After arriving here, he realized that the third trial was not completely over yet, but it was soon ending.

Lin Yi already knew that the test today was about endurance.

Compared to the first two tests, today’s tests were more professional. Moreover, they used professional equipment.

Bicycles and treadmills.

However, the two sets of devices were different from ordinary bicycles and treadmills. They were specially designed to test one’s physical fitness.

The candidate needed to wear a face mask and then be measured on the total breath volume, total inhaled oxygen volume, total exhaled carbon dioxide volume, and the breath rate per minute.

By monitoring the changes in breathing, the testers could observe the cardiopulmonary capacity and the efficiency of carbohydrate and fat utilization in the candidate.

Then, through professional software, they would process the data and generate the evaluation results.

Lin Yi’s arrival attracted everyone’s attention.

Especially Yuan Hao. He was looking forward to seeing Lin Yi getting poor results. That way, he would have a chance of qualifying.

However , reality was very harsh.

Lin Yi’s test results were once again ahead of everyone.

Moreover, just like the previous two times, he successfully crushed the other 35 people without using his full strength. He even easily surpassed Wang Mian without any suspense.

Liu Hong was very satisfied with Lin Yi’s results.

“If nothing goes wrong, he should be able to pass the test in first place.” Tao Cheng nodded and agreed with Liu Hong.

Lin Yi’s results were far ahead of the others. As long as he didn’t place last in the later logical thinking test, it wouldn’t be a problem for him to get first place.

Liu Hong looked at his watch. “l think it’s about time. Let’s start the logical thinking test now. There’s no need to waste time.”

“Okay.”

After resting for abut ten minutes, the Central Guards Brigade members and the trial candidates arrived at the gymnasium.

Apart from two blackboards, there was nothing else in the hall.

Tao Cheng looked at the participants and said,

“We are about to start the last test, but don’t be nervous. We just need to use our brains for this test. ‘

Many people had already asked around in advance and learned that the test would measure one’s logical thinking ability, but they did not know what the contents of the test was.

At this moment, Wang Bingyu gave everyone paper and pens to use for answering later.

Then, Tao Cheng turned one of the blackboards around.

There were a few lines containing some small words on it. This was the next question.

“I’ll explain the content of the questions to everyone so that you can answer them.”

“Listen up. 100 couples have had a second child, if one of the children is a boy, what is the probability that the other child is also a boy?’

After reading the question, Tao Cheng reminded him, “You’re not allowed to whisper to each other. The answering time is one minute.”

Lin Yi looked at the question and felt that it was quite interesting.

After thinking for a few seconds, he wrote down his answer.

A minute later, Tao Cheng flipped the first blackboard back and turned the second blackboard around.

Interestingly, there were no words on the blackboard. There were only three pieces of Aa paper.

“Let me introduce this question to everyone.”

“Let’s say these three sheets of paper are three doors. One of them has a car behind it. That leaves two doors have goats behind it. Now I’m going to invite a cadet to choose a door to open it and see if there’s a car behind the door he selects.”

“Choose the first one!” Zhang Hui said first.

“Do you think there’s a car behind this door?”

“I’m not sure, because the probability is the same. No matter which door is opened, the probability of finding a car is 1/3, so I casually chose one.”

Tao Cheng smiled and nodded. “You’re right to think that way.”

However, ‘I’aocheng did not open the first sheet of paper. Instead, he opened the second sheet.

On the back of the second piece of paper clearly had the word “GOAT” written on it.

In other words, behind this door was a goat, not a car!

At this moment, Tao Cheng spoke again.

“Now, let’s make a guess. What’s the probability of a car being behind the third door? After one minute to answer, please hand in your papers.”

Both questions had been answered.

After a while, some participants had written their answers on a piece of paper, but others were still racking their brains, as if they had yet to figure out what the exact answer was.

However, a minute would not allow them to think too much.

This test was important because the battlefield was ever-changing. If one could not make a decision in a short period of time, they would face death.

Soon, all 36 answers were received.

“I remember that back then, only Little Wang answered both questions correctly. The rest ofyou seemed to have all answered wrongly,” Liu Hong said.

“Hehe, Leader, let me tell you, my answer to that question back then was also a lucky guess, Wang Bingyu said.

“But Wang Mian also seemed to get it right. ‘

“He guessed the answer to one of his questions,” Qiu Yuluo said. “I heard him mention this before.”

“It doesn’t matter if he guessed it or not. As long as you can answer it correctly, you are successful.” Liu Hong said.

“Get me Lin Yi’s answers first. Let me see how many he could answer correctly.” Following Liu Hong’s instructions, Tao Cheng rummaged through the pile.

When he saw the answer, his expression changed.

“They’re both correct. The probability of the first question is 1/3, and the probability of the second question is 2/3.”

“As expected, this kid didn’t disappoint me. He actually answered correctly.” Liu Hong said excitedly.

“Boss, don’t be happy so early. Maybe it was a lucky guess,” Qiu Yuluo said.

‘We’ll know when we ask him how he answered.”

Then, Tao Cheng looked at the other people’s answers.

There were more than 20 people who answered both questions as 1/2.

There were also people who got both answers wrong.

There were also people who wrote answers that were not even mildly related at all.

To Tao Cheng’s relief, four of them answered the first question correctly, and three of them answered the second question correctly.

Compared to the current crop of members, it was not bad.

This was because none of them got both right back then.

After sorting out the answers, Tao Cheng placed his hands behind his back and said to the people present,

“In this assessment, 28 people got o points. Number 5, Du Juan, Number 9,

Dong Xinpeng, Number 11, Huang Chun, Number 14, Guo Qiang, 18, Zhang Lei, 22, Deng Pengfei, 25, Ma Suyang, one point. Number 36, Lin Yi, two points!” As soon as the answer came out, everyone present was shocked.

“Instructor, he answered both of them correctly?” Yuan Hao said in surprise.

“The answers to both questions are clearly 1/2. How can there be any other answer?”

Tao Cheng laughed. “These two questions are logical deduction questions. It’s easy for people to get it wrong. It’s understandable that most of you got it wrong. ”

With that, Tao Cheng looked at Lin Yi.

“Lin Yi, can you share your thoughts on the questions and let everyone know how you came up with 1/3 and 2/3?”
