Chapter 2259: Like Old Friend

Song Su Jin received a call from Su Yu Hi. She answered the call and heard Su Yu Hiʼs panicked voice on the other side.

”Su Jin, are you okay?” Su Yu Hi asked.

Su Yu Hi was on a business trip to the Capital City. He had a meeting with Nigeru Koen that Yu Qi pushed him to attend. Otherwise, he had already rushed to Song Su Jin. He watched the online news and came across Song Su Jinʼs incident.

”I am fine... I did not spend much time in the lake as Yu Qi happened to be there and saved me.” Song Su Jin asked.

”Has this happened because of someone?” Su Yu Hi asked.

”No... No... It happened because the bridge that we stepped on was rotting. Due to our weight, the bridge collapsed.” Song Su Jin stated.

”Are you sure about that?” Su Yu Hi asked again.

”Yeah. I donʼt think that anyone would dare to do something to Su Yu Hiʼs fiancé.” Song Su Jin laughed.

”Fine... Do take care of yourself.” Su Yu Hi advised.

”Yes... Yes... Come back safely.” Song Su Jin said.

The call ended. Song Su Jin met the two eyes who were watching her with interest.

”Oh... This is how both of you talk.” Liu Qiaolian said.

Song Su Jinʼs face flushed red. She forgot that she was with Liu Qiaolian and Miao Meimei for dinner. Liu Qiaolian and Song Su Jin wanted to go to a normal restaurant, but Miao Meimei insisted on going to a high-end restaurant and even booked a private room. She said it was a privacy.

Well, the actresses indeed needed the privacy. Both Liu Qiaolian and Song Su Jin gave in to Miao Meimeiʼs request. So, they were in the private room waiting for their food to arrive. It was when Song Su Jin received a call from Su Yu Hi. Su Yu Hi probably read the news about her falling into the lake.

”I am jealous. I want a boyfriend, too.” Liu Qiaolian said.

”Then, find one.” Miao Meimei replied nonchalantly.

Liu Qiaolian glared at Miao Meimei. ”It is easy for you to say that. How can I have a boyfriend now? My career might be destroyed.”

”You are indeed telling the truth. But which one that you want the most right now?” Miao Meimei asked.

”My career.” Liu Qiaolian answered without any pause.

”Thereʼs your answer.” Miao Meimei smirked.

”But if I get a boyfriend like Mr Su, my mindset might be swayed.” Liu Qiaolian stated.

”Then, you should think when the time comes.” Miao Meimei replied.

”Tsk... Can you not be so blunt with your words?” Liu Qiaolian clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes at Miao Meimei.

”What? I am just telling the truth.” Miao Meimei also replied to Liu Qiaolian by rolling her eyes back at Liu Qiaolian.

Song Su Jin chuckled as she listened to the girls bickering. That made both girls turn their attention to her.

”Why are you laughing?” Both of them asked the same question.

Song Su Jin chuckled again. ”You both are like old friends bickering like this.”

Hearing that, Liu Qiaolian and Miao Meimei rolled their eyes again.

”Whoʼs friends with her?” Both of them said the same sentence again.

This time, Song Su Jin broke into laughter.

While the three girls were having a meal together, the public was having online fights. The fans of the three girls were blaming each other.

Song Su Jinʼs fans accused Liu Qiaolian and Miao Meimei of Song Su Jinʼs fall. They thought that Miao Meimei was jealous of Song Su Jin for landing a second female lead in the drama since Miao Meimei was more influential and had much more experience than Song Su Jin.

Liu Qiaolian had been paid by Miao Meimei to cause Song Su Jin to fall into the lake. In order not to let others think that she was in it, Liu Qiaolian also fell into the lake with Song Su Jin. Liu Qiaolianʼs fans accused Song Su Jin of pushing Liu Qiaolian into the lake because Song Su Jin wanted to be the female lead in the drama.

These fans came out with many theories. It was like they wrote a short novel. They did not know that the three girls were having a fun meal. They did not know about the drama.

Song Su Jin snapped a picture with Liu Qiaolian and Miao Meimei, who were still bickering with each other. She posted the picture on her social media with the caption, ”They are bickering like old friends, but this is their first time having a meal together.”

This post baffled everyone. While they were fighting, defending the favourite actresses, those actresses were having a meal together. Looking at the picture, they looked like good friends.

Miao Meimei and Liu Qiaolian noticed that Song Su Jin was taking pictures of them.

”What are you going to do with those photos?” Miao Meimei asked.

”I already posted it.” Song Su Jin said.

”What?” Both girls were surprised.

They grabbed their phones and looked at social media. Song Su Jin had indeed posted the post.

Liu Qiaolian commented on the post. ʼWhy does my face look ugly in this photo? And whoʼs friend with her?ʼ

Seeing the comment popped out, Miao Meimei also began to comment on the post. ”Even in this candid photo, I am still looking pretty. Not like that someone. And yes, whoʼs friend with her? Sorry, not me.”
