Beast Taming: the More the Better

Chapter 187: Chapter 134 The Last Glimmer of Light! The Mutated Wanmu Wolf!_3

However, the Biyun Baboon was clearly hit hard. A bright light flashed before it, blinding it completely. Erzhuang, ignoring the other Pet Beasts, charged straight forward, its sharp claws landing directly on the Biyun Baboon’s body.

Its claws pierced several bloody holes. Then, with a final surge of Energy, entwining branches formed Wood Spikes and thorny vines, shooting straight for the Biyun Baboon’s Beast Tamer!

[Tree Ape Troop member: Cheng Yuan, you have been eliminated. Current Tree Ape Troop Points: 72. Please immediately restrain your Pet Beast and wait on site or withdraw from the battlefield!]

At this final moment, another Beast Tamer was eliminated?

With the Tree Ape Troop’s leader’s face turning even darker, everyone else’s expression became priceless.

”Damn it, how many more tricks does this Forest Wolf’s Evolutionary Body have up its sleeve? Another Skill has popped up; what is this Skill now?”

”Blinding? Creating a bright light to blind the enemy to some extent.”

”What? Isn’t this Skill unique to special Attribute Light Series Pet Beasts? How come Nature Type ones have it?”

”Who knows? If someone had told you before that the Forest Wolf Troop could win the championship in the tournament, would you have believed it?”

”True, damn, that Breeder kid is a freak.”

”Luckily, it’s finally over.”

Even if they could ultimately eliminate that Biyun Baboon, the final outcome would still remain unchanged. And that was indeed the case.

Sun Xiao managed to evade the Pet Beasts’ attack trajectories with several quick dodges. However, it was obvious that Erzhuang, having fought strenuously to protect its master, was now covered in wounds.

Even on its chest, there were wounds deep enough to expose bone.

It was over! Even Sun Xiao thought so.

Because not only was Erzhuang exhausted, but he, too, had no strength left to dodge. Although a Beast Tamer’s physical strength was much greater than that of an ordinary person, they did not rely on this for their livelihood. Not to mention Erzhuang’s current state.

However, this time Sun Xiao did not attempt to activate his Life-Signs Watch preemptively.

If Erzhuang wished to die standing, then so be it; let the opponent’s attack decide!

And so, Sun Xiao went directly to the side of Erzhuang, who was panting heavily. He gently rubbed its eyelids, which were so heavy they seemed to fight to stay open, as Erzhuang continuously let out whimpering sounds.

Then, facing the surging dark tide from the Netherworld Demon Tiger, Sun Xiao closed his eyes.

However, after waiting a full three seconds, the voice from the Life-Signs Watch announcing elimination, which Sun Xiao had been expecting, never came.

He opened his eyes in astonishment, only to freeze slightly in surprise.

Erzhuang’s body was standing in front of him.

Obviously, such a competition would not involve life and death; his own Pet Beast understood this clearly. So, the kind of touching scene often witnessed on real battlefields—a pet beast senselessly blocking a fatal blow for its master—would never occur in a competition like this.

So, what did this mean?

What was happening?

Not only Sun Xiao but also Mo He and the other team members were dumbfounded. Everyone watching the scene unfold on the live broadcast was equally shocked.

Was it really necessary?

It’s just a competition, not a fight to the death; was such a gesture necessary?

Besides, even if it blocked one attack, the final outcome wouldn’t change, right?

Even Su Ping blinked. Subconsciously, he felt a bit anxious.

Damn it, could there have been a problem with his training and Cultivation before?

Had he not trained Erzhuang properly, causing it to become rigid and wooden-headed at this moment?

If so, it was possible that Erzhuang had failed to grasp reality, its mind becoming dull.

The question was, the other Wanmu Wolves didn’t have this issue, and they all trained together. Could it be that Erzhuang had done fewer math problems or skimped on its training?

Su Ping’s heart drummed with unease.

However, the next moment brought a sudden turn!

On the huge live broadcast screen, the Wanmu Wolf standing before Sun Xiao slowly began to emit a glow. It started from the Y-shaped antlers on its head; they lit up as if electrified, resembling two incandescent columns of light!

In the next moment, to everyone’s utter astonishment, it seemed as if a ray of sunshine had pierced through the dark clouds—which weren’t actually all that thick—in the overcast Sky Dome, shining down upon Erzhuang.

In this dim world, from this seemingly insignificant little wolf, a final, faint glimmer of light seemed to bloom.

Su Ping seemed to suddenly realize something, his eyes widening. Incredulously, he stared at the scene unfolding on the screen.
