Chapter 247: Chapter 246: Confrontation

Zhou Chengqian’s sudden announcement surprised everyone, including Xu Changqing, the headmaster of Emperor Star Martial Arts Academy on the high platform, among most others.

”Feiyang Martial Arts Academy has been excluded from participating in the grand competition. Sixth Prince, whose consent did you obtain for this decision?!”

He Dong was the first to speak, after all, the root cause of Feiyang Martial Arts Academy’s disqualification was Qin Feiyan, who disregarded his status and took action against their Cangxing Martial Arts Academy disciples.

Zhou Chengqian turned around, looking at the strong figures from various martial academies on the high platform. His expression was calm, with a slight smile, he said, ”Indeed, Feiyang Martial Arts Academy has been eliminated from participating in the grand competition, but Qin Yi and Jiang Shiyin are not prohibited from participating.

Both of them have left Feiyang Martial Arts Academy and joined Tongming Martial Arts Academy. Now, they are disciples of Tongming Martial Arts Academy.”

After Zhou Chengqian finished speaking, a strong figure from Tongming Martial Arts Academy stood up and said, ”Indeed, Qin Yi and Jiang Shiyin were dismissed from Feiyang Martial Arts Academy the day before yesterday and joined Tongming Martial Arts Academy yesterday.”

Zhou Chengqian continued, ”Originally, I wanted to inform everyone and discuss this matter, but the news reached me too late yesterday.

But I thought, whether it’s Qin Yi or Jiang Shiyin, neither of them has done anything wrong, and indeed, they deserve a chance.

Our Great Zhou Dynasty’s attitude towards martial academies has always been one of widely spreading Martial Dao, allowing common people to have the chance to set foot on the path of Martial Dao. For talents, they should be given opportunities to have a better growth space.

Therefore, although this decision seems abrupt, it is one that has been carefully thought out by me.”

Xu Changqing tapped his fingers on the armrest of his chair, looking at Zhou Chengqian with a deep gaze, and said, ”Since the Sixth Prince has spoken, I naturally have no further opinions.”

Zhou Chengqian clearly wanted to do this, making the decision before informing everyone, with a firm attitude. Opposing now would be meaningless, ultimately leaving everyone in an awkward position.

Soon after, several others expressed their consent to this matter.

Though He Dong was inwardly furious, he said nothing further.

Seeing that the matter was settled, Zhou Chengqian’s eyes showed a hint of satisfaction, then he returned to his seat.

In the square.

A man and woman dashed in, landing in the Tongming Martial Arts Academy’s lineup, replacing two original members.

Among the crowd.

Discussions arose again.

”Now there’s a twist. Previously, Tongming Martial Arts Academy was only supported by He Xiao. With Qin Yi and Jiang Shiyin, both at the Mortal Transformation Realm, joining, Tongming Martial Arts Academy has gained even more strength. I think Tongming Martial Arts Academy even has the strength to compete for first place in this year’s grand competition!”

”Cangxing Martial Arts Academy is going to find it tough. Qin Yi and Jiang Shiyin are surely going to target Cangxing Martial Arts Academy. Originally, Feiyang Martial Arts Academy and Cangxing Martial Arts Academy were arch-enemies. Now that Feiyang Martial Arts Academy has fallen to this extent, even though they are no longer from Feiyang Martial Arts Academy, they will surely seek vengeance for Feiyang Martial Arts Academy!”

”That’s for sure. Don’t forget, Qin Yi is Qin Feiyan’s nephew, and Qin Jing, who died at Ye Chen’s hands, was also Qin Yi’s cousin. The conflicts between the Qin Family and Ye Chen have long been irreconcilable.”

”Don’t forget another thing. In the last grand competition, Qin Yi and the core member of Cangxing Martial Arts Academy’s team, Sun Siming, nearly fought to mutual destruction. Old and new grievances stacked, this year’s grand competition, the showdown between Tongming Martial Arts Academy and Cangxing Martial Arts Academy, will surely be exceptionally intense!”

