Supreme Sword God

Chapter 248: Chapter 247: No Talking, Just Slash!

Watching the young people below, filled with an intense atmosphere, Dean Xu Changqing of the Emperor Star Martial Arts Academy smiled.

That’s good.

Although some discomforting things have happened, it’s a good thing for the Wind and Cloud Competition to turn up the heat.

The young should engage in more direct confrontations!

Thus, Xu Changqing stood up, waved his hand, and vast primal energy surged out from his sleeve, rushing towards the sky!

The space trembled, a continuous buzzing sound ensued, and a pitch-black vortex slowly appeared.

The vortex was profound, its destination unknown, and a repressive aura emanated from it, casting a solemn look on everyone’s face.

”This year’s Wind and Cloud Competition will be held within this ancient battleground fragment, just like previous years, divided into team and individual matches.

Once you enter the ancient battleground fragment, someone will explain the rules to you.

Of course, I must remind you of one thing in advance.

No matter whether it’s a face-to-face confrontation or scheming against each other, there are no restrictions, but one thing — no killing!

For those who murder, a life for a life, regardless of who it is, there will be no leniency or exceptions!”

The latter part of Xu Changqing’s words was spoken with extreme severity, each word piercing into everyone’s mind like a knife.

Killing is an unbreakable taboo of the Wind and Cloud Competition!

After saying this, Xu Changqing paused slightly before continuing, ”Now, I announce that the Wind and Cloud Competition officially begins, everyone, enter the ancient battleground fragment!”

As Xu Changqing’s words fell.

The square instantly erupted!

Auras of powerful energy burst forth.

The five members of the Emperor Star Martial Arts Academy, led by Han Qianshan, united their powers and soared towards the deep, spinning vortex in the sky, their momentum like a rainbow!

”Move out!”

Sun Siming shouted in a low voice, and then his figure shot towards the vortex in the sky, with Ye Chen and others immediately following suit.

The people from Luofeng Martial Arts Academy also followed closely behind the Cangxing Martial Arts Academy group, and then it was the turn of the Tongming Martial Arts Academy.

”Senior Brother Sun, I need to take care of something!”

Before reaching the vortex passage entrance, Ye Chen spoke in a low voice while mid-air, and in the next moment, a flash of golden light appeared under his feet, and his figure vanished directly.

Sun Siming wanted to stop it, but it was too late.

Just as Ye Chen’s figure disappeared from where he stood, the powerful figures of the Tongming Martial Arts Academy, who were watching from the high platform, felt a bad premonition immediately and shouted, ”He Xiao, be careful!”

However, it was already too late.

Ye Chen, using the Heaven-Ascending Step and Vertical Earth Golden Light, had already appeared beside the five people from the Tongming Martial Arts Academy.

”Swish!”

The Celestial Mark Sword drew instantly.

The power of the unity of spirit and martial arts erupted fiercely.

The dense Sword Qi blossomed an incredibly dazzling and piercing light.

The moment he struck, it was the strongest offensive.

All swords return to the origin!

All the Sword Qi converged into the Celestial Mark Sword, transforming into a giant sword, slashing towards Qin Yi!

Qin Yi was at the First Layer of Transcendence cultivation level, possessing naturally strong combat power, but he had no time to react at all.

Who would have thought that Ye Chen would strike at this moment?

This was something that had never happened in the history of the Wind and Cloud Competition!

”Swish!”

The sword light fell, blood splashed, and Qin Yi’s body was directly split diagonally from his right shoulder to his left abdomen by Ye Chen’s sword!

”Ah!”

Qin Yi’s miserable scream sounded, and his two severed halves fell towards the ground, his intestines and organs raining down like a downpour!

After slicing Qin Yi in half with one sword, a flash of golden light appeared under Ye Chen’s feet again, and he vanished from the spot, rejoining the ranks of Cangxing Martial Arts Academy with Sun Siming and others and charging into the rotating black vortex, entering the ancient battleground fragment.

This scene.

Stunned everyone.

The speed of Ye Chen was actually this fast!

Many high-level Mortal Transformation Realm experts watching compared themselves secretly, all admitting that they could not match Ye Chen in terms of speed!

