Chapter 2052: Chapter 2052: Song Su Jinʼs Speech

The ceremony began with a performance. It showed a famous scene from a famous work, Romeo and Julietʼs window scene. That had been played by students of the academy.

After that, the award ceremony started. The MC was very funny. The award ceremony was very quite fun. Many categories were awarded. Even though the atmosphere was quite lively, Yu Qi still felt sleepy. Because of that, she fell asleep leaning on Long Huiʼs shoulder.

Long Hui did not mind Yu Qi sleeping on his shoulder. He even took good care of her, afraid that she would fall down. After one hour of napping, Yu Qi woke up.

”How long has I been sleeping?” Yu Qi asked whispering to Long Hui.

”One hour.” Long Hui answered.

”I need to go to the restroom to refresh.” Yu Qi said.

”I will go with you.” Long Hui said.

”Eh... No need for that.” Yu Qi said.

”It is okay. I donʼt want the same thing to happen to you.” Long Hui referred to the previous incident in which he went to the restroom.

”Fine... Do as you please.” Yu Qi said.

Yu Qi stood up carefully followed by Long Hui. Maybe because Long Hui was around, Yu Qi was safe going to the toilet. When they returned to their seat, it seemed they were about to announce the winner for the best actor award.

”The winner for the best actor for this year is... Drum roll, please... Xie Yaoting!” The MC said. With that, the cheer could be heard. The fans were chanting Xie Yaotingʼs name. Xie Yaoting stood up turned around and bowed at the audience. The fansʼs cheer became louder.

Yu Qi looked the winner. One glance and she was done. Because she often faced good-looking men, she felt that Xie Yaotingʼs look was quite normal for her. She clapped as everyone else. Xie Yaoting got up on the stage and received the award. He began his speech by thanking everyone who helped him to be able to get at this point. He also mentioned his fans. When he finished thanking his fans, his fans started chanting his name. His power base was quite solid. It was a pity that he was from another entertainment company. She assumed that he would probably stick with his current company for the time being.

So, the next award would be the Best Actress award. There were 6 nominations. Song Su Jin was one of them. The screen began to show one by one of the nominated actresses for this category. Among them was Song Su Jin who acted as a lawyer in the film.

”Whose among these 6 actresses is going to win the title of the Best Actress for this year? Letʼs open this envelope.” Both of the presenters opened the envelope and smiled. ”Okay... Letʼs announce the winner of the Best Actress Award. It fell to... Congratulations, Song Su Jin for winning this Best Actress Award for this year.”

Everyone was clapping. Song Su Jin who sat in the second row stood up and bowed to the audience. Su Yu Hi smiled as he looked proudly at his fiance. Song Su Jin walked up to the stage.

The presenters gave the award to Song Su Jin. Song Su Jin thanked them. It was time for the speech. She thanked her fans and everyone involved in her career.

”I would gave my special thank to both of these people. One for my fiance, Su Yu Hi. Darling, thank you very much from the bottom of myself. Thank you for being next to me. The second one for Tang Yu Qi, my benefactor. If this is not because of her, I would never stand here. She chose me to be the ambassador for her skincare business despite the negative rumour about me at that time. Thank you, Yu Qi.” Song Su Jin finished her speech and bowed one more. The next and last award was the best movie for the year winned by the film which produced by Qiaosu Entertainment. The director of the film went up to the stage and received the award. The next event was the party. All of the guests were invited to attend the party. Yu Qi and Long Hui also went to the party. A lot people came and greeted Yu Qi. Yu Qi exchanged greeting with others.

Then, a group of people came rushing toward Yu Qi. Long Hui pulled Yu Qi shielding her from those people. The people stopped in front of Yu Qi.

Yu Qi recognized two of the people. They were the women at the restroom earlier. One of them was Lucy and another one, Yu Qi believed, was a member from their girl group.

”Miss Tang, I am the manager of the girl group, Trouble, Shen Zhen. I have Please forgive us.” Shen Zhen bowed down to Yu Qi.

”I am the leader of Trouble, Mao Biya. I am also sorry for the trouble that our group member caused. We also will get Lucy to apologize to you too.” Mao Biya also bowed down to Yu Qi. Shen Zhen pulled Lucy to the front. ”Apologize to Miss Tang right now.”

Lucy was reluctant to apologize to Yu Qi from her expression. She still thought what she had done before was not wrong.

”Lucy, you...” Shen Zhen gritted his teeth.

He did not understand why Lucy did not feel scared or anything.