As the discussions reached Ye Chen and his group’s ears, Ye Chen clearly felt that Sun Siming, standing in front of him, showed extreme instability.

It turns out.

Sun Siming’s paranoid madness was greatly related to this Qin Yi.

”Senior Brother Sun, calm down,” Ye Chen whispered.

Tongming Martial Arts Academy, ranked fifth among the top ten academies, was separated from Ye Chen’s team by just a row of Luofeng Martial Arts Academy’s team, very close in proximity.

Qin Yi sneered, ”Sun Siming, last time you clung to me like a mad dog, but you still lost to me. This time, the outcome will remain unchanged.

I heard you’ve been in seclusion at Cangxing Martial Arts Academy these past two years to seek revenge?

I’m stating it clearly now, even if I can no longer represent Feiyang Martial Arts Academy, you will still lose to me. This time, representing Tongming Martial Arts Academy, I will still crush Cangxing Martial Arts Academy beneath my feet!”

Ye Chen looked at Qin Yi as he spoke.

Qin Yi’s gaze also met Ye Chen’s.

Their gazes collided in the air, resulting in a fierce confrontation!

”Ye Chen, you too. In this grand competition, I will make you lose utterly, unable to raise your head again, letting the entire Great Zhou Dynasty know that your so-called reputation as a prodigy is nothing short of a joke!

No matter how good your talent is in Sword Dao, so what?

So what if you are an Extreme Celestial Seal Spirit Master?

The unification of spirit and martial is just so!”

Ye Chen’s lips curled into a cold smile, ”It’s really a pity that Feiyang Martial Arts Academy was excluded from the grand competition. Now it’s fine, you two continue participating in the grand competition, and I can still settle some scores with my sword!”

Behind Qin Yi, Jiang Shiyin coldly snapped, ”Ye Chen, you won’t remain arrogant and pleased for long. Soon, you will be crawling on the ground in front of everyone, like a dead dog, begging for mercy!”

”Such crap talk,” Fatty grumbled and cursed, ”Feiyang Martial Arts Academy is just beginning to have bad luck, and you two are so eager to switch allegiance?

Feiyang Martial Arts Academy must have invested quite a few resources in nurturing you guys, and in the end, they raised two thankless creatures.

Tsk tsk, Tongming Martial Arts Academy is truly foolish to want such ingrates. When Feiyang Martial Arts Academy falls from grace, aren’t they afraid these two will become traitors serving multiple masters?”

Fatty’s words hit right at the heart!

Qin Yi and Jiang Shiyin’s faces alternated between pale and flushed from the comments.

”Yu Hui, you have the nerve to criticize others? You, as a member of the Yu Family in Luofeng Martial Arts Academy, joined Cangxing Martial Arts Academy, what right do you have to speak here?” Qin Yi shouted angrily.

Fatty laughed unconcernedly, ”Don’t draw parallels between your situation and Master Fatty’s, trying to stick gold on your faces? Do you even qualify?

No matter if Master Fatty is at Luofeng Martial Arts Academy or Cangxing Martial Arts Academy, I can do well in both, but what about you?”

The core of Tongming Martial Arts Academy’s team, a back-carrying knife man named He Xiao, frowned, then turned to look at Qin Yi and Jiang Shiyin behind him, and said quietly, ”Verbal bickering has no meaning.”

Fatty laughed and said, ”Seems you have some brains, but unfortunately, the higher-ups of Tongming Martial Arts Academy are not so bright.”

He Xiao couldn’t be bothered to engage with Fatty.

Sparring with folks from the Yu Family of Luofeng Martial Arts Academy only led to losses, as the Yu Family’s tradition includes being sharp-tongued.

The bickering was audible to everyone around.

The grand competition hasn’t officially started yet, and the tension is already palpable.

Everyone realized that this year’s grand competition would likely be more exciting and bustling than any previous year!
