Global Lords: Starting with Halving Recruitment Costs

Chapter 172 Ranking and Tickets

Chapter 172 Ranking and Tickets

”Do you really think that your strength is invincible? Hmph, his druids can’t even stop the venom of the wyvern. Can they stop the attack of fifteen lizardman hunters?”

”Hahaha, maybe he thinks that although he can’t beat Eriksson, he can beat Nicholas.”

The aboriginal nobles of the swamp camp immediately started talking about it.

This time, the tone of most people returned to sarcasm again.

Obviously, they don’t think Guo Xiuwen is stronger than Eriksson or Nicholas.

After all, these two lords are already the strongest existence in Feilong Territory.

But obviously, what they said did not count, Guo Xiuwen looked at the elder.

The other party hesitated for a moment, then beckoned and invited several other powerful leaders over to discuss together for a while.

”Originally in our discussion, there was no requirement for the ranking of the lords. After all, we treat everyone equally. It is only because we have only ten places for the competition that we will select ten lords.”

This is nonsense, but in the position of the Great Elder, it is also nonsense that has to be said.

Of course, they will not directly say that they will train lords based on their rankings.

Even if they actually did this, even the lords below knew that they actually did this.

But the elder still continued to say such a sentence.

After he finished speaking, he changed the subject and started talking about business.

”However, I know that everyone and the territory of the Flying Dragon King are still not very familiar, and there may be some lords whose strength has not been fully displayed in the previous three battles.

So after we discussed it, we decided to let go of this challenge.

If anyone is dissatisfied with his ranking and feels that he can go to a higher ranking, then he can stand up. ”

The Great Elder finally agreed to Guo Xiuwen’s request.

But he obviously didn’t finish his sentence, because after agreeing, he continued.

”Of course, with such a choice, for the lords at the top, the battle that was already over had to be fought again. After thinking about it, we have a plan that satisfies the lords at the top.

That is the lords who are ranked within the top ten, whether they are ranked by us or the lords who won the position in the next challenge, if they have confidence in their own strength and want to hit a higher ranking.

Just stand up and choose to challenge the lord you want to challenge, but well, this kind of challenge is not without requirements.

The condition is to take out a silver rank soldier summoning scroll. ”

wow——

As soon as the Great Elder said this, there was an uproar in the arena.

After all, to challenge once, you need to take out a silver-ranked soldier summoning scroll.

You know, for most of the lords on the scene, a silver-rank soldier summoning scroll represents half or one-third of their own strength.

”Of course, this soldier summoning scroll is just a ticket for the challenge. If the challenge fails, this soldier summoning scroll is regarded as compensation for the challenged lord.

If the challenge is successful, the challenged lord can take back the soldier summoning scroll he took out. ”

After the Great Elder finished speaking, everyone fell silent.

After all, looking at it this way, this soldier summoning scroll is only used to limit the desire of some lords to challenge casually.

And for the challenged lord, it is actually a good thing.

After all, the lords who rank in the front are relatively strong in their own right.

If a lord really challenges them, they are actually not afraid, they just find it troublesome.

Now that there is the temptation of a summoning scroll for a silver-ranked soldier, they even hope that there will be more lords to challenge themselves.

”Have I finished speaking, are there any lords who don’t understand?”

After the Great Elder finished speaking, he looked at the top ten lords and the other six lords who had the opportunity to challenge.

”Don’t worry, you don’t need to take out a soldier summoning scroll for one of your challenges.”

Seeing that the six lords below seemed to be still worried about their quota for the challenge, the Great Elder specially explained at this time to ease everyone’s anxious mood.

”Hahaha.”

Sure enough, most of the aboriginal nobles and lords in the swamp camp laughed when they heard what the Great Elder said.

After the Great Elder finished speaking, everyone stopped talking, and the challenge officially started.

Guo Xiuwen glanced at the three resurrected people, and found that they were all fairly familiar lords.

They were Tal who was eliminated by him in the first round, Alec who was eliminated by him in the second round, and Kargath, the Wyvern Lord who was eliminated by him in the third round.

