Starting as a Blind Beggar and Becoming a God

Chapter 69 Chen Huaian Lost His MemoryChapter 69 Chen Huaian Lost His Memory

”Where is this place?” Chen Huaian sat up from the bed, covering his head in pain, ”Who am I?”

His mind was blank, as if twelve years of sleep had caused him to lose his memory.

[Ding——Host awakens, current healing rate of epileptic fit is 6%. ]

”Who! What’s that sound!” Chen Huaian was shocked, not knowing where this sudden sound came from.

He was alert for a long time, but the voice did not appear again. ”Is it an auditory hallucination?”

Chen Huaian got off the bed. He felt very strange. He was obviously a blind man who could only see within a range of half a meter, but he walked like one.

He groped around the room and found a flute and a cane. Although he had no memory of them, his intuition told him that these two things were very important to him.

”Why do I have this feeling?” Chen Huaian asked himself.

He picked up the cane and the flute, and the moment his hand touched the flute, a melody came to his memory and he felt very familiar with it, like it was a part of his life.

“Is this my memory?”

Chen Huaian started to play according to the melody, which was the melody of Wugui. The moment he blew it, he felt a pain like a needle pricking his brain. The intense pain made him stop playing the music immediately. He lay on the ground, gasping for breath.

After a while, he finally came to his senses. He looked at the flute in his hand, pondered for a while, and then walked out the door with his crutches.

He opened the door and felt the warmth of the sun shining on him.

It was snowing now, but he didn’t feel cold.

Chen Huaian was walking around here. Not far away was a study. Chen Huaian smelled the unique paper fragrance of books, which was very strong. It can be seen that the owner of this house loves reading.

Chen Huaian did not enter the study. He thought it was very impolite to enter without the permission of the owner of the study.

Chen Huaian stepped on the snow, making crisp crunching sounds.

He looked around and found a locust tree, but there seemed to be nothing else here.

He didn’t know how far he had walked, but he had a general idea of the situation here. He discovered that apart from the study and a locust tree, the rest of the environment was extremely bad, and even the food was a little moldy.

”You love books as much as your life.” Chen Huaian commented. Just as Chen Huaian was about to continue walking around, he heard a cow mooing outside the door;
”Moo.” (Chen Huaian, you’re awake!)

Lao Niu unloaded the cart full of firewood and ran towards Chen Huaian.

”A cow is talking?” Chen Huaian was puzzled, but then, he felt a sharp pain in his brain again, and some fragmented memories appeared in his mind.

”Do I know this cow?” The image of a cow kept flashing through his mind, but he just couldn’t remember more memories.

”Dad, that man seems to be in pain.” Chu Tian looked at Chen Huaian and said.

”Let’s go over and take a look.” Chu Feng said.

”Moo.” (Chen Huaian, how do you feel now?) The old cow ran to Chen Huaian and said excitedly.

”My name is Chen Huaian?” Chen Huaian’s words hit it like a blow.

”Moo?” (You lost your memory?)
”I really have no memory.” Chen Huaian replied, and at this time, the father and son of the Chu family also came to Chen Huaian and Lao Niu.

”How do you feel now?” Chu Feng looked at Chen Huaian and asked with concern.

”It’s okay, but I’ve lost my memory.” Chen Huaian said. His behavior revealed a kind of humility, which made Chu Feng immediately like him more.

”No memory? You really can’t remember anything at all?”

Chen Huaian shook his head. There were only some fragmentary images in his mind, which were almost equivalent to nothing.

”Then forget it for now. You have already stayed here with me for three months. You can stay here and recover slowly.” ”Thank you very much.” Chen Huaian replied.

Chu Feng smiled and said, ”You’re welcome. Your Hei Niu will help me with things for the next three months, so we don’t owe anyone anything.”

”My black cow?” Chen Huaian looked at the old cow, and some scattered images flooded into his mind again. This time he did not feel pain, but really recalled some memories.

”Your name is, Old Cow?”

”Moo!” (Yes!)

After hearing what Chen Huaian said, Chu Feng and Chu Tian realized that the big black cow was called Lao Niu, but they also admired Chen Huaian’s ability to name.

”What’s your name?” Chu Feng asked.

Chen Huaian pondered for a while. Just now he heard the black bull call him Chen Huaian, so he said, ”My name is Chen Huaian.”

”Huaian, Huaian, what a nice name.” Chu Feng said, let’s go, let’s go into the house.

”it is good.”

Chen Huaian, Chu Feng, and Chu Tian entered the house, while the old cow was in the shed outside. It was too big, and entering the house would make the already small house even more crowded.

”Where is this place?” Chen Huaian asked after entering the house.

”This is Juai County in the Yuntian Dynasty. We are now in the Chu family, the largest family in Juai County.” Chu Feng responded.

”Yuntian Dynasty?” These four words seemed to have touched Chen Huaian’s nerves. His brain felt a sharp pain again. He frowned in pain, as if some very important memory had been forgotten.

”What’s wrong with you?” Chu Feng asked when he saw his painful look.

”It’s okay. I just feel like some of my lost memories are about to come back, but I just can’t remember them.”

”I see. Losing your memory is indeed a painful thing. You should stay here for now. I can still provide meals for one more person.”

”Sorry for bothering you so much.” Chen Huaian said with a fist salute.

He was holding his flute while clasping his fists. Seeing this, Chu Feng asked, ”Is this flute important to you, Brother Chen? I saw you have been holding it since you woke up.”

Chen Huaian shook his head and replied, ”I don’t know either, but when I picked it up, a melody came into my mind. I think it must be very important to me.”

”I guess Brother Chen must have been a refined and thoughtful person before he lost his memory.”

”you flatter me.”

”Big brother, can you play the flute? Can you play it for me?” Chu Ping said curiously, blinking his eyes.

”Nonsense!” Chu Feng shouted to stop them.

Chen Huaian waved his hand and said, ”It’s okay. I’ll play a song to add a little warmth to this cold winter day.”

As Chen Huaian spoke, he put the flute to his lips. The melody of ”Wu Gui” came out from the flute. The old cow outside the house heard the familiar melody and almost couldn’t help crying.

It hadn’t heard this familiar melody for twelve years, and it missed it so much that as soon as it heard this familiar melody, it wanted to rush into the room and ask Chen Huaian if he had recovered his memory.

But it held back. It believed that Chen Huaian would come out to find it after he recovered his memory, but he didn’t come now, so Chen Huaian had not recovered his memory yet.

After a while, when the song ended, some fragmented images appeared in Chen Huaian’s mind again, but this time there was no severe pain in his brain.

”It seems that playing this melody will help me recover my memory.” Chen Huaian said in his heart.