Of course, what shocked everyone the most was Ye Chen’s decisiveness and ruthlessness in his attack!

Qin Yi was just threatening a bunch of people from Cangxing Martial Arts Academy, not putting Ye Chen’s strength in their eyes.

And the result?

Qin Yi hadn’t even entered the ancient battleground fragment space before being cleaved into two by Ye Chen’s sword!

Such an injury was severe but non-fatal!

Everyone couldn’t help but feel a chill in their hearts; if this weren’t the Wind and Cloud Competition... Qin Yi would undoubtedly be dead under Ye Chen’s sword!

The strong figures of the Tongming Martial Arts Academy, standing on the high platform, faced Xu Changqing and Zhou Chengqian, their faces full of anger, saying, ”Sixth Prince, Dean Xu, isn’t Ye Chen’s act breaking the rules?

The Wind and Cloud Competition hadn’t officially started, and Ye Chen took advantage of everyone being unprepared to strike so hard, he must be severely punished to set an example!”

He Dong sat in his seat, unconcerned, and frankly, Ye Chen’s earlier action was quite satisfying; he laughed and said, ”Dean Xu did announce the official start of the Wind and Cloud Competition earlier; anyone who isn’t deaf should have heard it.”

Xu Changqing didn’t reply directly but looked at Zhou Chengqian, saying, ”What does Your Highness think?”

Zhou Chengqian’s expression remained unchanged as he said, ”Since the Wind and Cloud Competition has already started, this act did not violate any rules.”

That being said, Zhou Chengqian still felt like swearing inwardly!

Qin Yi was supposed to restrict Ye Chen within the rules of the Wind and Cloud Competition and hopefully suppress Ye Chen to the point where he couldn’t lift his head.

And the result?

It was utterly useless!

He hadn’t even entered the ancient battleground fragment space before being cleaved like this by Ye Chen, instead adding to Ye Chen’s prestige.

Moreover.

He understood what Xu Changqing’s deliberate question meant; this old fellow was clearly trying to make things difficult for him and was obviously displeased with his prior decision to let Qin Yi and Jiang Shiyin join the Tongming Martial Arts Academy!

This old fellow, even though he said he had no objection, clearly had a significant problem!

The experts of the Tongming Martial Arts Academy, unable to get anyone to speak for them, left with their noses out of joint.

He Xiao and others from the Tongming Martial Arts Academy had no choice but to land back on the ground.

Qin Yi’s upper body lay on the ground, wailing in agony, shouting angrily.

Jiang Shiyin picked up Qin Yi’s lower half and pieced them together.

As for the scattered organs, too disgusting, even though she was on Qin Yi’s side, she didn’t want to touch them.

Once the two halves of the body were pieced together, Jiang Shiyin took out a jade bottle and poured the special liquid inside onto Qin Yi’s wound, which healed at an extremely fast rate.

As for the missing organs, Qin Yi could only rely on the Power of Transcendence to regenerate them.

Moments later.

Qin Yi stood up and then retrieved pills from his Storage Ring and swallowed them.

Ye Chen’s power of spirit and martial unity was too overbearing; his injuries were much more severe than they appeared.

In just that little while.

The rest of the people in the square had already entered the ancient battleground fragment space.

He Xiao, with a gloomy face, shouted lowly and led the team towards the vortex passage once more!

On the high platform.

Yu Hui’s aunt, Yu Bihua, chuckled with schadenfreude, ”Qin Yi and Jiang Shiyin’s preparation is quite thorough, isn’t it? It seems that the Tongming Martial Arts Academy offered them quite the benefits, even offering the Jade Flesh Bone Healing Liquid and the Ten-Perfection Great Spirit Pill.”

The Tongming Martial Arts Academy experts said nothing.

Zhou Chengqian feigned indifference; he was the one who sent those items!

He Dong simply didn’t care.

So what if Qin Yi healed?

The more potent healing items they possessed, the more often Qin Yi would be chopped down by Ye Chen!

As for Ye Chen’s character, He Dong knew it well; it was perfectly exhibited earlier.

As long as it’s an enemy, swords will swing immediately without any hesitation whenever action can be taken!