Seeing this, Guo Xiuwen almost laughed out loud, and other lords and aboriginal nobles also discovered this situation.

”What’s going on, I think it’s better to resurrect Raj than to revive Tal.”

Many lords and swamp camp nobles talked about it.

The Raj they were talking about was the lord who was finally eliminated by Nicholas.

”Tch, Raj has reached the third round, and there are only seven soldiers, so what if he is resurrected.”

However, some people disagree.

From this point of view, the strength of the lord who was eliminated by Guo Xiuwen for three consecutive rounds can be regarded as expected.

After all, the number of their silver rank soldiers is not small, and it is only natural for them to be resurrected.

”Let the resurrected lord choose the target of the challenge first. Remember, if you fail to challenge successfully, then you only have one chance to choose the target to challenge.”

The calm words of the Great Elder were spoken, which immediately made the three revived lords nervous.

There is only one chance, and they still choose the target first. Such an opportunity is really not very good.

After all, the ten lords selected into the top ten are all winners of the third round of battle.

In other words, each of them is stronger than in the third round of battle, with one more silver rank soldier.

In their current battle, a silver rank soldier is definitely a key factor in a battle.

So for a moment, the three of them looked at me and I looked at you, and they didn’t know what to choose.

”Hmph, what are you afraid of, I choose to challenge Huang Pinyuan.”

Seeing that the scene became quieter, Kargas, who had the largest number of soldiers in the end, took the initiative to stand up.

He holds thirteen Wyvern soldiers in his hands, and his own strength is definitely considered strong.

So it is also the most confident one.

The ranking of soldiers he chose is also quite interesting, not the last one, nor the No.2 from the bottom, or even the No.3 from the bottom.

I actually chose No.7.

Of course, this position does not belong to the top-ranked lords, but it just happened to break away from the top three rankings.

Kargas obviously did not choose this position randomly.

Just now the Great Elder has made it very clear that as long as he enters the top ten, then as long as he can get the summoning scroll of a silver-ranked soldier, he can continue to challenge.

And if they can’t make it into the top ten, their challenge will end here, and there is only this one chance.

This choice of Kargas is to ensure that he can enter the top ten, and then he will not be challenged by the next few lords who have free opportunities.

After all, the Great Elder has just made it very clear that the top ten lords are ranked according to the strength of the thirteen victorious lords.

In other words, the strength of the lords at the back is lower than that of the lords at the front, at least on paper.

He chose the seventh lord, as long as the battle was won.

The following lords only have one chance. In order to be able to enter the top ten, they are likely to focus on the bottom one, or the bottom three to challenge.

As the fourth-to-last man, he should not be targeted.

Seeing his choice, the eyes of many aboriginal nobles in the swamp camp also brightened. Obviously, Kargath’s choice made them feel very good.

However, Huang Pinyuan, the seventh-ranked lord, did not look so good-looking anymore.

After all, he was the one being challenged.

The key is his own strength, and he really may not be able to beat Kargas.

Huang Pinyuan had eleven soldiers in his hand, six of them were lizardmen hunters, and five of them were poisonous frogmen.

As soon as the battle started, the Lizardman Hunter and the Poisonous Frogman immediately started their burst shooting mode. Countless javelins and poisonous needles flew into the air, and the target was naturally the Wyvern in midair.

It has to be said that since Guo Xiuwen made a sudden move during the conversation, most of the lords who fought later chose to seize the opportunity.

Whoosh whoosh—

Countless javelins and poisonous needles flew towards the wyvern, and the wyvern faced a large number of attacks without any hesitation, directly spitting venom, trying to block part of the attack.

At the same time, they also began to swoop down from the air, trying to fight the lizardman hunters and poisonous frogmen on the ground.

bang bang bang-

The quality of the Wyvern’s group gas barrier is really good. After offsetting part of the javelins and poisonous needles with poison gas attacks, the remaining javelins and poisonous needles did not break their defense in the end.

