greeted her, saying he was taking Jane Sampson around King Town. By the time he finished greeting and came out, the person who was originally sitting there waiting for him was squatting next to the trash can, staring intently at it.

”Let’s go.” James didn’t know whether to laugh or be upset; he walked over and directly lifted up the squatting person, ”Looking won’t help, I won’t allow you to drink more, just won’t allow it.”

Nowadays, the weather in King Town had cooled down, letting her indulge in drinking half a bottle was already spoiling her.

”Ow, such a waste.” Jane held onto James’s arm, looking like she wanted to go but also not wanting to leave, then turned and saw Sister Shaw standing inside, smiling at her. Jane then stopped fussing with James, waved to Sister Shaw, ”Sister Shaw, James and I are leaving now, I’ll be staying in King Town for a while longer. Next time I have time, I’ll come back!”

”Alright, I have James’s phone number. Call me before you come, and I’ll reserve a spot for you,” Sister Shaw nodded in agreement.

”Thank you, Sister Shaw!” Jane waved happily at Sister Shaw, then bounced out of the courtyard holding onto James’s arm, ”You give me Sister Shaw’s phone number later. Next time the crew has a dinner, I’ll bring them here to eat; the hotpot here really tastes amazing.”

”I will tell Sister Shaw to keep an eye on you,” James responded.

Jane glared at him, ”You’re annoying!”

James pretended he didn’t hear and changed the subject, ”Did you bring your old mobile phone? I’ll take you to buy a new one first.”

”I’ve got it!” Jane patted her purse, ”The phone is smashed, don’t know if it can be fixed, but the SIM card definitely needs to be protected.”

”It won’t work well even if it’s fixed, just buy a new one outright.” James was quite familiar with this area, and after Jane had put on her hat and mask, he directly hailed a taxi, taking her to the largest shopping mall in King Town, straight to the fruit phone store.

After entering the store and seeing the advertisement at the entrance, Jane exclaimed, ”There’s a new model out, I really timed it right.”

James glanced at it and directly pulled Jane away from the busiest counter to a quieter one, took out his mobile phone from his pocket, and told the salesperson, ”Give me a red phone of the same model as this one.”

”I want the new one,” Jane poked James’s arm quietly, making sure that James was looking at her, and then pointed at the advertisement at the shop entrance, repeating, ”I want to buy the new model.”
