Chapter 2253 Lee Familyʼs Moves

After finishing handling Huo Liweiʼs matter, Yu Qi and Long Hui started focusing on Yu Qiʼs matter. They decided to stay at the Dian Family for a while. They went through the information that Neko-chan got from the research center.

MicroTech Venture. It was a name that often popped up in the information. MicroTech Venture was a business group that existed around 60 years ago. It was an old company. They had many businesses. However, its core was a health care business. They owned several hospitals and pharmacies as well as research centers. And the research center that Yu Qi and Long Hui burned down two days ago was owned by MicroTech Venture.

Yu Qi wanted to know about the situation at Continent M, so she texted Neko-chan. She already asked Neko-chan to pay attention to this matter.

Q: Neko-chan, what happened after we left the continent M?

Neko-chan informed Yu Qi about the situation at Continent M. The police found people who had been burned inside. They also found that this building has been used as a research center for human experiments. They also suspected the human beings used in the experiment were victims of human trafficking activities.

However, the police had been approached by the Lee Family regarding this matter. The Lee Family advised the police to hide those facts. They did not want the truth to be known to the public.

Because of the Lee Familyʼs influence, the police could not help to bury the truth. The police released a statement that the fire started because of a careless mistake that one of the researchers had made during the experiment. They even used the name of the researcher team, which had died in the fire, too.

The public trusted the policeʼs statement. They scolded the dead researcher for causing such a big fire. However, one hour after the policeʼs statement, an anonymous account had also posted a statement about this fire incident.

The account boldly claimed that the police were lying. They hid the truth. The real truth about this incident. Some of the netizens were curious about what the police had been lying about. So, they started to comment on the post. Not many. Just a few people were interested.

The owner of the account began to spill the tea. He started to tell the netizen that the police had been bribed by the Lee family to hide everything about the netizen. The Lee Family was indeed famous because of their healthcare business. They knew about the Lee family.

He told the netizen that the research home belonged to the Lee Family. That was where they researched the new development in medicine. This fact was known to everyone. However, the next statement from the owner of the account shocked them that the research center used a living human being in their research on medicine. And there were a lot of human beings who had been used as medicine testers.

The owner of the account provided the picture of several human beings that had been captured and placed in the cage. Their expressions were blank and void. They seemed to be alive, but they had already died inside.

The next picture was the same cage, but it was after the fire. They could see several burned bodies in the cage.

The netizens were shocked. They did not know what to say at this moment. The picture was clear.

The new information about this fire spread among the netizens. The police got hold of the matter when one of the police officers told his superior about this. The superior was shocked. They began to receive calls from many people about this new information, asking for the truth.

The superior did not know what to do. He needed to contact the Lee Family to inform them about this. He did not need to inform them because they already knew about that. The Lee Familyʼs acquaintance reached out to the Lee Family asking about the matter. That was because the owner of the anonymous account mentioned that the Lee Family was bribing the police.

The Lee family called out for a meeting to resolve the matter.

”Miss Angelica, what should we do?” One of the elders asked.

Angelica Lee was not eager to speak. She was thinking about their next move. That building was not the Lee Familyʼs property. They had evidence to prove it. As for the research that had been conducted in the building, it had not been done by the Lee Family. They only purchased the medicine from the research center.

Well, it was better to cut ties for now. Their pharmacies still had a supply for the next three months. They needed to find another supplier.

Angelica Lee began to state her plan on how to solve the problem in front of them. The elders nodded in satisfaction when they heard about Angelica Leeʼs suggestion. They agreed with the plan. They began to work on the plan.

They ordered the PR department to make the move. They immediately gave out the statement that the building, as well as the research center, did not belong to the Lee Family. They only purchased the medicine from the research center.

They also clarified that they did not know that the research center had been using human in their research on developing medicines. They told the netizen that they would purchase the medicine from them ever again.