And since the first wave of attack failed to break through their defense, the situation of the battle naturally became clearer after the Wyverns approached them.

Although whether it is a lizardman hunter or a poisonous frogman, their strength in close combat is actually quite remarkable, but their opponents, wyverns, are even better.

I saw two wyverns grabbing one of the lizardman hunters together, but the stone-cracking claws were pulled together fiercely, and the sharp barbs pierced into the lizardman hunter’s body.

Then they spread their wings and flew up into the sky, and the direction of the two Wyverns was not in the same position.

puff-

The lizardman hunter had no time to resist, and was directly torn in half by them in the air.

bang——

The other lizardman hunter swung his hand and used his reverse shooting skill to avoid the attack of one of the wyverns, but before he could stabilize his figure, he felt a pain in the back.

The claws of a Wyvern on the back had already tightly grasped his back.

Then he felt his body become lighter. When he held two javelins and turned around forcibly to fight the wyvern, the opponent let go of his claws, avoided the attack of the lizardman hunter, and let the opponent fall freely sports.

Puff - click -

The lizardman hunter who landed kept firing javelins towards the ground, hoping to use this to relieve the gravity of his landing.

But just when his javelin concussion was about to take effect, the wyvern that attacked him just now attacked from above his head again.

The frantic lizardman hunter finally failed to land smoothly, and a broken long leg was the price of this free fall.

quack quack-

When the wyvern approached, a highly poisonous frogman suddenly opened his mouth and spit out a cloud of poisonous gas, and then lay down on the ground, avoiding the wyvern’s first attack.

Then when they turned around to fight back, they found that the Wyvern ignored their poison gas attack and launched a second attack while they were lying down.

This time they were lying on the ground, so there was no escape.

puff-

The sharp dragon claws of the Wyvern instantly bruised the skin of the poisonous frogman.

However, the highly toxic pus from their bodies fell on the Wyvern but did not have the slightest effect.

”Kargas was not only trying to avoid being challenged by the remaining lords, but he had already seen in the previous battle that Huang Pinyuan’s poisonous frogman was obviously restrained by the Wyvern.

Both sides are masters at playing poison, but it is obvious that the poison of the highly poisonous frogman is still inferior to that of the wyvern. ”

”Actually, if Kargas isn’t eliminated by Guo Xiuwen, it’s more than enough for him to be in the top five.”

”Almost, after all, if he wins in the third round, he will now have fourteen Wyvern soldiers.”

”It’s about the same now.”

”No, it’s still a bit short now. The top five or thirteen lords all have one more soldier summoning scroll than Kargath.”

”That’s right, one has more cards and one has less cards. This calculation is the difference between two soldiers.”

”Erickson, who has the largest number of soldiers now, only has fifteen soldiers. These two soldiers can be regarded as one-seventh of his strength.”

Seeing that Kargas’ soldiers took down the seventh-ranked Huang Pinyuan like chopping melons and vegetables.

Many nobles felt sorry for him.

”Kagas challenged successfully, Huang Pinyuan, although you failed, I can give you another challenge, but your challenge target can only be ranked sixth or higher, and you need to take out a silver rank soldier Summon scrolls as tickets.”

Hearing the Great Elder’s words, Kargas laughed so hard that his mouth parted, revealing his fangs, but Huang Pinyuan’s face was ugly.

Because if he was to challenge the bottom four rankings, he still had a certain degree of confidence.

But who knew what the Great Elder meant, the lord who failed the challenge could not challenge the lords ranked below him.

This rule can be said to directly put the challenged lord into a dilemma.

After all, except for the arrogant guy like Guo Xiuwen, no lord thinks that his vision is more powerful than the aboriginal nobles of the swamp camp.

After the Great Elder finished speaking, he turned his attention to Tal and Alec, and did not pay any more attention to Huang Pinyuan.

In his opinion, only the top three lords may have the chance to achieve good results in the seven major power competitions.

As for the other seven lords, there is a high probability that they just ran away with them.

Therefore, it doesn’t really matter how the lords ranked later are selected.
