Beast Taming: the More the Better

Chapter 171: Chapter 129: The Competition Begins! The First Enemy of the Forest Wolf Troop! _2

The latter sounded quite reliable. After all, if the whole team survived for more than two Xiaoshi, each person would automatically earn one point, meaning five points for the five of them.

Eliminating an entire enemy team would also only yield a mere seven points.

If they were unlucky and one escaped, that was just one point per kill.

However, precisely to address this kind of thinking, the shrinking of the poison circle was designed to make later battles increasingly intense.

If there were more enemy teams in the final circle, the chaotic battle would introduce too many uncertainties.

Therefore, deciding whether to strike first and hunt down other enemy teams, or to simply hold back and wait for the final showdown in the closing circle, was a test of a team’s decision-making.

Su Ping was also contemplating. In a situation like this, what should I do? Given the Wanmu Wolf’s Traits, my first instinct is actually to just hold back! The Wanmu Wolf’s forte is undoubtedly positional warfare. Its ability to create forests can greatly reduce the cost of lying in wait. Although its strength lies in creating forests anytime, anywhere with Skills like Tree Prison and Nature’s Tongue, that still requires time, and if I do that, it’s too easy to attract the attention of others. Besides, there’s one more crucial external factor.

Finally, the massive black screen above slowly lit up.

Even in broad daylight, those black screens were crystal clear.

Su Ping quickly located the Forest Wolf Troop’s position.

Upon first glance, Su Ping let out a slight sigh of relief.

Clearly, not all teams could have entered the battlefield through the same entrance.

All positions were random.

Almost all participating teams summoned their Pet Beasts immediately.

The Forest Wolf Troop was no exception.

Instantly, a wave of exclamations erupted across the plaza.

Pet Beast Cultivation was the theme of this competition.

This was evident from the Pet Beasts summoned by all the teams.

Instantly, Su Ping could hear a burst of whispers.

”Damn it, you son of a turtle! You actually let the Iron Arm Ape Group cultivate this Great Strength Vajra Ape? Its melee combat is probably unmatched by many in the entire Legion, huh?”

”Hehe, likewise. The Netherworld Demon Tiger is a rare Dark Element Monarch-potential Pet Beast. You really spared no expense this time, did you?”

”...”

Amidst these whispers, almost all the troop leaders from War Wolf A Division’s units, along with Chief Lin, the Political Commissar, and staff officers, simultaneously locked onto the Forest Wolf Troop’s position.

It wasn’t just them; many in the front row also fixed their gazes on it.

Everyone knew that the young man at the very edge of the front row—seemingly inconspicuous, yet drawing the most attention—was the Forest Wolf Troop’s Breeder.

And he had cultivated a Pet Beast never before seen.

Who wouldn’t want to see such a spectacle?

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Li Hang, the Forest Wolf Troop’s leader, and his teammates summoned their Pet Beasts with hardly a thought, the light of the summoning drawing many gazes.

The next moment, a few figures appeared within the light.

Liu Fuhai narrowed his eyes immediately.

Finally, this new Evolutionary Body of the Forest Wolf was clearly revealed.

The massive Forest Wolf’s fur, like strands of interwoven branches and leaves, cascaded down its back, making it resemble a strange old wolf wearing a straw rain cape.

The spreading branches and leaves formed two small, Y-shaped horns on its head.

Two leaves even dangled from these horns, making it look both cute and inexplicably majestic.

At first glance, viewed from the side, it didn’t look like a Forest Wolf but more like a Kylin draped in dark green fur!

This was the Wanmu Wolf!

In that moment, countless eyes were captivated.

Meanwhile, apart from those in the front row who were already in the know, others scanning the displays finally noticed these peculiar and utterly bizarre Evolutionary Bodies of the Forest Wolf on the Forest Wolf Troop’s live feed.

”Huh? What Evolutionary Body is this?”

”Is this the Forest Wolf Troop’s live feed? Are there any experts on Forest Wolves here? What kind of breed is this thing?”

”No idea, I’ve never seen it before.”

”...”

Amidst the fervent discussions, one thing was finally confirmed.

This was indeed the Forest Wolf Troop’s live feed, but as for what kind of Evolutionary Body it was, truly no one knew.

The consensus was: this was a new type of Evolutionary Body never before seen by the public!

”After the Forest Wolf Troop got thrashed by Unit C’s Rock Tiger Troop last time, were they secretly preparing an Ultimate Ability?”

”A new Evolutionary Body... I wonder what its Abilities are?”

”It still comes down to Skills and strength, but judging by its appearance, it can’t be weak!”

”Nonsense, if you could analyze actual strength from appearance, you would have joined the scouting team long ago.”

”...”

”Holy crap! It’s really true!”

Within War Wolf A Division, the Sand Wolf Troop’s leader nearly jumped out of his seat when he saw those five figures.

He quickly turned to Zhang Lie,

”Commander Zhang, this thing...”

”Just watch and you’ll find out,” Zhang Lie said, his mouth curving into a smile.
