Starting as a Blind Beggar and Becoming a God

Chapter 55 2 Senior BrotherChapter 55 Second Brother

Shangguan Yunxi refused decisively, almost the moment Murong Wan’er spoke.

”Why?” Murong Wan’er’s cute face showed confusion, ”You only have two disciples, why not recruit another one?”

“I don’t want to teach.”

”I can teach you!” Murong Wan’er said quickly, ”Besides, he can also play the flute. Wouldn’t it be a pleasure for him to play the flute for you while you drink?”

Shangguan Yunxi pondered for a moment...

”Pull him up.”

……

”This sword formation is so powerful, why can’t those people pass it?”

Chen Huaian was very confused, but if those who failed knew what he was thinking at the moment, they might even want to kill him.

Is this human language?
After Chen Huaian passed the sword formation, he took a step forward, and Lao Niu followed behind him. At this time, fog rose up and enveloped them.

When Chen Huaian emerged from the fog again, two women were standing in front of him, looking him up and down.

The tall one is incredibly beautiful, and the other one is very smart and cute.

”What’s your name?” Murong Wan’er asked with a smile. She raised her head and looked at Chen Huaian. Every move she made made people feel very smart.

”Chen Huaian.” Chen Huaian replied, ”Um, where is my cow?” Chen Huaian asked, he found that the old cow was missing.

”It’s fine. Are you interested in becoming Sister Yunxi’s disciple?” Murong Wan’er asked, her finger pointing at Shangguan Yunxi who was standing aside. Shangguan Yunxi stood aside without saying anything.

”Yunxi? Shangguan Yunxi?!” Chen Huaian roughly guessed the identities of the two women, ”Shangguan Yunxi and Murong Wan’er.”

”No need for test?” Chen Huaian asked. He had never heard of recruiting disciples in this way.

”There is no need for any test to become Sister Yun Xi’s disciple.” Murong Wan’er said with a smile.

Since you can become my disciple, why not?

”Disciple Chen Huaian, hello to Master.” Chen Huaian said respectfully with his hands bowed, but he did not kneel down.

”interesting.”

Shangguan Yunxi said coldly. It was the first time she saw someone not kneeling when becoming a disciple. However, she didn’t care. As long as she could play the music, it was fine.

Chen Huaian would never have thought that Shangguan Yunxi recruited him as a disciple just because he could play the flute.

”Go find Bai Changyin, he is the second senior brother of Shushan, he will arrange accommodation for you.”

As Shangguan Yunxi spoke, he threw a token to Chen Huaian, on which were engraved the words ”Shangguan Yunxi”. He then turned around and left, heading towards the peach blossom forest.

”You must keep it well. This token is very important. It represents that you have become Sister Yunxi’s disciple.” Murong Wan’er said, and then left with Shangguan Yunxi.

”Bai Changyin?” Chen Huaian always felt that the name sounded familiar, but he couldn’t remember where he had heard it.

”Forget it, let’s go find this Second Brother first, and then go find my cow.”

Chen Huaian then strolled around Shushan. He strolled for a long time, enjoying the scenery. At this moment, there were still many disciples who had not passed the test, and he was the only new face here.

However, after walking around, he discovered one thing: Shangguan Yunxi only told him to find Bai Changyin, but did not say where to find him or what he looked like, so it was a bit difficult for Chen Huaian to find him.

Unable to find it, he had to ask a random passerby, and the man in white who was practicing sword on the grass in front of him was undoubtedly the best choice.

The man in white stood on the grass, holding a long sword with a cold glow on the sword.

His eyes were focused, his body was agile, his momentum was like a dragon emerging from the sea, and his sword style was sharp. Every time he swung his sword, there was a gust of wind, and his clothes fluttered. The sword seemed to have life in his hand. As Chen Huaian approached, the man suddenly put away his sword, pointed it at the sky, and said with full energy: ”The heavens are vigorous, and my way is prosperous!”

”Familiar, too familiar!” Chen Huaian was shocked. He felt it was too familiar, but he just couldn’t remember where he had heard it.

”Senior Brother, may I ask where Senior Brother Bai Changyin is?”

When the man heard Chen Huaian’s question, he frowned slightly and said, ”I am Bai Changyin. You are a new disciple? But aren’t new disciples still undergoing assessment?” Bai Changyin asked.

When Chen Huaian heard that the man in front of him was Xu Changyin, he found it a little funny. He didn’t expect that he and the second senior brother from Shushan would meet like this.

”I was specially recruited by my master. My master asked you to arrange a place for me to live.” Chen Huaian said as he handed the token to Bai Changyin.

When Bai Changyin saw the token, his stern face smiled, ”So it’s Third Junior Brother, follow me.”

”Third Junior Brother? There are only three disciples including Shangguan Yunxi and me?”

Chen Huaian was somewhat confused. He didn’t know why Shangguan Yunxi was paying attention to him. ”Is it because I used the flute to break through the sword formation?”

But Chen Huaian quickly denied this speculation. This would definitely not become a point of attention. How could Chen Huaian have thought that the reason why Shangguan Yunxi pulled him up was because he could play the flute.

Bai Changyin brought Chen Huaian to the edge of a peach blossom forest and said, ”Junior brother, you will live here from now on.”

”It must be breathtakingly beautiful here.” Chen Huaian said as he looked at the peach blossom forest. He smelled the faint fragrance of the peach blossoms and guessed that there must be a large area of peach blossoms here.

”It’s beautiful here, with peach blossoms everywhere.” Bai Changyin said.

”Peach blossoms bloom here all year round. After they bear fruit, they bloom again, year after year.”

”How magical.” Chen Huaian exclaimed.

”Of course, these ten miles of peach blossoms are all the work of our master.”

”Master?” Chen Huaian had some understanding of Shangguan Yunxi’s strength. He knew that she was someone he couldn’t afford to offend.

”Junior brother, after today, there will be a competition for new disciples, and you will also have to participate then, so you should prepare well.”

”Okay, Second Brother.”

”I still have things to take care of, so you can just practice here with peace of mind.” Bai Changyin said. He took out a bag from his arms, handed it to Chen Huaian, and returned the token to him.

Chen Huaian knew what was in the bag from the sound it made: it was full of money.

”Thank you, Second Brother.” Chen Huaian bowed to express his gratitude.

”No problem, I have something to do first.”

”Second Senior Brother, walk slowly.”

After Chen Huaian finished speaking, Bai Changyin nodded and left.

”Since the competition is tomorrow, why not go down the mountain and take a look now?”

Chen Huaian was not in a hurry to find Lao Niu. What kind of accident could Lao Niu have in Shushan? And Shangguan Yunxi also said that Lao Niu was fine, so he naturally didn’t need to worry.

Chen Huaian was certain that Shangguan Yunxi had a very high status, otherwise how could he have the right to directly pull him up to guard the tower as a disciple?

Chen Huaian went down the mountain and planned to take Guan Guan to Shushan. But it was not possible today. He had not asked Shangguan Yunxi yet. If she was unwilling, he could only make other plans.

”We can also buy some beef for Lao Niu.” Chen Huaian hung the purse around his waist and went down the mountain.
