Chapter 2334: Attacked in a Northern Village I

”To think that they have repaired the fields! The elves that Lady Frey brought really do have the power of nature on their side. It is quite different from the elves in the stories that we were told about.” One of the patrolling warriors stated.

”That is because they are not the elves from the legends. Their skin is not as white as snow but full of color. You can even feel the warmth of nature from their leader that has more pointy ears.” Another patrolling warrior stated.

”I hope that there would not be any attacks from the monsters as they eradicated a lot of them earlier. Even if we do not have crops, our storage is now going to be filled with meat instead.” The first patroller stated.

Just as the patroller stated that specific line, a volley of arrows could suddenly be seen in the skies above. The warriors that saw the attack immediately screamed to those that were in the area to escape. The arrows were not the normal arrows as they were made of pure ice. The entire field is suddenly full of ice arrows that created an effect of freezing even the ground.

”My leg!” One of the warriors stated as his leg was hit by the ice arrow, but it did not become frozen.

”Evil Elves!” The warriors shouted as they saw the silhouette that they have been seeing earlier, but they also got a glimpse of the skin color of their attackers.

”Hurry and alert the Village Chief!” The warrior with an ice arrow on his leg shouted as he gritted his teeth and broke the arrow.

”But!” The young-looking patroller stated in panic.

”You are the fastest among us. Hurry and call for Lady Frey and his companions as well. The fields that they restored has now been frozen by those scum.” The injured warrior stated.

”Okay.” The young warrior replied as he dashed towards the house of the Village Chief while also telling the others that they are under attack.

”At least the youngest should survive this initial attack.” The injured warrior stated as he counted more than twenty silhouettes from the frozen forest.

”So, the does this mean that the origin of all the tribes in the northern continent are the same?” Levin Cloud asked.

”You are correct as we were all one people back then when the north was perilous for us. The actual fragmentation into other tribes started when the Great Mother Winter died. Her abilities were split to her daughters that did not get a long quite well. Still, all of us know that we are from one original tribe which is why we often stop the fight if means we will no longer have anyone alive at the end of it.” Village Chief Taran stated but she suddenly stood up as she heard lots of shouting from the outside.

”What is happening from the outside?” Peridot asked as her hearing was the most sensitive amongst all of them.

”Village Chief! Evil elves!” The young warrior shouted with a tired face.

”Evil elves?” Levin Cloud stated as he then looked at the wood elves that he came with as he knew that they were the only elves present in the territory.

”No! Apologies for the wording but not all of you… benevolent ones. The ones in our legends that eat our people are real! They are attacking the patrollers right now and even froze the fields that the benevolent ones restored.” The young warrior stated.

”Gather everyone and prepare for battle. To think that they are still alive and have not died off.” Village Chief Taran stated with an irritated expression.

”They were real! The Frost Elves are still alive?” One of the wood elves stated.

”The last attack we had from them was when I was about five years old. They wiped my previous tribe while the children and women were able to escape. The other village chiefs made sure to send letters should their tribes get attacked but we never had any encounter with them since. The fact that the came out means they are once again in need for the flesh and blood of our brethren.” Village Chief Taran stated.

”We shall help you.” Frey stated.

”I was waiting for you to say that. My knees hurt from kneeling on the cold floor. No offense. It is a good floor, but you need heating.” Peridot stated as she stood up.

”I shall help as well. The elves can help heal the ones injured.” Levin Cloud stated.

”I should not impose on our guests. The enemies are after us which is why I must tell all of you to escape from here.” Village Chief Taran stated as someone brought her a large shield that towered even her body.

”You are not imposing on us. I just want to destroy the ones that dare to destroy the fields that I restored.” Levin Cloud stated.

”But we restored most of it though.” The wood elf leader added in a whispered voice.

”Please let us help you.” Frey stated with great conviction.

”I can see the eyes of warriors when I look at all of you. I shall accept the help but please escape if things get dangerous.” Village Chief Taran stated as she led them to the frontlines.

”Ugh!” The warrior screamed as his body got pierced by a frozen sword that actually froze the body part that was stabbed.

The tribal warriors were fighting against a group of twenty Frost Elves that came out of the forest. Since the ambush was perfectly timed, most of the tribal warriors were defeated but they were not killed. Instead of being killed, a monster that looks like a mixture of a frozen horse and a deer picked them up and carried them in a wagon. They are not being killed but are being collected instead which infuriated the warriors even more.

”Do you feel the energy of the Forest Guardian?” The leader of the Frost Elf unit asked a hooded Frost Elf that seems to be a mage.
