Starting as a Blind Beggar and Becoming a God

Chapter 89: BlacksmithingChapter 89: Blacksmithing

Not long after dawn, Yu Yang woke up and was surprised to find that his legs seemed to have regained some feeling!
He exclaimed, ”How is this possible!”

He pinched the flesh of his thigh with force in disbelief. The flesh on his thigh turned black and blue, but he did not stop his movements because he really felt a trace of pain!
”My leg...really? Is there any hope of healing?”

He cried with joy, but then, a greater sadness swept over him. He had no one to share his joy with. ”If only the warm sun was still there.”

As he spoke, he sat down on the wheelchair with difficulty. He sat in the wheelchair for a while and was stunned. Usually at this time, Nuan Yang would happily run to his side and help him sit in the wheelchair.

”Eh.”

Yu Yang sighed and pushed the wheelchair out of the room. At this time Chen Huaian also came out. The moment he saw Chen Huaian, he understood what was wrong with his legs.

How could his legs get better for no reason? Yu Yang thought of Nuan Yang and understood instantly. He looked at Chen Huaian, but Chen Huaian seemed to know nothing and greeted him normally as usual.

Yu Yang responded to him with a smile, and he felt more and more that Chen Huaian was so mysterious and unfathomable.

”I’ll go make breakfast for you, you take a rest on the side.”

As Chen Huaian spoke, he walked into the kitchen. He knew that it would be impossible for Yu Yang to get over the sadness of losing Nuan Yang in a short period of time.

”Okay, thank you.” Yu Yang thanked Chen Huaian.

Chen Huaian and Miaoyou took care of him most of the night. Thinking of Miaoyou, he suddenly realized something. Miaoyou had not gotten up yet, but usually she would have gotten up at this time.

”Brother Chen, is Miaoyou still asleep? She’s usually up by this time.”

”She’s gone.”

Chen Huaian’s words did not bring much surprise to Yu Yang, and his face did not reveal much expression.

He knew this day would come sooner or later, but he didn’t expect it to come so soon.

After breakfast, Chen Huaian and Yu Yang were busy with their own things. Chen Huaian was collecting maps and asked Lao Niu to study them carefully to avoid getting lost.

Yu Yang had nothing to do, so he locked himself in the room and stayed there quietly.

For the next two days, Chen Huaian treated Yu Yang at night and went out to look up information and buy maps during the day. There were several versions of the map, which made Lao Niu very depressed.

Chen Huaian didn’t want to treat Yu Yang at night, but his meridians were too fragile and needed a long time of cleansing and conditioning. Otherwise, Yu Yang’s meridians would not be able to withstand long-term treatment.

”Okay, next you will slowly recover.”

Chen Huaian said this and left the room. At this time, the sky was just beginning to brighten.

Chen Huaian felt that if he left like this, Yu Yang might not necessarily want to live again. After all, Nuan Yang had dealt him too great a blow. Even if his legs were healed now, he might not necessarily have the courage to live on.

Chen Huaian noticed from the past two days that Yu Yang basically spent all his time in his room except for eating, and sometimes he didn’t even leave the room.

”Maybe, I can show him something different.”

Chen Huaian said this, jumped out of the courtyard and walked towards the lake outside the city.

He came to a willow tree and said, ”This one is just right.”

As he spoke, he turned his hand into a sword and cut the willow wood. He immediately began to groove and polish it... Although he was alone, he worked quite quickly and finished it in a short time.

He followed the same steps and cut a few more willow trees to make the same structure.

”Just do it here. Push Yu Yang over here at night, and call a few more people. That way it will be spectacular.”

Chen Huaian came to a blacksmith shop. When he heard that he wanted molten iron, he was confused and wanted to move out of the city. The blacksmith shop owner said he was not willing to do it, but Chen Huaian offered too much and finally sold it to two hundred coins.

He had a lot of pig iron, so for him, this was a win-win situation, except that it was troublesome to transport it. Of course, the money was paid by Chen Huaian.

In this way, Chen Huaian didn’t have much money left, but he felt it was worth it in exchange for one person’s hope of survival.

After Chen Huaian finished all this, he returned to the courtyard and asked Lao Niu, ”He still hasn’t come out?”

