The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2177: Fulfilling the role of a Master

”Rise.”

Cain’s voice was soft and calm, gentle yet carrying an authority that could still the hearts of gods. It was a tone that dissolved fear and filled the soul with quiet strength.

Kober obeyed, rising to his feet. The tension that had coiled in his chest began to ease. Though he maintained a respectful posture, the sight of his master no longer paralyzed him. The Scarlet King’s presence carried both gravity and peace, a paradox that only deepened Kober’s awe.

Cain approached without another word. Behind him, a vortex of light unfolded, a myriad of treasures, relics, and resources materializing in the air. In the next instant, all of it ignited, fusing into a single stream of plasma that poured into Cain’s hand. He extended his fingers and touched Kober’s forehead.

A wave of psychic and cosmic energy erupted, guiding those streams of plasma deep into Kober’s body, past flesh and bone, reaching down to the very blueprint of his existence. Under the power of the Scarlet King, his genome began to change.

Agony struck him like lightning, yet even through the pain, he could feel it: his essence was being rewritten into something greater. His bloodline evolved, his talent expanded, and even the purity of his soul ascended beyond what it once was. Every part of him, save for his will, was being reforged into perfection.

This was no act of whimsy. Cain’s every motion was deliberate. Drawing on his mastery as an ArchDeity-tier Genetic Coder and the knowledge he had wrested from the Ouroboros Cult, he meticulously sculpted Kober’s genome, granting him an extremely powerful bloodline that would fit perfectly with what he had in mind for the man.

The process lasted for hours, consuming wealth and energy enough to make even a Prima Deity tremble with envy. When it finally ended, Kober was transformed. His once-dark hair now gleamed like molten gold. His body stood taller, his strength radiating through every breath. The channels of energy within him widened, thickened, pulsing with divine rhythm.

Most striking of all were his eyes, one shining with light, the other shimmering in shadow.

The Scarlet Leviathan within his Soul Dimension had already evolved his body, greatly improving his talent and potential, but this transformation elevated the man to an entirely new level.

Then came the next step. A flame of forty colors appeared, roaring with transcendent energy before engulfing Kober entirely. The ArchDeity-tier Tribulation Enhancement had begun.

Kober’s instincts drove him to circulate his energy, but the torrent of world essence was simply too vast. He was not even a Prima Deity yet; such forces should have obliterated him.

But Cain stood at his side.

He absorbed the chaos, redirecting the cosmic current with his will, guiding it through Kober’s flesh and energy channels with the precision of a craftsman shaping glass. Under his hand, what should have been annihilation became enlightenment.

By the time the tribulation subsided, night had fallen. Kober’s power had soared, his potential now rivaling ancient legends.

And then came the second trial.

A new multicolored flame descended, this one sinking into his consciousness, reaching into the heart of his Alter-Ego. It was the Spiritual Tribulation Enhancement, a refinement of soul and thought, far more delicate and perilous.

Kober’s breath trembled. Yet Cain’s mind, honed through the Ego Eternal Path of Power, guided the process with flawless mastery.

As the divine current reached the deepest part of Kober’s being, a roar echoed through his Soul Dimension.

”ROAR!”

The evolution of the Alter Ego improved the might of the Scarlet Leviathan, allowing it to finally evolve into the next stage.

The Scarlet Throne manifested in the sky, and the great beast ascended it, its body bursting into starlight before condensing into a radiant Scarlet Star. It anchored itself there, ruling over a portion of the dimension’s spirit and psychic might.

The enhanced talent and potential of his Alter-Ego and the infusion of an ocean of psychic power, along with a sense of peace and tranquility, were all that Kober needed to take the next step. His Ego Eternal Path of Power advanced, reaching the sacred realm of Mind and Body as One.

Cain watched in silence, a faint smile crossing his lips. The power surging through his disciple was genuine, refined, stable, and earned. Even for the Scarlet King, the ordeal had been taxing, so while Kober evolved, he took the time to rest.

When Kober’s eyes opened, he was no longer the same man. His aura was vast yet serene. The chains that had bound his growth were gone, replaced by limitless potential. He bowed deeply, voice trembling with gratitude.

”Thank you for this immeasurable gift, Master.”

Cain smiled and gestured. A weapon flew into his hand, a sword born from both light and shadow, shimmering like a reflection of dual creation. It was the treasure he had drawn from the Samsara Arsenal Module, and its essence aligned perfectly with Kober’s reborn bloodline.

Kober accepted it reverently. Even a touch told him it was alive, bound to grow as he grew. Yet he frowned slightly; he had never truly mastered the Star Powers of Light and Shadow. Of course, he was ready to learn from zero if necessary.

But that was not the case as a surge of psychic power rippled through the Scarlet Throne, descending upon Kober’s Scarlet Star. His eyes widened as a storm of memories and insights flooded his mind—the stolen knowledge of wicked cultivators whose souls were sealed within the Throne. Their mastery of Light and Shadow now belonged to him.

When the flood subsided, Kober stood silent, overwhelmed. Everything he needed to walk this path lay before him. All that remained was patience, discipline, and the will to honor his master’s faith.

Cain nodded, seeing the determination blazing within the young man’s gaze.

”Let’s walk.”

Kober’s expression brightened with unrestrained devotion.

For the next two weeks, master and disciple traversed the breadth of the Everstrife Empyrean World. Cain guided him through phenomena both cosmic and spiritual, teaching him to balance the duality within his soul. They sparred amid storms, meditated under suns, and discussed the subtle laws that bind will to reality.

Those fourteen days were more than lessons; they were a lifetime of enlightenment condensed into moments.
