Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 1439: Chapter 842: Decision (Part 3)

My little uncle and little aunt have only him as their precious treasure, and they’ve worried endlessly about finding him a wife, but the boy never took a liking to anyone until he set his eyes on Qinzi.

After figuring it out, I went back to tell my little uncle and little aunt, and they were almost furious. You’d think a young man who hasn’t married yet, with a good family background, why would he insist on choosing someone who’s been married before...

Seeing Mrs. Qi’s face looking a bit off, Sixth Aunt quickly explained, ”Second Sister-in-law, don’t be upset, anyone in your position would have these thoughts.

But later, after asking around, the couple agreed. Of course, the main reason is they couldn’t go against their precious son, so they asked me to come and mediate.

My little uncle and little aunt said that if this marriage could work out, they would follow the tradition and send the betrothal gifts. From then on, the Qi Family would be Qinzi’s maternal home, and when the family is busy, Qinzi can come back and help out.”

Under Sixth Aunt’s earnest gaze, Mrs. Qi felt a mix of emotions and said, ”Sixth Aunt, this truly sounds like a good marriage. How about I discuss it with Qinzi, and see if that’s alright with you?”

”Second Sister-in-law, actually, I’m mainly here to find out if you and Second Brother plan to let Qinzi go,” Sixth Aunt scrutinized her, ”It’s been five years since the eldest left, and Qinzi has stayed until now, which is plenty noble.”

”I know.” Mrs. Qi stood up in a bit of a fluster, ”I can’t make the decision on this. I’ll discuss it with Qinzi, and also with his dad and grandma.”

”Alright, I’m waiting for your news. This is truly a rare good marriage prospect, even for an ordinary unmarried girl it’s hard to find such a family. If you truly have a conscience, you can’t let the child keep missing out...” Sixth Aunt sighed and stood up, ”Forget it, I’ll stop talking. Say more and it becomes irritating. My little uncle and little aunt are waiting for news at home, I’ll come again tomorrow.”

As she left the yard, Yue Qin happened to be pushing two large bags of goods on a bicycle, and Sixth Aunt squinted and smiled while asking, ”Qinzi, how long did it take you to sew these?”

”Two days, Sixth Aunt. I need to hurry and deliver them, so I’ll talk to you later.” Yue Qin said as she walked out the door, hurriedly stepped onto the bike, and wobbled out of the alley.

”So capable.” Sixth Aunt smacked her lips, waved back at Mr. and Mrs. Qi, ”Second Brother, Second Sister-in-law, I’m heading back, I’ll come by tomorrow.”

Yan’er waved sweetly and called out, ”Sixth Grandma, come play often.”

Sixth Aunt’s smile froze for a moment, waved her hand, and walked away quickly.

Mr. Qi sighed looking at Mrs. Qi, ”Again?”

”Yes.” Mrs. Qi responded, went back into the yard, sighed, and sat beside Granny Qi, ”This time, the family is really without fault, if we refuse like before, I’m afraid we’ll be too ashamed to keep living here.”

”Oh, what should we do?” Mr. Qi worriedly held his head, muttering repeatedly, ”What should we do? What should we do about this?”

”Yan’er, go back inside and do your homework.” Granny Qi sent the little great-grandchild back indoors, firmly tapping the ground with her cane, ”Do what you ought to do, call Xiao Xing, we can’t let Xiao Qin be wronged any longer.”

Mr. Qi sighed heavily, ”Mom, Xiao Xing wanted to talk it through a long time ago, it’s Qinzi who wouldn’t let him. In this situation, we can’t move away, how can Qinzi endure people gossiping?

”This marriage is what Xiao Xing wants, we can’t let Qinzi stay indefinitely unclear like this with the Qi Family.

”Qinzi is twenty-eight, if she delays any longer, having kids will be troublesome too. Having them late is a woman’s hardship, are you willing to let her suffer more?”

”The problem now is, if we say it, Qinzi suffers too. If we move to the city, Xiao Xing and Qinzi won’t be able to support us working themselves to death.

But if we switch to another village, nearby ones won’t work, far ones... far ones make Xiao Xing uneasy, and it’s also a matter for the child to go to school.

We can’t only think about adults and neglect the child, Yan’er is already in elementary school. Transferring her to a place in the middle of nowhere would delay the child.”

Granny Qi waved her hand, ”Who said everyone had to move? You call Xiao Xing, the three of us will stay, let Qin and Yan’er go be with him.”

Mr. Qi looked troubled, ”Arranging it this way, neither Xiao Xing nor Qin would be happy, didn’t we discuss this before?”

”Before is before, now is now. Can you still block Qin’s marriage now? Can you endure others pointing fingers?” The old lady tapped the ground with her cane, ”Listen to me, talk it over with Xiao Xing, that child will figure it out.” (To be continued.
