Beast Taming: the More the Better

Chapter 183: Chapter 133: The Final Battle! A Brutal Contest!_3

”Go to the highest point of the forest with your Wanmu Wolves,” Su Ping commanded. ”Absorb as much sunlight as possible, ensure your safety as Beast Tamers, conserve your energy and stamina, and stop creating forest torrents! When you face the enemy, you must eliminate them with utmost speed, focusing primarily on their Beast Tamers!”

”Also, don’t stick together. For now, take positions on the roofs of the four high-rise buildings at the southeast, southwest, northeast, and northwest corners. You will traverse through the air. I will stay here, connecting the spreading trees from this very spot!”

”Yes, sir!”

Following these commands, the members of the Forest Wolf Troop on the rooftops leaped down without a second thought.

Almost at the instant they jumped, wooden structures materialized, transforming into bridges of wood that arched through the sky.

Once again, with incredible proficiency, they wove the sky above the small town into a green web!

This is terrifying!

Almost all the teams couldn’t help but raise their heads to look at the spreading branches in the sky. These branches connected with the ten-story buildings of the town, forming a Tree Prison that trapped them inside!

This is the real Tree Prison! No, this is the true Advent of the Tree Realm! The Tree Realm Prison!

Excitement beyond belief shone in Su Ping’s eyes!

Though the town was indeed very small—it was questionable if it even spanned three kilometers from end to end. After all, only about twenty buildings stood there. It could hardly be called a town; if anything, it was merely a residential complex.

But one had to remember, these were only five Wanmu Wolves for now!

What if in the future... if I cultivated a few dozen Wanmu Wolves to serve as ’battlefield controllers,’ supplemented by main attackers and a logistics team responsible for healing? If a complete iron triangle were formed, could this legion perhaps disregard the threat of Beast Tides numbering in the hundreds or thousands?

It seemed this was indeed the case!

With little concern for energy consumption, once the Tree Realm Prison enveloped the sky, every piece of wood fell under the Wanmu Wolves’ control. They didn’t need to attack other troublesome Pet Beasts. Instead, they utilized their near-limitless agility within this jungle. Able to traverse the woods at will, even move along the tops of trees to achieve an effect akin to ’flying,’ their assaults on the Beast Tamers were impossible to defend against!

Thus, as the chaotic battle commenced, messages began to flood the leaderboard!

[Forest Wolf Troop’s Sun Xiao has eliminated ’Zhang Bing’ of the White Tiger Group, gaining +1 Point...]

[Forest Wolf Troop’s Gao Hang has eliminated ’Li Tie’ of the Iron Arm Ape Group, gaining +1 Point...]

[...]

At a speed no one could have imagined.

In this vast jungle, it seemed they were the ones being hunted.

The Forest Wolf Troop, which had previously fallen to third place, surged back to the top in just one short hour!

What were they to do!? At this moment, everyone felt paralyzed.

However, soon, a crucial piece of news acted like a shot in the arm for everyone who had started to lose hope.

”Captain, look! The Forest Wolf Troop has suffered casualties!”

That’s right. After an hour of such chaotic fighting, the Forest Wolf Troop was not truly invincible after all.

Casualties had finally appeared.

It was Xiao Can, one of the five. His Wanmu Wolf was only a Commander Sixth Order.

But that wasn’t the true reason!

”Fire Type Pet Beasts, the natural nemesis of the Wanmu Wolves, have arrived!”

Everyone who had witnessed the recent events was discussing it animatedly.

Indeed, Xiao Can’s elimination was at the hands of the flame gorilla currently standing atop a building.

This year’s grand competition was undoubtedly the worst for the Ape Masters. Trouble seemed inevitable for them once they returned.

However, perhaps due to the Forest Wolf Troop’s luck, almost all the Fire Type Pet Beasts from the various divisions had been nearly wiped out.

Even the Ashen Wolf Lord of the War Wolf Division was no exception.

Hence, no Fire Type Pet Beasts had appeared until now.

Who would have thought that the Ape Troop would have a lone survivor!

This single remaining flame gorilla became the hope for breaking the deadlock!

The elimination of a single Wanmu Wolf instantly created a gap in the Tree Realm Prison that had enveloped the small town.

”Protect that flame gorilla!” someone roared, and then they all rallied together.

At this moment, they seemed to have truly disregarded their own scores!

Their sole objective was to eliminate the Forest Wolf Troop!

Otherwise, even if they achieved other decent rankings and points in this competition, their honor would be utterly lost!

The Forest Wolf Troop must be eliminated!

And at this crucial juncture, the arriving flame gorilla became the key to turning the tables.

The wood, now charred by flames, prevented the Wanmu Wolves from drawing power from it to sustain themselves.

Moreover, the interconnected trees, usually their strength, now became a deadly weakness under the blaze, helping the fire spread rapidly!

Flame Gorilla!

Li Da’s eyes were bloodshot; they had already accumulated a significant number of points.

After brawling for nearly the entire morning, everyone was practically consumed by battle frenzy.

But their stamina and Energy had been severely depleted.

However, while they were expending stamina and Energy, their enemies were losing their lives!

In just that morning, both the Black Tiger Group and the Shadow Leopard Group had each suffered one or two casualties.

And all the Titan Pythons of the Great Serpent Master had been completely eliminated!
