“Finally, it’s time to eat. I’m starving, even though I don’t have a chest,” Fang Fei said carelessly.

Immediately after, Du Yao and Guo Fei also got out of the car.

Guo Fei frowned slightly when he saw the entrance of No. 5 Western Suburbs.

“What is this place? Why does it feel like a food stall? Didn’t I tell you to find a better place?”

“I think that’s good enough,” Lin Yi said, “Look at the flowers and plants, the environment is great.”

“It’s not grand at all. It’s far inferior to the five-star hotel I went to previously.” Guo Fei said disdainfully.

“If I had known that you would choose such a low-class place, I wouldn’t have listened to you just now.”

With that, Guo Fei waved his hand. “Let’s go somewhere else. We don’t come to

Zhonghai often. I’ll bring you guys to eat something good.”

“Let’s not change locations. I’m a little hungry,” Fang Fei said.

“Besides, we’re classmates and there are no outsiders among us. It doesn’t matter where we eat. Besides, your family’s money doesn’t grow on trees. Isn’t it better to save a little?”

“I don’t want to go anywhere else.” Du Yao said.

“Brother Lin is a local of Zhonghai. The place he found will definitely taste good.”

“But when it comes to food, you get what you pay for. The taste is one thing, but the ingredients are also very particular.”

‘What’s there to be particular about?’ Fang Fei said.

“We’re all from the countryside. When we were in university, we ate spicy sticks every day. No one cares about this. Let’s go in and eat. I’m starving.”

“Alright.” Guo Fei said reluctantly.

“Then let’s have a simple meal here first. I’ll find you a good place to eat at later. No matter what, you have to enjoy a proper meal.”

“I miscalculated. I didn’t find the right place. I’ll just have a simple bite.” Lin Yi smiled.

The four of them entered the courtyard of No. 5 Western Suburbs.

He suddenly realized that although the outside looked ordinary, the environment inside was far different.

In the green waterside pavilion, wind chimes tinkled. There were also many abstract works of art. Although many of them did not understand what they meant, they gave off a feeling of serenity.

Guo Fei looked around and felt that the quality of this place was alright. It didn’t look like a food stall.

The price should match his own consumption.

Lin Yi walked in front and pushed the door open.

The restaurant was decorated in a medieval style, and most of the furniture was made of mahogany.

Although it lacked a modern vibe, every detail exuded an elegant aura.

There were eight tables on the first floor, five of which were occupied.

“This place is quite unique.” Fang Fei looked around. “I’ve never seen such a design in other shops.”

“It looks alright. At the very least, it’s not a food stall. Let’s just have a simple bite here.” Guo Fei casually pulled a chair over, looking very dignified.

“Good evening, sir and madam. Here’s the menu. What would you like to eat?” The waiter walked over with a half-bow. His service was very good.

Guo Fei pointed at Du Yao and Fang Fei.

“Ladies first. Let them order.

The waiter was very tactful and passed the menu to Du Yao and Fang Fei.

It was obvious that Guo Fei was the one who would pay the bill, so she had to listen to him.

The two of them took the menu and glanced at it. Their hands and facial expressions froze in an instant.

They felt that their eyes were playing tricks on them.

The most expensive dish cost more than 10,000 yuan?

The cheapest one was no less than 200 yuan. What kind of restaurant was this?

It was too expensive.

The two of them looked at it for a long time but did not know what to do.

Wouldn’t this meal cost more than ten thousand yuan?

“Guo Fei, I think we should go somewhere else,” Fang Fei said.

“Why change places? Aren’t you two hungry?’ Guo Fei crossed his legs and leaned back in his chair.

“Order whatever you want to eat. Don’t stand on ceremony with me.”

“But, but the things on it are a little expensive. Let’s forget it. We’re not outsiders.”

“I’ve even eaten in five-star hotels before, and I don’t think it’s expensive. How expensive can such a small restaurant be?’

“But the cheapest dishes here are more than 200 yuan. The prices are a little high.”

“The cheapest is more than 200?’

Guo Feidian could not sit still anymore. This price was indeed not cheap. It was even more expensive than the five-star hotel he went to.

“It’s fine. Just order whatever you like.”

Guo Fei understood Du Yao and Fang Fei. They were not the kind of people who spent money extravagantly.

Naturally, they would not order the most expensive thing. If he calculated according to the average price, five or six dishes would only cost three to four thousand yuan at most. He could still afford it if he gritted his teeth.

Thinking of this, Guo Fei glanced at Lin Yi.

This guy was really rude. He actually chose such an expensive place. Did he want to embarrass him?

However, he probably wouldn’t have thought that with Guo Fei’s financial resources, it wouldn’t be a problem for him to spend this much!

How inexperienced!

Seeing that Guo Fei had said so, Du Yao and Fang Fei did not say anything else. They held the menu and looked at it for a while before pointing at the 200-odd dishes.

“I’ll have this espresso.”

“Okay, four portions of spaghetti bisque,” the waiter said.

“No, no, no. You heard wrong. We don’t want four servings. We want one serving.” “But the spaghetti bisque is for one person. It’s all calculated per head.” “Um.

This time, Guo Fei and the other two couldn’t sit still anymore. They hadn’t ordered anything else, and just ordering four portions of soup cost a thousand yuan.

If other staple foods were included, wouldn’t the price reach the heavens? “Then let’s have four. Guo Fei already said that he’s treating us tonight. He even said that we can order whatever we want. We don’t have to skimp and save on his behalf.” Lin Yi took the menu and said.

“Four portions of sake and half a head abalone, minced meat, salted duck, wild rhubarb flowers, and two crab soup dumplings for the main course. Fried rice with soy sauce, two glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice, and two glasses of

Coke.’

“Alright, sir. Please wait a moment.”

The waiter put away the menu and turned to leave. The atmosphere at the table also quietened down.

“Brother Lin, isn’t this price a little expensive? The half abalone you ordered just now seemed to cost more than 10,000 yuan each. Four servings would cost more than 50,000 yuan,” Du Yao whispered.

“I can’t do anything about it. Guo Fei doesn’t like this kind of place. I have to order some expensive food to make up for that. What if he doesn’t like what I ordered?”

Lin Yi smiled and looked at Guo Fei. ‘This price should be alright. Although it doesn’t reach your consumption level, it shouldn’t be much worse, don’t you think?”

Guo Fei’s face alternated between red and white, and even his body trembled.

This time, he had brought more than 10,000 yuan with him.

Not to mention paying for this meal, he probably couldn’t even afford half the dishes!

Damn it!

He wondered if he could use his family’s Alipay to pay later. Otherwise, he might not be able to afford it.

“The… the place is alright. It’s barely passable..”
