Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

174: Chapter 174 Collective Power, Private FreedomWhoosh.

The small fishing boat flew to the nearest Tongtian Aircraft Carrier.

At this moment!

Tiezhu was commanding his subordinates, bringing the trapped civilians located in high buildings onto the aircraft carrier one by one.

”Take good care of these children.”

After Jiang Chen put the children down, he specifically asked Tiezhu to help look after them.

After receiving the order, Tiezhu immediately arranged for the children to go to the rest cabin himself.

He was just about to turn back to the command room.

Just at that moment.

The girl holding a bear looked up at the nearly three-meter-tall Tiezhu and asked, ”Uncle, are you also a god?”

”No, I am a Heavenly General.”

”Heavenly General? Was that uncle from just now also a Heavenly General?”

”Him? He is the Thunder God who can summon lightning.”

After saying this!

Tiezhu turned and walked away.

”Thunder God?”

”Leifeng?”

The little girl was a bit suspicious, but she had silently memorized this title in her heart.

Around six o’clock in the evening.

Night was gradually falling.

The seawater had already risen to over ten meters.

However, after reaching ten meters, the rate of rising began to slow down.

Because a large amount of seawater began to surge towards Beiling City, the seawater in Zhujiang City fluctuated, rising and falling, eventually maintaining a height of ten meters.

It neither rose nor fell anymore.

Wooooo!!!!

The Tongtian Aircraft Carrier emitted a long, low wail, and leading over a hundred warships and more than three thousand civilian vessels, it departed one by one.

As for the very few who had not reached the transportation hub, they were scanned one by one by the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals using life detectors.

[Heavenly Soldier 1 reporting, no human vital signs in the East District.]

[Heavenly General 19 reporting, no human vital signs in the South District.]

[Heavenly General...]

Following the reports from the mechs, after Jiang Chen confirmed that no other vital signs had been scanned, he finally drove the small fishing boat and followed the main fleet away.

”Goodbye!”

Jiang Chen sat in the cockpit and took one last look at Zhujiang City below.

This seawater height of over ten meters had already submerged the second floor of most buildings.

Unless the ocean expands and then shrinks back, it is basically impossible for anyone to survive here anymore.

Jiang Chen took one last look and began to drive the small fishing boat away rapidly.

When Zhujiang City successfully evacuated all its citizens.

Other coastal cities were also evacuating one after another.

With the orderly progress of the evacuation work.

More and more netizens began to report their safety online.

[I’m in Zhujiang, just got on the aircraft carrier, 8G network, it’s damn fast!]

[Envy the brothers who were transported away by the aircraft carrier. I left a day early and took a civil flight! It cost me ten thousand big ones!]

[Haha, I took a large military transport plane, didn’t spend a single cent, it was worth it for this lifetime.]

[I am from the coastal mouth of the Yangtze River, and I have also safely evacuated!]

[I am at the Yellow River estuary, and I have also retreated to an inland province!]

...

When the coastal cities of the Dragon Kingdom were all evacuating one after another.

The coastal citizens of other countries began a mass exodus.

”Save the children, why is no one coming to save us!”

Australia.

Hexini City.

Because the seawater rose too quickly, the relevant municipal authorities did not issue warnings in time.

This resulted in the fact that by the time the public realized what was happening, tickets and such were already fully booked.

In the panic, a large number of private cars flooded the highways, causing massive traffic jams.

As for cargo ships and transport vessels, because they belonged to private owners and were considered sacred and inviolable, when the municipal authorities wanted to requisition these ships to help the public, they were just given the runaround.

After going back and forth, the seawater kept getting higher, but the municipal authorities and the capitalists were still quibbling over how much a ticket cost and how to calculate losses afterward.

It really fits that saying: for the sake of profit, capital will sell the rope used to hang itself to others.

Even when facing a choice between life and death, they were still discussing how much a ticket cost.

In fact.

It was not just Australia that was like this.

Even the United States was the same.

When the seawater from the Gulf of Mexico surged into the southern part of the United States wave after wave.

A large number of citizens discovered that the rescue operations sent by the municipal authorities were extremely scarce.

Facing the pleas for help from so many people, the Black Palace was unable to mobilize effective organizational forces.

On one hand, there were not enough aircraft carriers.

On the other hand, the ability to mobilize social public resources was insufficient.

Therefore.

Facing a large amount of complaints, the Black Palace only wrote nonchalantly on Facebook.

”Society is like this!”

”Fate is like this!”

”National conditions are like this!”

”Our constitution grants every United States citizen the right to save themselves.”

”We are different from the evil Dragon Kingdom.”

[F^CK YOU!]

After the public cursed in dissatisfaction.

They could only collect tools themselves.

Build lifeboats themselves.

Buy life jackets themselves, and so on.

In short!

Everything is very free.

...

If the United States could still evacuate to the inland.

Some island nations were in big trouble.

For every meter the seawater rose, their land area decreased by a fraction.

For a time, they fell into despair.

Even Sakura City, which had a slightly larger island area, fell into panic.

[What should we do? Are we going to sink like the Dahe?]

[Didn’t we join the Belt and Road Initiative? We even became a municipal-level development partner of the Antarctic continent, so can’t we ask the Dragon Kingdom for help?]

[Exactly! Our Sakura City has belonged to the Dragon Kingdom since ancient times. They have this obligation!]

[I am willing to contribute to the service industry.]

Sakura City sent a distress signal to the Dragon Soul.

...

Sri Lanka.

With the rising of the seawater.

As an island nation, Sri Lanka also fell into great panic.

A large number of people flooded into gas stations, wanting to fill up their tanks and flee towards the center.

However.

Gas prices skyrocketed.

Soon they couldn’t afford it anymore.

Coupled with the lack of control from the municipal authorities, for every meter the seawater rose, the entire island fell into an extra degree of chaos.

”Commander, what should we do?”

Watching more and more people start to storm the municipal government, a staff officer on the Sister Li aircraft carrier couldn’t help but ask Qin Xueyao.

Qin Xueyao naturally knew the situation in Sri Lanka through satellites.

She frowned and said, ”Do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, let’s wait and see.”

The Sister Li was just anchored in this port.

It had no other tasks.

Although the port had already been submerged with the rising seawater.

The Sister Li aircraft carrier fleet still remained near the port.

It did not leave.

Nor did it sail further in.

”Sigh, I hope this seawater stops expanding.”

The staff officers were also full of worry.

These island nations, every single one of them, are estimated to fall into great chaos during this ocean expansion.

The reason is also very simple.

With the rising seawater, besides their land being swallowed.

Ocean transportation costs are also a major factor.

And ocean transportation is the number one channel for globalization.

Once this channel is cut off, the imported goods of some countries will drop sharply, including the inability to replenish daily necessities.

Therefore.

Under the impact of these multiple crises, many island nations will go bankrupt.

Import-dependent countries will fall into price surges caused by the shortage of supplies.