”Moo.” (No.)
”Row.”

After Chen Huaian finished speaking, he turned around and walked towards Yu Yang. He stopped knocking on the door. ”Forget it. It’s not night yet. I’ll take him out at night.”

Chen Huaian thought about it in his mind, then left the yard, while Lao Niu continued to study the map.

”Moo!” (How come there are five versions of this map!)

……

Chen Huaian came to the blacksmith shop. He was preparing pig iron and starting the next step. The owner of the blacksmith shop was a little confused by Chen Huaian’s operation. He really didn’t know what Chen Huaian was going to do.

Chen Huaian smiled mysteriously and said, ”We’ll know tonight.”

Then, Chen Huaian left the blacksmith shop and found a few strong men. Those men didn’t understand what was going on, but they had money to earn, so they followed Chen Huaian.

In their words, ”If you don’t make money, you’re a bastard.”

After finishing everything, Chen Huaian returned to the yard. He walked to the old cow and asked it, ”How is the map research going?”

”Moo.” (Trust me, it’s reassuring.)
”Well, come with me, let’s go to the lake outside the city and watch a show.”

Lao Niu’s expression instantly became panicked. Chen Huaian smiled and said, ”I still believe in you.”

After Chen Huaian said this, Lao Niu also stood up. Chen Huaian came to Yu Yang’s room and pushed open the door.

Yu Yang looked at Chen Huaian who suddenly came in, a little confused. He asked in confusion: ”Brother Chen, what are you doing?”

”Come with me.”

Without waiting for Yu Yang to react, Chen Huaian threw Yu Yang onto the old cow’s back. After throwing Yu Yang on the old cow’s back, Chen Huaian picked up Yu Yang’s wheelchair and ran out of the yard. The old cow carrying Yu Yang followed Chen Huaian.

”Brother Chen, where are you taking me?!” Yu Yang asked loudly.

”You’ll know when you get there.” Chen Huaian didn’t answer him, he kept it a secret.

At this moment, it was already dark. The lake outside the city was full of people. There were also more than a dozen people standing by the lake. The owner of the blacksmith shop was working hard to melt pig iron.

These people were arranged by Chen Huaian. To be precise, it was Chen Huaian who paid for the publicity, saying that there would be a grand performance by the lake tonight.

When they saw Chen Huaian coming, they nodded to him. Chen Huaian couldn’t see it. At this time, Lao Niu called out, meaning that those people nodded to him.

Lao Niu told him the direction, and he nodded in that direction. Then, as their hands moved, in an instant, iron flowers flew everywhere, like falling stars and blooming fireworks.

Golden sparks danced in the night sky, illuminating people’s excited faces and the sparkling lake. Iron flowers fell into the lake, splashing strings of water droplets, reflecting the gorgeous sparks.

”Fire can drive away evil spirits. The name ”iron flower” symbolizes the yearning and longing for a better life,” Chen Huaian explained.

Yu Yang was mesmerized by the sparks. The cheers of the people around him seemed to have nothing to do with him. ”Strike sparks... the yearning and longing for a better life.”

He seemed to see the warm sun in the iron flowers, smiling at him, as if telling him, ”Live well.”

”Brother Chen, did you arrange all this?”

No one answered him. ”Brother Chen?” He called again, with a puzzled tone.

”He’s gone. I was sent by him to take care of you today.” A woman’s voice sounded behind him. She stared blankly at the iron flowers made by those people’s hands and couldn’t help but say, ”It’s so beautiful.”

After hearing this, Yu Yang also murmured softly, ”Yes, it’s so beautiful.” His eyes flickered, and the people around him looked at the iron flowers, some cheered, some were in a trance, and some praised...

Chen Huaian, who was doing all this, at this moment, had his back to the crowd and the iron flowers. The brilliant firelight illuminated the figures of him and Lao Niu. Under the firelight, he blew the Wugui and walked slowly.

Chen Huaian didn’t know that he just helped Yu Yang out of trouble on a whim, but he never thought that it would become a custom here.

……

”Old Cow, let’s go back to the Yuan Dynasty.”

”Moo.”
