The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2173: The power of the world

All good things must come to an end.

After three long months of peace and precious family time, Cain once again found himself standing beneath the weight of leadership. The joy of rest was gone, replaced by the familiar burden of responsibility.

After bidding farewell to his wives and children, Cain appeared within one of the grand council chambers of the Scarlet Crown. The room was vast, its marble walls inscribed with ancient runes and glowing veins of scarlet energy.

With him stood six individuals, each radiating calm confidence. They were all Prima Deities, yet what set them apart was not raw power, but intellect and discipline.

They were the Six Chief Counselors, the minds that kept the Scarlet Kingdom running like a divine machine. Their strength in battle might not be impressive, but across the Everstrife Empyrean World, even ArchDeities paid heed to their words. Each spoke with the delegated authority of the Scarlet King himself, and that alone made their presence sacred.

Cain’s golden eyes swept over them, his expression composed yet warm. ”You have all done well,” he said, his voice calm but resonant.

The counselors bowed deeply, pride shining in their eyes. Earning the approval of the Scarlet King was an honor greater than ascension itself.

Two of them stepped forward. The first, Minxet, a lean man with sharp features and eyes that gleamed like molten gold, began to speak.

”My lord,” he said, his tone respectful but brimming with restrained excitement, ”during your slumber, the Scarlet Kingdom’s military might has increased considerably. The number of Prima Deities has risen by 417%. Many of them have successfully advanced in the Ego Eternal Path of Power, and in either their Astral Rebirth or Essence Evolution Paths.”

Minxet smiled broadly. ”Thanks to the treasures and cultivation techniques you granted us, breakthroughs have become more frequent. Our armies now possess greater synergy and cohesion. Several units have even mastered the formation of Runic War Avatars, capable of matching the offensive strength of entire Omega Lord-tier factions.”

Cain’s expression brightened slightly. ”Impressive.”

”And that is not all, my King,” Minxet continued, his eyes glowing with pride. ”Three individuals, the Sky Sovereign, Lord Alucard, and Lord Pation, have ascended to the rank of ArchDeity. The first achieved it through the Ego Eternal Path, and the latter two through the Astral Rebirth Path.”

Cain’s smile widened. The multiplication of Prima Deities was a monumental achievement on its own, but the rise of three new ArchDeities was beyond remarkable. Ascension at that level was hundreds of times more difficult; it required not just power, but evolution of soul and destiny.

He felt a flicker of pride for the Sky Sovereign in particular. The two had shared a long history as comrades and friends.

”I suppose,” Cain murmured, half to himself, ”that killing Juda and achieving his revenge finally brought his soul the clarity it needed. Vengeance may not purify the soul, but it can certainly sharpen it.”

Regardless of the reason, he was pleased. The Sky Sovereign’s transcendence gave him yet another formidable general, and an ally who had earned it through pain and perseverance.

Minxet continued his report, delving into matters of logistics, resources, and troop deployment. His analysis was exhaustive, so detailed that Cain, for a moment, felt tempted to let his mind wander. Still, he kept his focus. Leadership, after all, was not about grandeur, but attention to the small things. Countless small improvements, compounded over time, could birth miracles.

When Minxet finally concluded his presentation, he bowed deeply and stepped back. The next to speak was Razputin, whose voice carried both calm intellect and fervor.

”The harmony between the Light and Dark Races has improved greatly, my King,” he began. ”The teachings of the Scarlet Path continue to erode the divisions that have separated them for countless eras. Prejudice is fading, and the bonds of shared destiny are strengthening.”

A subtle, satisfied hum escaped Cain’s throat. ”Continue.”

Razputin smiled. ”We are seeing results beyond expectation. The number of hybrids being born between Light and Dark lineages has increased exponentially. At present, they make up 1.4% of the world’s total population.”

The other counselors murmured in approval.

Cain raised an eyebrow, impressed. ”That is higher than I anticipated.”

Indeed, 1.4% might sound small in isolation, but within the context of an Empyrean World containing trillions, it represented hundreds of millions of lives.

Three decades ago, such unions would have been unthinkable. A child born of both races would have been marked for death, their family branded in shame. Yet now, they lived openly, in the light of day.

It was proof that the world was changing. Proof that the Scarlet Path was not merely an ideology, but an evolution of the mind and heart.

The reports continued for days, on political stability, economic growth, the expansion of trade routes to the outer continents, and the rise of new academies and organizations. Each counselor presented with precision and respect, while Cain asked sharp questions and offered quiet guidance.

By the seventh day, the final report concluded. The Six Chief Counselors bowed deeply, pledging once more their loyalty before withdrawing from the chamber.

When the great doors closed, silence returned.

Cain exhaled slowly, the sound almost like a sigh. ”That felt like another war,” he murmured with faint amusement.

But deep within his eyes, purpose glimmered. Now that he fully understood the extent of his world’s progress, he could sense the next step forming within his mind, the path toward a destiny greater than even the Everstrife Empyrean World itself.

The question was no longer if they could achieve it. It was how.

Cain turned, his gaze distant. In the next instant, his body dissolved into crimson light, vanishing from the chamber.

He reappeared far away, on a desolate snowfield beneath a quiet, sunny sky.

In the center of the field sat a man with eight arms and three faces, eyes closed in deep meditation. Around him, small creatures moved without fear, drawn to the calm that radiated from him.

He seemed less a being and more a part of the world itself, as still and natural as stone or tree.
