Chapter 475: A Happy Peaceful Day. Part-1 (Rio x Lia)

Capital City Astra, outside a famous aquarium.

’The weather is really good today... it’s a good thing it not raining or anything...’

Sitting under the shade of a tree on a bench, Rio leaned his back against the bench, and a relaxed look appeared on his face as he enjoyed the warm breeze hitting his face.

His dark black hair swayed along with the gentle breeze, and he was wearing fashionable clothes today; Rio looked handsome.

The only flaw was that he was wearing a black mask, which was covering the lower portion of his face.

It’s not that Rio likes to cover his face or anything; it’s just that he has been forced to cover his face nowadays.

’Being popular also comes with great trouble...’

Rio had severely underestimated the power of ’hope’; the media used his face as a pillar of hope amidst all the depressing news, and this caused him to become famous all over the nation.

Even old people and small children know of his name nowadays.

’It’s already been more than half a month since I woke up and the media is still going over and over about the same topic...’

Rio can only shake his head in helplessness about this matter, as he is powerless to do anything.

If it were any other reason, Rio would have asked Raji to stop the media from making use of his identity to spread propaganda, but he can’t do it right now, as people do need some form of support right now.

Just when Rio was busy relaxing in a lazy manner, he noticed kids playing with each other while coming out of the aquarium.

”Stop, Evil Demon! I am the ’Rising Dark Star!’ Come and fight me! I will not let you do evil things!”

One kid was holding a toy sword in his tiny hand while running and chasing another kid who was wearing a demon-horn-like accessory on his head.

”I am the great ’Hero of Dawn.’ Take this! ’Sword Intent: Demon Slaying Sword!’...”

The kid wearing the demon horn accessory crossed his hands and placed them around his chest, speaking with a smile on his face.

”I will not be defeated by you ’Hero’!!.. ’Demon Barrier!’...”

The two of them were laughing and giggling as their mother walked behind them with a gentle smile on her face.

Seeing the two of them imitate Rio and Alverto and play around happily like that, Rio couldn’t help but feel a bit happy.

”They even know about my ’sword intent’... these brats must have been watching tv all day long...”

Rio shook his head, but he was indeed happy inside.

”Well, it seems that those news channels really managed to bring peace to the nation even though they did it using weird methods...”

A nation where children can play around happily without worrying about their future is definitely something that everyone would want.

Now that nearly a month has passed since the ’Chronos Incident’ and the government has made many efforts, the ordinary citizens have finally come out of their fear and panic-stricken state.

’Still this aquarium is one of the most famous places in the capital city, yet it’s so empty today... I guess it will take time for people to go back to normal life...’

’If not of the ’incident,’ this place would have been packed with people to the brim...’

The main reason why Rio even came here today was also because the place is empty, as fewer people are visiting it these days.

Lia wanted to come here for a long time but couldn’t get the chance to, as the two of them were busy with various things for a long time.

Taking advantage of the fact that the place is mostly empty these days, the two of them agreed to go on a date here today.

’But seriously, was it really necessary for her to tell me to go first and wait for her to come after getter ready...’

Rio was staying in the Silver Mansion for a while and then went back to the academy after the dorms opened again.

Lia also did the same, but today she went to her home and told Rio that she will come late.

’I guess this is my punishment for making her worry about me for a whole week as I stayed unconscious...’

Although Lia was making him wait, Rio wasn’t upset even in the slightest.

He was in fact enjoying this moment as he was relaxing in a lazy manner.

’Come to think of it, the first time I went on a date with Lia and proposed to her, I was waiting for to arrive just like this...’

The day when Rio and Lia became a couple is still vivid in Rio’s memories, and he himself sometimes feels that he was quite bold that day; he spoke out his feelings in such a bold manner that it was surprising.

Thinking about that day, it makes Rio smile even now.

’Even back then, I was teasing Lia like a bad guy... I am glad that she still accepted my feelings, though...’

’It’s already been three years since I came to this world huh...’

Even now, Rio sometimes feels that this place is a dream and he might wake up from this dream and would have to go back to his boring life again.

If it was before, he could have gone back to his boring days of living like a walking corpse with no thoughts or goals.

But now that he has Lia and friends who care about him, he can’t go back to that long-gone past.

’Lia... you really changed my life by entering my mind...’

’Love... it’s really a powerful emotion; it can change a person into something completely different...’

Even Link went from being a sadistic bast*rd to a sunny and good-natured person just because of love, so it’s obvious that even Rio’s personality has also changed a lot since the beginning.

’If it was the me from the days when I just came to this world, I could have easily accepted my fading emotions...’

’I could have already reached ’Perfect Sword Intent’... but I have changed too, I guess...’

Rio is not sad that he hasn’t been able to perfect his sword intent; in fact, now he has something even more important than perfecting his sword intent.

’If only for a little longer... I don’t want to let of this fading emotion...’

Rio has acquired the ’backup plan’ to restore his emotions by helping the original Rio’s lingering sea of consciousness to achieve peace.

But he can use that method right now, as he hasn’t resolved the core problem as of yet.

Just when Rio was about to start getting depressed again, a luxurious car stopped nearby, and a beautiful girl graced the world with her presence.

Her golden hair shone brightly in the sunlight, making her look like an angel; her beautiful dress added even more charm to her already beautiful face, and her shining golden eyes made the mood brighten by just her glance.

Rio glanced at her, and her eyes met with Rio’s almost at the same time, causing his heart to skip a beat.

’Really now... I have been with her for nearly three years and I still get taken aback by how beautiful she is...’

Lia came over after noticing Rio as the luxurious car left right after dropping her off at the place.

A bright smile appeared on her face as she spoke in a sweet voice.

”Sorry to keep you waiting, but I am glad that I took my time... it was worth it to take so much time to get ready just so I could see that shocked expression on your face...”

Lia giggled mischievously as if she had won against Rio in a teasing competition.

She was really happy that she put in all that effort to make Rio’s expression change.

”Yeah, you look so good that it’s hard to describe in words... I almost mistook you for an angel descending from heavens...”

”You really have gotten better. I used to tease you all the time; now you have grown to a point that you are teasing me instead...”

Hearing Rio’s words, Lia puffed out her chest proudly and said,

”Of course! I asked Mel for advice! With her help, even a troublesome foe like the ’Rising Dark Star’ can be defeated, you know!”

Rio couldn’t help but shake his head in defeat.

”Come on, you don’t have to use that cringe name too; the entire nation is already using it...”

Lia giggled at Rio response and grabbed his arm as she leaned her entire body against him.

She clung to Rio like a koala hugging a tree branch, making Rio feel the lethal damage from those big tactical weapons.

”We rarely get the chance to enjoy alone like this due to being busy all the time...”

”The final exams and graduation is also about to make us busy soon; only right now can we be so carefree and relax for a while...”

”And so, let’s start this long-awaited date with a happy smile on our faces!”

Lia was really excited today, and even Rio was infected by her happy mood; the two of them clung to each other as they entered the aquarium together.

Even though sad incidents occurred and friends lost their lives during these dark times, it’s not ideal for anyone to constantly be in a depressed mood.

Time has passed, and the world has started to recover once again.

Rio and Lia also managed to get back to their normal days again, and their long struggle finally blessed them with a peaceful, happy day.
