Chapter 2223: Chapter 2223: Grandpa Long Also Came To Visit

”Ah!!! I forget to tell him. I am just worried about you and drive here.” Feng Yue immediately took out her phone and checked for any miscall or message from Xia Zi Qie.

There were indeed miscalls and messages from Xia Zi Qie asking about her whereabouts. When she was about to call Xia Zi Qie back, there was a call incoming through. She immediately answered it.

”Hello... Yes... Yes... I am fine... I am sorry... I am currently at Yu Qiʼs house... Yes... You also see the news, right? No need to come... She is recuperating. Her family does not allow visitors. Me? I am her best friend. Yes. I want to stay for a couple of days here... Yes... See you.” Feng Yue ended the call.

”Is it him, your boyfriend?” Yu Qi asked.

”Yes. I forgot that I put my phone in silent mode while driving here.” Feng Yue said. ”He wants to come but I donʼt allow him to come. It is better that fewer people know about your condition, am I right?”

”Yes.” Yu Qi nodded.

”Great. Itʼs time to spend time together.” Feng Yue said. ”By the way, Yu Qi, where is Aoi?”

Aoi, who was inside Sere, suddenly felt cold on his back. He was sleeping at that moment, woke up, and looked around.

”Owh... I leave him at the research. Some people take care of him there.” Yu Qi lied.

”Oh... I thought I was going to see him. That cute and shy one.” Feng Yue grinned as she remembered seeing Aoi freaked out when he saw her.

In the evening, a car stopped in front of Tang Residence. The driver did not have the pass to enter the neighbourhood. So, the security guard asked which house they were going to visit. The person stated Tang Residence. Then, the security guard called Tang Residence asking whether they knew the visitor.

When Grandpa Hang heard the name of the visitor, he told the security guard to let them pass through. Grandpa Hang went to inform Grandpa Tang about this personʼs arrival. Grandpa Tang was also surprised when he heard the person was coming to his house.

The gate was opened allowing the car to enter the front yard. Grandpa Tang welcomed the person. They shook hands and hugged each other.

”Long time no see, Jiang Man.” Grandpa Long said.

It was Grandpa Long who came and visited them.

”Welcome.” Grandpa Tang said.

”How is she?” Grandpa Long asked.

Grandpa Tang seemed to know who he was talking about. ”She is fine. No need to worry. We did not release much information about her because those scumbags still targeting her.”

”So, they were the culprit behind the car accident?” Grandpa Long asked.

”That is what Yu Qi said when she tried to hide from them after they hit her car into the river.” Grandpa Tang said.

”I want to see her. Is she at the hospital now?” Grandpa Long was worried.

”No... No... She is here. I will ask someone to call her.” Grandpa Tang said.

”Eh... No need. I will go to her. She is injured.” Grandpa Tang said.

”Her injury is not that bad.” Grandpa Tang said.

”Miss Yu Qi is still at the gazebo with her friend.” Grandpa Hang stated.

”Letʼs go there.” Grandpa Tang said.

Grandpa Long followed Grandpa Tang. From a distance, they could hear some people laughing.

”Feng Yue?” Grandpa Long was surprised to see his granddaughter also here.

”Grandpa? What are you doing here?” Feng Yue was surprised to see Grandpa Long here.

”I come to see Yu Qi.” Grandpa Long said.

”Are you taking a flight here? Or driving here?” Yu Qi asked in worry.

She forgot to contact Grandpa Long to inform him about her condition. If she contacted him earlier, he would not have taken a tiring journey here.

”You donʼt have to worry much about me. I take a flight here and have a driver to drive me here from the airport. I was worried about you.” Grandpa Long said.

”I am sorry. I should have called you earlier. Otherwise, you donʼt have to come here.” Yu Qi said.

”Itʼs okay. I am glad to see you are not badly injured. If that brat sees you lying on the bed, I donʼt want to think about what that brat is going to do.” Grandpa Long said.

He was relieved to see his granddaughter-in-lawʼs condition.

”Letʼs sit down and talk for a while.” Yu Qi said.

Grandpa Tang ordered Grandpa Hang to bring some more tea.

”What are you doing here, Yue?” Grandpa Long moved his eyes to Feng Yue who sat beside Yu Qi.

”The same reason as you.” Feng Yue answered.

”Are you not working?” Grandpa Long asked.

”I ask for some leave.” Feng Yue grinned.

”Is Feng Mong know that you are here?” Grandpa Long asked again.

”Ah... I forget to tell him. I will text him right away.” Feng Yue said, grabbing her phone to send a text message to her grandfather.

Grandpa Long asked Yu Qi about the kidnapper. Yu Qi told what she encountered after her car was hitting.

”While hiding, I can hear they talking about finding me as soon as possible and leave that place.” Yu Qi said.

”So, they really staged that accident.” Grandpa Long narrowed his eyes.

Grandpa Long currently looked like Long Hui who was silently holding back his anger.

Feng Yue: Eh? Why are you here?

Xia Zi Qie: Donʼt you tell me to come over to pick you up?

Feng Yue: I donʼt say that.

Xia Zi Qie: I get the call from your cousin.

Feng Yue: He... What? He is lying. He calls you to pick me up because he think I am disturbing them to be intimate together.

Xia Zi Qie: Then, I indeed should come and pick you up. Come. Letʼs go home.
