Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 478: Chapter 189: A Military Academy Guards a Tower_5

As for combat techniques, it’s estimated that one can learn a basic Gang Qi Blade.

But at the Warring States Military Academy, Gong Ling received special attention.

She had an eighth-grade Vice Admiral as her mentor, personally nurturing her. Of course, Gong Ling’s willpower was enough to draw attention.

She even spent three days in a state of near-death, enduring the Vice Admiral’s outstanding combat technique imprint.

Currently, Gong Ling is the top Divine Archer at the Warring States Military Academy.

Generally, when people shoot an arrow, their arm shakes after the arrow is released. This is the archer’s recoil, which nobody can avoid.

Moreover, due to the subconscious influence of humans, archers tend to glance at the arrow’s target, making such recoil actions almost unavoidable.

But the archery combat technique Gong Ling practiced focuses on counteracting these recoil actions.

It forces the cancellation of recoil.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

In the forest, Gong Ling carried a quiver on her back.

When she shot an arrow, her arm didn’t fling backward; instead, she quickly grasped another arrow.

Even before the bowstring’s vibrations stopped, Gong Ling had forcibly shot another arrow, the whistling sound was extremely piercing.

And Gong Ling’s pupils, from beginning to end, never looked at the arrows she released.

This demonstrated her extreme confidence in her aim.

Whoosh!

Another arrow shot out, and unbelievably, Gong Ling hit the arrow released earlier.

Thunk!

Because the two arrows collided, they simultaneously changed direction.

Puff!

Puff!

A student was about to have his neck slashed by an alien, despair filling his eyes.

Just then, Gong Ling’s arrow made a timely turn, piercing the alien’s forehead with unusual precision.

The other arrow pierced another alien’s neck.

Two birds with one stone.

”Thank you, Gong Ling!”

A Fourth-Grade Martial Artist sincerely thanked Gong Ling.

Gong Ling’s arrows generally found it challenging to directly kill Fourth-Grade aliens.

Unfortunately, even with Gong Ling’s precise aim, aliens would use Qi Blood to form a protective shield, making them difficult to kill even with a blade, let alone a weaker arrow.

However, if the alien was in a wounded state, there was a considerable chance for Gong Ling to deliver a finishing blow.

When heavily injured, the operation of Qi Blood in aliens slows, sometimes too late for defense.

Whoosh!

Gong Ling casually glanced at an alien before shooting an arrow again.

Puff!

Finishing blow successful.

The alien had its intestines spilled but originally wouldn’t have died.

Yet, it insisted on lowering its head to check its wound, thus briefly giving up its defense.

In that instant, Gong Ling’s arrow precisely ended its life.

”Gong Ling, your finishing move with arrows is simply world-class.”

Behind Gong Ling, two Fourth-Grade Martial Artists were constantly guarding her.

No other choice, this period, Gong Ling had become a thorn in the alien’s side in the Eighth Battlefield.

When Gong Ling wasn’t around, injured aliens could return to the city to heal, reemerging as brutal warriors in a month or two.

Unfortunately, ever since Gong Ling appeared, any alien daring to get injured on the battlefield might be finished off by Gong Ling, without even the chance of being carried back to heal.

Gong Ling’s strength wasn’t formidable.

Yet because of her presence, alien casualties increased dramatically.

After some more time, this difficult battle finally concluded.

Many from the Warring States Military Academy were injured, while alien corpses lay scattered, each with an arrow lodged in their vital points.

”Seniors, please help me retrieve the arrows, they’re too expensive to lose.”

Gong Ling was constantly shooting arrows, nearly exhausting her Qi Blood; after all, her low level was her fatal flaw.

”Of course, arrows infused with source mineral stones are pricey; who would want to lose them?”

A senior from third-year smiled and quickly went to collect arrows. He was swift.

”Gong Ling, you are now only at the Second Grade. Theoretically, you’re not qualified to participate in the Hundred-School Battle, but the academy made an exception to let you join as a substitute team member.

”Not only at the Warring States Military Academy, but in Wuda’s history, you are also the first Second-Grade student to participate in battle.

”I’m envious of you.”

As everyone gathered the battlefield remains, they joked with Gong Ling on the way back.

”That’s not true, the arena battles are one-on-one, and with my weak Qi Blood, I’ll surely lose quickly.”

Gong Ling smiled.

She was aware of her weaknesses, so she always remained humble.

”Even if we lose, it doesn’t matter; the main team can still win three in a row. Our Warring States Military Academy will certainly win the championship this time.”

A Fourth-Grade student said confidently, smiling.

”That might not be the case. East Martial has Meng Yang, who, being at the peak of Fourth Grade, is nearly invincible.

”Previously, West Martial Bai Xiaolong could suppress Meng Yang, but now Bai Xiaolong has advanced to Fifth Grade, making Meng Yang undisputedly the number one at Wuda.

”Our Warring States Military Academy might face a tough battle.”

Another Fourth-Grade student said.

”Meng Yang might not take part; his rival is Bai Xiaolong. With Bai Xiaolong advancing to Fifth Grade, it hit Meng Yang hard. He might not even join the battle, perhaps he’s eager to find a Fifth-Grade opportunity.”

Others also discussed.

”This time, West Martial’s main team comprises three female soldiers, Mu Cheng is still a third-year student. This West Martial is quite odd, but they are truly lucky, even if they rank last, they remain the uncrowned king.

”Bai Xiaolong, impressive, Fifth Grade!”

Someone else remarked.

”West Martial, I wonder what level Su Yue has reached now.”

Since Gong Ling was at the Warring States Military Academy, she received quite a bit of intelligence from the Military Department. She knew of Su Yue’s repeated achievements, though she heard Su Yue was still a Second Grade, with his Qi restricted.
