Chapter 2263: Rush Back To The Hospital

Shen Tienyu wanted to run away. She was not serious about her threat earlier. She did not know that the big boss of Qinyue Group was here. Otherwise, how dare she speak something like that?

”I am joking, Miss Tang... I mean, Chairman Tang.” Shen Tianyu said to Yu Qi.

”Your tone sounds like you are not joking.” Yu Qi said.

”No... No... I am really just joking.” Shen Tienyu said.

”Get lost.” Yu Qi said.

Without waiting for a second, Shen Tienyu ran away without looking back. Liu Qiaolian could not help but laugh after seeing Shen Tienyu run away.

”She must be scared to her bones.” Liu Qiaolian said.

”Just dating a son of the director gives her so much face? How pathetic.” Miao Meimei scoffed.

”Forget about her. Letʼs go and have some tea. I know a good teahouse here.” Miao Meimei stated.

”Yeah... I am thirsty too.” Liu Qiaolian said.

The boutique staff told the women they would contact them after the dresses were ready. The woman left the boutique.

Miao Meimei led them to the teahouse she mentioned before. It seemed Miao Meimei was a member of this teahouse. When Miao Meimei showed the staff a card at the entrance, the staff led them to a private room.

”Are you a member of this teahouse?” Yu Qi asked.

”Yes. Well, at first, I was forced to be a member of this teahouse. After trying their tea, I fell in love with their tea. They also have delicious desserts. They often recommend the desserts that best suit the tea.” Miao Meimei said.

After they got seated, the waiter came over to give them a hot towel to clean their hands.

”What kind of dessert do you have today?” Miao Meimei asked the waiter.

They chose the desserts that they wanted. After that, the waiter began to recommend the tea that went well with the desserts that they chose.

The waiter left the room. Yu Qi glanced at the door. When the waiter opened the room, she could see someone sneak into the room and stay silent at the door.

15 minutes later, their orders arrived. Yu Qi smelled the tea first. It smelled good. It went really well with the desserts that she chose. She remembered when she was Qin Yue. She learned the art of tea and liked to make tea for her master.

While they were enjoying their tea, they suddenly heard a loud sound. Next, they could feel that the building was shaking hard.

”Earthquake!” Yu Qi shouted. ”Sit down and cover your head.”

They could not fit under the table because the table was too short. They could only sit down and wait for the earthquake to stop. They were on the fifth floor.

After 10 minutes, the shaking finally stopped. They were glad that the building did not collapse. Only the furniture was moved.

They quickly tried to get out of the building. Most of the lifts were out of service. The working one was already filled with people. They had no choice; they used the stairs.

They needed to be faster. Afraid that there would be an aftershock. Once they were out of the shopping mall, they saw a lot of people too. Some of the buildings had collapsed.

”I need to go to the hospital now.” Yu Qi said.

”Why? Donʼt tell me that you are injured?” Song Su Jin said.

”No... No... I am not injured. People might rush to the ER Department. The staff will not be enough to handle the people.” Yu Qi explained.

”Oh... I see.” Song Su Jin was relieved to hear that.

”How are you going to go there?” Miao Meimei asked.

”My ride is here.” Yu Qi said.

She pointed at the car that coincidentally stopped not far from them. The driver was Long Hui. He went to the parking lot and drove out. Not many people dared to go to the parking lot after the earthquake. They ran away, saving themselves first.

Yu Qi ran to the car. Once she entered the car, she ordered Long Hui to go to the hospital. 15 minutes later, they arrived at the hospital. Long Hui dropped Yu Qi at the entrance and drove off. He knew that he parked the car there as there would be ambulances coming in and out. The security guards played an important role here. They would control the traffic here so that the ambulances could come in and out smoothly.

The ER Department was already full of people who came to get treatment. The nurses who saw Yu Qi were surprised.

”Doctor Yu Qi, what are you doing here? Was today your day off?” The nurse was surprised to see Yu Qi here.

”Yes... It is indeed my day off. I happened to be out when the earthquake struck. I know our ER will be staffed with the patients coming in, so Iʼll come to help.” Yu Qi stated.

She was already working on the patients who had just been dropped by the ambulances. The nurses smiled when they heard that. As Yu Qi predicted, their ER Department was swarmed by people.

Fortunately, most of them were not seriously injured. The people who did not need to be hospitalised had been sent home so that the hospital bed could be used for someone who needed it. Some nurses and doctors finally could drink some water after the chaos.
