Bear School Astartes

Chapter 126: 126. So annoying!

In the Airetusa Academy of Gos Velen.

Margaret set down the conical crystal in her hand.

This was the Headmaster’s office in the academy, and the golden-haired beauty, who was serving as the headmaster, reclined on a luxurious chaise lounge.

The draping fabric on her body, under the influence of gravity, outlined a figure that could ignite any man’s inner desires.

Meanwhile, on the nearby desk was Tishaya, the recently resigned honorary headmaster, who was engrossed in handling one file after another.

Managing the daily affairs of Airetusa Academy, as Tishaya mentioned, still fell on her shoulders.

Margaret was not a woman with the patience for administration; she was far more patient with makeup than with correcting documents.

Her promotion to headmaster was mostly a declaration of Airetusa’s power to the increasingly chaotic world.

For instance, Philippa Eilhart, the actual ruler behind Redania, knew well that even if she tied both hands, she wouldn’t rival Margaret in magic.

On the day of Margaret’s promotion, Philippa personally came through a portal to offer congratulations.

And now, this female warlock, who wasn’t at the top, but counted among the elite in the field of magic, had slowly put down the conical crystal with a gloomy expression.

”Triss Merigold!”

After a while, Margaret reluctantly muttered a name.

”A runaway! A sneaky cat!”

Tishaya paused slightly in her file processing but soon resumed normally.

”You’re beyond the age of learning in the academy, Rita. Don’t talk ill of your sister like you’re part of a squabbling clique.”

Neatly dressed, yet with a rather open neckline, the female warlock glanced up at her student.

”Especially when she is currently the hottest royal advisor in Temeria’s officialdom.”

Upon mentioning this, Margaret became even more frustrated.

She didn’t care for intoxicating power, but she cared how Triss obtained it!

”Yes! The hottest! But it’s Lann who gave her that heat!”

”She helped in Temeria, took risks, and even if she’s now sleeping with that Demon Hunter, there’s nothing to say... honestly, given Merigold’s impulsive personality, she probably couldn’t refuse him. And you set them up, remember?”

At this point, Margaret’s face looked even more displeased.

”Ah ah ah! So annoying!”

Her beautiful golden hair was wildly scattered by the frustrated master.

In these moments, Margaret resembled a schoolgirl on the verge of losing her love interest.

As her teacher, Tishaya calmly continued processing files.

But in the next moment, the originally symmetrical stacks of files experienced slight friction, breaking the symmetry as Tishaya processed them.

Tishaya had once suggested to Margaret, if she truly recognized Lann’s potential, then mark the Demon Hunter with her sign, the sign of Airetusa.

Give him benefits, provide support, even offer emotion.

But unexpectedly, Tishaya never imagined that in just a few days after leaving Airetusa, this young Demon Hunter would have made such a stir.

Tishaya still appeared youthful and radiant, but she was actually a powerful mage nearing five hundred years old. In her lengthy life, she had never encountered such an individual.

Lann learned about Auridon’s current situation through Margaret’s letter.

He felt a great weight lifted from his heart.

He began to settle down in Deepwater Haven, awaiting the summons for a task from the Lady of the Lake.

Meanwhile, Belengar began tutoring Lann.

”So... you can’t make alchemy bombs at all, [North Wind], [Beekeeping]... nothing?”

In a room of the tavern, Lann nodded in front of Belengar with candor.

Looking considerably revitalized, the old Demon Hunter continued probing his pupil’s foundational skills.

”Ignoring the more complex decoctions, you can only make a few types of magic potions and sword oils?”

Lann pointed out a key difference at this juncture.

”Actually, it’s mostly that I lack the formulas, but I’m quite confident in my alchemy skills.”

This was precisely what Mentos had said in his mind.

Belengar’s doubts, in Mentos’s view, were akin to questioning his professional abilities!

However, Belengar didn’t want to argue this point with Lann.

He needed to calm himself down.

... Damn, you really didn’t use any tools! Did you straight-up hack two hundred warriors to death?!

Since when did the Bear School become so absurdly strong, and how come I knew nothing of it!

Vesemir didn’t mention anything either!

”Did you really... use no tools at all last night?”

Belengar swallowed, looking at Lann who showed no signs of injury, confirming his perceptions.

He had thought Lann would at least fight like a traditional Demon Hunter.

Coat his sword with sword oil, consume toxic potions and decoctions, hang alchemy bombs ready at hand...

If it were in an infiltrated situation without any warnings, Belengar felt there should be a few capable members in his school who could accomplish Lann’s last night’s feat with adequate preparation.

At least Vesemir, that fossil of the Wolf School, though over four hundred years old, could take out over two hundred people in a complex terrain when fully armed, sparing no cost.

Belengar had full confidence in the old man’s combat abilities.

Yet no matter how confident, if you told him Vesemir hacked and killed over two hundred excellent warriors using only a sword, it would be hard to believe.

”I used a bottle of [Hangman’s Venom], [Thunderbolt], [Blizzard], and Yakxi Rune.”

Lann earnestly listed the techniques he employed last night.

Magic Seal was a significant part of his fighting strategy.

Last night, facing plate armor warriors who couldn’t be taken down in one strike, it was often Mentos who assisted with [Yakxi Rune], disrupting the enemies’ thoughts.

Made them feel the helm’s claustrophobia unbearable, or a certain armor piece’s awkwardness hard to ignore.

This culminated in Lann’s sword piercing straight into their bodies.

Combat was never a comfortable thing; wearing armor certainly wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Mentos was at ease capturing these emotional analyses.

Belengar’s mouth twitched.

Instinctively, he wanted to retort that outside the Griffin School, all other magic seals were scraping.

However, considering the oddities of Lann, he bit his tongue.

”Alright then...”

”We’ll start with basic alchemy. I’ll give you the formulas in a sequence, gradually deepening from simple to complex for practice and understanding.”

Lann raised a brow.

”Wow, you really know how to teach.”

”It’s not me knowing how to teach,” Belengar said emotionlessly. ”It’s how things were taught to me by others.”
