Chapter 2206: Dinner With Grandpa Long

Yu Qi arrived at the restaurant. When she was about to step into the restaurant, she heard her name being called. When she turned around, she saw Bai Shu Jin. Her expression became cold. ”What a coincidence to see you here, Miss Tang.” Bai Shu Jin smiled faintly.

”Yes.” Yu Qi replied.

”Are you going to have dinner here too?” Bai Shu Jin asked.

”Why asking the oblivious thing?” Yu Qi responded.

”Why donʼt we share a table together?” Bai Shu Jin asked again.

”No need. I promise to eat dinner with my grandfather-in-law.” Yu Qi stated.

”Grandfather in law? I donʼt know that Miss Yu Qi is already married.” Bai Shu Jin said.

”Nope of your business.” Yu Qi rolled her eyes. ”Yu Qi.” Yu Qi heard Grandpa Longʼs voice. She turned around and saw Grandpa Long walk toward her. ”Grandpa, you are here.” Yu Qi went closer to Grandpa Long.

”Why are you still here, not going in?” Grandpa Long asked while glancing at Bai Shu Jin.

”I am just about to come in.” Yu Qi smiled.

”Letʼs go in.” Grandpa Long said.

”Yes... Yes...” Yu Qi nodded.

She held Grandpa Longʼs hand while walking in leaving Bai Shu Jin behind. Bai Shu Jin smiled sadly watching Yu Qi walk in. He pushed away his sadness and walked in. He had a dinner meeting with his client. He did not want to mess up.

”Is that brat from the Bai Family who wants to swallow your business and ruin your reputation as the doctor?” Grandpa Long asked after both of them got seated.

”Yeah.” Yu Qi nodded.

”He does not seem that kind of person.” Grandpa Long commented.

”Well... the one who wants to swallow my business is his father and the one who wants to ruin my reputation as a doctor is her mother.” Yu Qi stated.

”My grandson probably hates that man so much.” Grandpa Long guessed.

”How do you know?” Yu Qi asked.

”That Bai guy probably likes you too. I can tell from the way he looks at you.” Grandpa Long said.

Yu Qi laughed. ”I donʼt know that Grandpa is an expert on love.” ”Humph! Who do you think I am? I was once as young as you guys.” Grandpa Long stated proudly. ”I also had my beloved one too. Someone also looked at my beloved like Bai Guy looked at you. So, I know that brat has feelings for you. My grandson must be wary of him.” ”Grandpa, donʼt worry. I only have eyes on Brother Hui.” Yu Qi stated. ”Yu Qi, I was really happy when he fell in love with you. I thought he was going to spend his whole life single.” Grandpa Long stated. Then, he continued. ”At some point, I thought he was gay.” Yu Qi almost choked and spurt the water that she had been drinking. ”G...Gay?” ”Yes. He has been in the military ground for his whole life, surrounded by men, and did not show any interest in women at all. That is why I thought that way.” Grandpa Long said.

Yu Qi laughed. Even his own grandfather thought he was gay in the past. Having dinner with Grandpa Long was very satisfying. Grandpa Long kept entertaining her with funny stories about Long Hui while he was still young. After they finished dinner, Yu Qi walked Grandpa Long to his car. The driver had been waiting for Grandpa Long. Before Grandpa Long entered the car, Grandpa Long looked around. ”Bodyguards?” Grandpa Long said one word.

”Yes. They are from the government. The government is afraid that I might be kidnapped.” Yu Qi stated.

”The government is doing the right thing. A researcher like you indeed needs protection.” Grandpa Long nodded.

”Before this, Brother Hui acted like my bodyguard. Since he is going to the mission, the government sent others.” Yu Qi said.

”Make sure to be careful of your surroundings.” Grandpa Long advised.

”Yes, Grandpa. You too, take care on the way back.” Yu Qi nodded.

Grandpa Long entered the car. The driver got the signal from Grandpa Long and drove off. Yu Qi went to her car and returned to the hotel. ....

Yu Qi did not know the next morning there would be news about her and Bai Shu Jin. Apparently, a reporter saw Yu Qi and Bai Shu Jinʼs interaction in front of the restaurant. He took several photos of them. He was indeed searching for something to write. He did not expect to see Yu Qi and Bai Shu Jin there.

The reporter made up a story saying that Yu Qi was having a private meeting with Bai Shu Jin. He wrote that Yu Qi was having an affair with Bai Shu Jin. A lot of Yu Qi and Long Huiʼs couple fans got angry about this. They could not believe that Yu Qi would be having an affair with Bai Shu Jin. They protected Yu Qi. As for Long Huiʼs fans, they got angry. They felt that Yu Qi had betrayed Long Hui and demanded that Yu Qi break off their engagement.

Yu Qi was not looking at the searched topic on the internet. She was getting ready to go to Nigeru Koen. After getting ready, she went to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

When she was on the way to the restaurant, she could feel the stares on herself. She wondered what was it about. She ignored them and got her breakfast. ***Thank you, from, your shameless author, ZerahNeko***
