Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 485: Chapter 191: The Second-Rank Gong Ling That Shook the Whole Arena_2

The opening that never strays from its essence.

First, the major figures entered the venue, naturally occupying the best viewing positions.

This time, there were quite a few major figures present.

The four major Martial Arts Academies, the Warring States Military Academy, and the principals of all A and B category Wuda.

This group has already filled half of the platform seats.

Next, representatives from the seven major military regiments, including some captains, followed by several majors.

Subsequently, participants dispatched by various Governor’s Mansions, with each province sending a few chief inspectors.

Several deputy ministers from the departments directly under the Cabinet were also sent.

There were even foreign friends from the embassies of various countries, who were given special viewing positions.

Admittedly, the viewing positions for foreign friends were actually quite good.

This is a grand event for the Divine Land, and everything that happens here is to be communicated back to their countries by these envoys, so they naturally have good seats.

Finally, the grandstand was filled with people.

Then, the student union members of each school entered the venue.

This could be considered a privilege for the student union members, allowing them to sit in the premium seats of the gym, which, although not the best, still allowed them to clearly see the faces of the contestants.

Next, there were some ticketed positions.

These tickets were sold, or distributed as rewards of various forms. In fact, three months ago, they had started being distributed through various channels.

Of course, at the very top of the ten-thousand-capacity stadium, there was a massive live broadcast screen.

This grand event was broadcast nationwide.

Yet, people were still willing to witness it live, because staying at home was ultimately somewhat boring.

The Minister of Education.

The Chief Inspector of Dongdu City.

The Principal of Beiwu.

The three of them took the stage and delivered a chaotic series of speeches.

Although not exactly sleep-inducing, the content was mostly the empty political rhetoric that sounded grandiose but contained little substance, read straight from the script.

After the speeches ended, it was already 9:40 AM.

”Now, I solemnly announce the opening ceremony of the Hundred Schools Battle has officially begun.

”Now, let’s welcome the delegations of each school... to enter.”

Accompanied by grandiose music, the battle delegations wearing various Wuda uniforms entered one after another.

Boom Boom Boom!

Instantly, the deafening cheers roared like tidal waves, one wave after another.

Mu Cheng and her group walked in the front.

West Martial was last year’s champion, and its female warriors played the role of the lead.

Mu Cheng walked towards the West Martial’s resting area with a poker face, silently cursing Su Yue, this unreliable guy.

Indeed, all men are big liars.

All are pig trotters.

All are big radishes full of lies.

Du Jing’s Book mingled among the crowd, beaming with pride. In the audience seats, he saw his Du Family, his grandfather, his father, as well as various uncles and cousins.

Although Du Jing’s Book hadn’t accomplished many significant feats, it was enough to make the Du Family proud.

At 18 years old.

A Third-Grade Martial Artist, bearing a Military Department medal.

This was already an outstanding prodigy.

Du Jing’s grandfather couldn’t stop smiling.

Following West Martial, the East Martial battle delegation appeared.

Serving as a substitute player, Meng Yang chose not to attend the opening ceremony, feeling too embarrassed.

East Martial, with the exceptional Feng Jiajia leading the charge.

She stared coldly at Mu Cheng.

Without Bai Xiaolong, East Martial was bound to outshine West Martial, simply without any suspense.

Wang Lu Feng waved frequently towards the audience.

Unfortunately, since his father broke through to Grandmaster, he’s been even busier than before. Wang Lu Feng couldn’t understand how a mere Investigation and Arrest Bureau could have so many issues.

The Divine Land established an Investigation and Arrest Bureau, with Wang Nanguo as its director.

Sounds impressive.

But, in reality, it’s just a chief inspector of sorts. Others manage a city, while Wang Nanguo manages all Investigation and Arrest Bureaus in the Divine Land.

Behind East Martial was North Martial.

Xu Baiyan and Yang Lezhi maintained poker faces.

Liao Ping, with his middle-parted glasses, looked somewhat foolish, and in this kind of setting, he actually felt a bit timid.

North Martial didn’t have much of a competitive spirit, as long as they didn’t lag behind.

As for Nanwu.

It’s not even worth mentioning.

Aside from Tian Hongwei glaring hatefully at Wang Lu Feng, the others appeared rather Zen-like.

No matter which school they face in the battle, Nanwu doesn’t have much chance of winning.

Although West Martial consisted of three women warriors, everyone knew Mu Cheng wasn’t a simple character.

At the Warring States Military Academy, Gong Ling walked with her head down, a bit afraid to raise it.

In the entire opening ceremony procession, she was the only second-grade, making Gong Ling particularly self-conscious.

”Gong Ling, lift your head. You are the most special one, don’t be self-conscious,”

A buzz-cut young man from the military academy said with a smile.

”Mm!”

Gong Ling nodded.

The remaining Wuda representative teams also filed in one after another.

When the four major Martial Arts Academies and military academies, as well as the top ten A category Wudas had taken their seats, the cheers in the venue had subsided significantly, as everyone’s throats couldn’t keep up.

As for the schools that entered later, they each found their own seats.

There were many Wudas, and it was obvious that some would be eliminated shortly, but for the battle teams to secure this resting area was a form of reward in itself; it was a good viewing position.

Today was the elimination round.

Twenty arenas would be suspended in midair around the venue, each hosting a match.

Tomorrow’s top 16 matchups would still take place across 20 arenas.

However, for the quarterfinal matches the day after, the stadium would be rearranged, leaving only one super-large arena in the end.

Above the quarterfinals is where the real attention lies.

The current elimination round maintained 20 separate arenas for simultaneous matches.

Even the television broadcast would select the more exciting arenas to showcase, skipping some more trivial matches in an instant.
