Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 116: Chapter 116 Spatial Harvest

Through Geng Erhong, her personal grapevine, Yunyi had learned everything that had happened lately at the Zhiqing Point. She understood it all very clearly.

She felt fortunate that there hadn’t been enough space for her on the kang bed, allowing her to keep her distance from that place of disputes and trouble.

Geng Erhong helped Yunyi chop the vegetables and said, ”Put simply, that Zhiqing Point is like a large stage where one person’s show ends just as another’s begins. I’d love to move out too, but unfortunately, I don’t have the means. It’s really frustrating.”

Yunyi had no response to that, so she pretended not to understand.

Geng Erhong naturally had her own ulterior motives when she spoke; she was merely testing the waters. Seeing that Yunyi didn’t respond, she dared not say more.

After dinner, the two chatted for a while longer before Yunyi saw Geng Erhong out.

But as she watched Geng Erhong walk away and was about to turn back to the courtyard, she caught a glimpse of a figure darting past in the distance, heading south.

She couldn’t help but look in that direction a few more times. The figure, coming from the direction of the Zhiqing Point, seemed familiar, but she couldn’t immediately recall who it was.

Watching the figure disappear, she thoughtfully retracted her gaze and turned back into the yard.

After closing the courtyard gate, she glanced at the neighboring yard, noticing that Liu Cheng’s place was still dark and unlit.

This man, injured as he was, still couldn’t keep still.

Shaking her head, she entered the house, closed the door, drew the curtains, and then went into the ’space.’

She had harvested a good amount of shepherd’s purse in the space over the past few days. Today, she saw it had grown lush and green. She planned to make herself a meal of shepherd’s purse and meat dumplings once the seventh day of the first lunar month had passed.

As more and more plants were cultivated in the space, even the air seemed to have become fresher. Or perhaps it was just her imagination.

Either way, it felt thoroughly refreshing.

Today, she entered with a mission in mind. She went to the Stone House kitchen, grabbed a big basin, then fully equipped herself for honey harvesting.

She lit the old honeycomb she had found in the mountains, which lured the bees out, and soon the queen bee emerged as well.

She scooped up the large honeycombs in one go.

With the queen bee present, they would soon continue their tireless comb building.

During this period, she had transplanted some nectar-producing plants into the space, but with limited cultivation conditions, she couldn’t plant a large area with a single species. The honey she’d harvest in the future would likely be a mixed type.

Getting monofloral honey would be quite difficult, considering the limited variety and quantity of nectar-producing plants currently in the space.

However, the honey in these honeycombs was exclusively from basswood flowers. It was the Basswood Tree’s flowering season when she moved them into the space, so it was all snow honey.

After a good half-day of work, she finally filtered a small basin of creamy-white snow honey, filling the house with the faint aroma of basswood flower honey.

After tidying up, she made herself a small bowl of honey water. It wasn’t overly sweet and had a mild taste, which she enjoyed a lot.

With a small bowl of honey water in her stomach, she started her usual training. Fortunately, the space was large enough for her to carry out her training.

Two hours later, she took some fresh clothes and headed to the hot spring pool for a bath.

As she casually scrubbed herself, she pondered the next day’s trip up the mountain. Besides gathering herbs, she naturally wanted to bring as many species into the space as possible.

After all, the principle behind her space cultivation was not to focus on quantity but on variety.

Enough for her own consumption was all she needed.

After freshening up, she went directly to the study, feeling an unusual inspiration to paint tonight.

But just as she laid out the paper and was about to start painting, she heard a disturbance outside the space.

Without wasting any time, she quickly left the space and groped her way to the window in the dark to peer outside.
