Starting as a Blind Beggar and Becoming a God

Chapter 70 Memory RecoveryChapter 70 Memory Recovery
”Good song.” Chu Feng couldn’t help but praise.

”you flatter me.”

”Big brother, you play the flute so beautifully.”

After hearing this, Chen Huaian smiled and said nothing.

Chen Huaian was very curious about a question, but he didn’t ask.

He didn’t see anyone else when he was walking here just now. Although he didn’t leave this area, he still had this question in his mind.

So where did Chu Tian’s mother go?

Although he was curious, he did not ask. This involved other people’s family affairs, and it would be very impolite for him to ask rashly.

Chu Tian chatted briefly with Chen Huaian and then left. He was going to cook.

Chu Tian stayed in the room and talked with Chen Huaian. However, it was basically Chu Tian who asked him questions. However, he had lost his memory and could not answer many of the questions, but this did not affect Chu Tian’s curiosity to ask questions.

They talked for a while, and Chu Feng asked them to go out for dinner. Their meal was very simple, just a few steamed buns and two plates of wild vegetables.

Chen Huaian saw it all. He remembered Chu Feng said that this was the largest family in Juhe County, the Chu family, and their meals were so simple, which only proved that they were not welcome in this family.

”The food is a bit simple, I hope Brother Chen doesn’t mind.” Chu Feng said a little embarrassedly.

”I’m very grateful if you can give me a bite to eat, why would I mind it?” Chen Huaian replied.

”That’s good.”

After the three of them had finished their meal, Chu Tian brought some fresh grass for the old cow, and then he took Chu Feng out. They didn’t come back until the evening, but a woman had returned before them.

Chen Huaian knew without thinking that it was Chu Tian’s mother, because she had the scent of Chu Tian. Chen Huaian had a sharp nose and he knew it as soon as the woman entered this small mansion.

”It seems that the Chu family is not peaceful.”

Chen Huaian was sitting in the yard. The woman just glanced at him without saying anything, then walked straight down into the house.

That was the room opposite Chen Huaian, and the two of them didn’t say a word.

Not long after the woman came back, Chu Feng brought Chu Tian back.

Chu Feng looked at the lit room, shook his head slightly, and didn’t say anything.

Chu Tian was just a child after all. He was very excited as he looked at the lit room.

”Dad, it’s mother who’s back.”

”Okay, I understand.” Chu Feng’s tone was very flat, as if the person who came back was a stranger, not Chu Tian’s mother.

Chen Huaian didn’t understand what happened, but he knew that Chu Feng would never do anything to let Chu Tian’s mother down. So the problem could only be with Chu Tian’s mother.

Chen Huaian did not ask. If Chu Feng wanted to say it, he would come to him and tell him without him asking.

In the following days, Chen Huaihuaian lived in Chu Tian’s mansion. During this period, he also consulted Lao Niu to learn about his situation. He asked himself why he had lost his memory.

Lao Niu said that he had been in a coma for twelve years. The reason he fell into a coma was that he was seriously injured after a fierce battle with six men in black.

Many other things were told to him by the old cow, their first encounter, him defending the city alone, how they often got lost, the village in the yellow sand, and the things about Shushan. The old cow told Chen Huaian everything he knew and remembered, thinking that this would speed up the recovery of Cheng Huaian’s memory.

The fact was just as Lao Niu thought. After he finished telling these things, many fragmentary images emerged in Chen Huaian’s mind.

However, those memories were too scattered and could not be connected together, so Chen Huaian didn’t remember much.

But Chen Huaian was not in a hurry, because he found that playing the melody in his mind with the flute helped to restore his memory.

He believed that given enough time, his memory would be fully restored.

In the days that followed, as spring turned to autumn and Chen Huaian would play music whenever he had time, and would also help Chu Feng with things within his ability, but Chu Feng didn’t want him to help because he was a blind man.

It’s not that Chu Feng has prejudice in his heart, but he thinks that Chen Huaian is a blind man and it is inconvenient for him to do things.

Chen Huaian sometimes shook his head helplessly. Since Chu Feng refused to help, he just watched from the side.

This kind of life lasted for three years.

He learned a lot and a lot happened during these three years.

Among them, what surprised Chen Huaian the most was Chu Tian’s mother. Chu Tian’s mother was originally a prostitute named Jiang Hui. Chu Feng fell in love with her at first sight. Despite his family’s objection, he finally married her home after going through untold hardships.

However, Chu Tian’s mother did not like Chu Feng. In the sixth year of their marriage, she often went out. Chen Guoen didn’t know where she went, but Chu Feng knew, but he didn’t say it.

The Chu family is a martial arts family. Chu Feng’s talent was the best among the younger generation of the Chu family at that time. He had the hope of inheriting the legacy of the Chu family’s ancestor, but because of this incident, he completely lost this opportunity, and the family no longer valued him.

Later, Chu Feng seemed to give up practicing martial arts and started reading, which is why his room is full of books.

During these three years, Chu Tian gradually grew up, but his relationship with his father Chu Feng became more and more distant.

Because his father always tried to please others and looked very weak.

It is inevitable for a growing boy to be arrogant. He cannot bear to see his father being weak and he hates it. He is practicing martial arts but his talent is not as strong as his father’s. He has been practicing hard but has never been able to attract the attention of his family.

So much so that later on, the father and son had less and less common language, until finally, they even stopped speaking.

Chu Tian would occasionally talk to Chen Huaian about his inner thoughts, and Chen Huaian would always be a quiet listener.

He remained silent, because he knew that Chu Tian would leave after expressing his inner thoughts. He understood that a father would not show such a weak attitude unless he had some compelling reasons, at least not in front of his son.

It was winter again this year. Chen Huaian was playing in the yard while heavy snow was falling from the sky. But this did not affect him because he did not feel cold.

After he finished playing the flute, a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth. When the old cow saw that smile, its eyes suddenly turned slightly red. It knew that Chen Huaian was back.

”Old Cow, thank you for your hard work over the past fifteen years.”

”Moo~” (I want to eat beef.)
”Okay, I will satisfy you someday.” Chen Huaian said with a smile.

His memory has been restored, so it’s time for the Chu family to leave.

He planned to talk to Chu Feng tonight and then find a suitable opportunity to leave.

He had already wasted twelve years and had spent another three years in Iai County. He had more important things to do and couldn’t stay here any longer.
