Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 1410: Chapter 833: Taking Sides

”I won’t leave, I firmly support Mayor Luo’s plan to develop the economy of Qin Mountain Town.” After thinking it through, Liang Jiahe said his choice with a very serious expression.

”Really?” Qi Bin looked at him meaningfully, ”I can tell that you just went through an intense mental struggle, you’d better think it through. I’m just the County Magistrate of Yanshan County, and now someone has reported this directly to East Mountain City, and it’s directly to Number Two.

The final outcome, I really can’t say, and I can honestly tell you, even if we leave here, our development elsewhere might not be that bad.

As for you, being a native of Qin Mountain Town, if this causes you to step down, you should know very well what you’ll hear around.

I’m analyzing the whole situation purely to be responsible to you, you really need to consider carefully about what to do.

After all, you still have a family to support, and you have to consider the future of your children and grandchildren, so even if you turn against us now, we won’t blame you.”

With the conversation reaching this point, Liang Jiahe was no longer hesitant, looking at Qi Bin with a determined expression: ”Secretary Qi, I won’t lie to you, for a moment, I did regret it.

After all, getting to where I am today wasn’t easy, but since I’ve made my choice, I must be responsible for my actions.

If I have to step down, I won’t regret it, no matter what, in the end, Old Liang chose to consider the people.

I also believe, one day, the folks in the town will know, Old Liang lost his position because he was thinking of them.”

The implication of this last sentence is, even if he loses his position because of this, as long as the townspeople acknowledge him, his standing in the town will not falter, and his descendants can still stand tall!

”Really won’t change your mind?” Zhu Hongyu asked again.

”Won’t change.” Liang Jiahe frowned, ”Girl, honestly, I don’t like your attitude when you speak to me like this.

Secretary Qi is my superior, he should be saying these things, but why do you think you can talk to me like this as well? I’m telling you, I’m not comfortable with it.”

”Pfft!” Luo Ye laughed and patted Zhu Hongyu, ”Sister Zhu, mind your attitude.”

”Secretary Qi, since we’re in the same camp now, I won’t pretend anymore. I feel honored when you shout a few words at me.

But if everyone orders me around, I get a bit uncomfortable. No matter what, Old Liang has been sitting in the Mayor’s position for twelve years.

Based on age, based on seniority, a little bit of respect would be appropriate, wouldn’t it?” Clearly, upon learning that Qi Bin might be ousted, even though Liang Jiahe chose to continue standing on this side, his attitude has changed somewhat.

”I think you’re misunderstanding my intention, let me emphasize, I’m not deliberately making things difficult for you, nor is it an abuse of authority. It’s so I decide how to treat you next.”

Zhu Hongyu said as she dialed a number, ”Hello, Uncle Qin, it’s Hongyu... Yeah, I’m quite adaptable to the climate here, you know, I’m in the military, how can I not be adaptable?

Yes, Qi Bin came over personally, we’re having a meal together now. Would Uncle Qin like to say a few words to him? Okay, I’ll hand the phone to him.” Zhu Hongyu handed the phone to Qi Bin, ”Uncle Qin wants to talk to you.”

Qi Bin quickly took it: ”Hello, Secretary Qin... Yes, I’m currently in Qin Mountain Town... Yes, Luo Feng’s plan is excellent, it has a milestone significance for the development of Qin Mountain Town, I’ll definitely keep an eye on it to the end.

... Don’t worry, if anything goes wrong, I’ll go to the city to face the music, you can punish me however you see fit.

... Yes, it’s me and Hongyu, and Luo Ye is here too... Yes, yes, it’s the young Luo Ye who got promoted to Lieutenant at a young age, okay, I’ll pass the phone to her.”

The phone was handed to Luo Ye, ”Hello, Uncle Qin, yes, I’ve heard Uncle Qiao mention you, saying you’re his best friend.

... Okay, when we head back we’ll be passing through East Mountain City, we’ll visit you then, but we don’t have anything decent as gifts, hope you don’t mind.

... Oh yes, how did I forget, Hongyu is like your own niece, you wouldn’t mind if we bring gifts or not... Yes, yes, Sister Hongyu has something quite important to tell you, I’ll pass the phone back to her.”

The phone switched back to Zhu Hongyu: ”Uncle Qin, I contacted you for official business, but I forgot what it was after being interrupted by you.
