Lin Yi put his arm around Liang Ruoxu’s shoulder.

“What are you thanking me for? Let’s go back and eat.”

After this issue was resolved, the subsequent meal was very enjoyable. However, Lin Yi needed to leave to feed the pig once, which dampened the mood a little.

At three o’clock in the afternoon, the group finished their meal and went to check out the greenhouse.

“Not bad, kid. You actually planted ginseng and lingzhi,” Yang Guangxia said with a smile.

“Not only did he plant it, but it also seems to be alive,” MO Hongshan teased.

“I’ve sent a few wild ginsengs and lingzhi from the Agricultural Research Institute to him,” Liang Ruoxu said. “There are probably only a few of them in the entire Zhonghai. If it dies, I’ll deal with him harshly.”

“You two are really…” Yang Guangxia said with a smile, treating Liang Ruoxu and Lin Yi as a couple.

After walking around Lin Yi’s greenhouse for a while, Yang Guangxia and the others returned home.

However, before he went back, Tao Cheng chatted with Lin Yi a little more.

He felt that this person was quite interesting.

However, Wang Bingyu still felt that Lin Yi was a little abnormal.

He was so young and so capable, but he actually came here to raise pigs and

No matter how she looked at it, he was not behaving like someone his age.

Logically speaking, he should be enjoying himself and going out to have fun.

After sending off Liang Ruoxu, Yang Guangxia, and the others, Lin Yi returned home.

As soon as he entered, he saw Yao Bin standing by the wall.

“Little Lin, did you call over the people who arrested Liu Dongming?”

‘Yes, I called the police.”

Lin Yi replied casually and didn’t say much.

“Now, you’ve become our village’s benefactor.” Yao Bin said.

“Just now, these people in the village discussed it and wanted to recommend you to become the village chief. What do you think?”

“Huh? You want me to be the village chief? Are you sure you’re not joking?’

There are some differences between the position of village chief and other positions in terms of the level of authority.

The village chief is an elected official, which means that if the villagers are willing, Lin Yi could easily become the village chief.

“No, no, no. I’m a lazy guy who shuns responsibility. If I were to become the village chief, Happiness Village would definitely become poorer. It’s better to forget about it.”

“Kid, you are shunning good fortune even though it has landed right on your lap.”

“It’s mainly because I don’t have the ability.” Lin Yi smiled. “But if there’s anything I can help with, I’ll definitely do so. ‘

“You’re a good person, but you’re too playful.” Yao Bin smiled. “Still, this is normal. Who doesn’t like to play when they’re young?”

“That’s exactly it.”

The two of them chatted happily for a while before Lin Yi returned to the house.

After packing up, Lin Yi prepared to return to Zhonghai to deal with the company’s matters.

Out here, the land had already been watered, and there was nothing else for him to do.

However, he still had to take the piglet away.

For f*cks sake.

After returning to the bustling Zhonghai, Lin Yi felt as if a lifetime had passed.

It was as if he had traveled from one world to another.

In reality, these two places were only dozens of kilometers apart, but it was as if a hundred years had passed.

Seeing that Lin Yi had suddenly returned, Ji Qingyan went forward and hugged him.

However, when she saw the piglet in his hand, she laughed loudly without caring about her image.

This scene was too strange.

“Is everything alright with Happiness Village?”

“The plants have been watered. There’s no need for me to stay there for now. We’ll go back in a few days.” Lin Yi said.

“But after a while, I plan to get a set of automatic watering equipment and install a few surveillance cameras. That way, I can take care of it remotely in real time. ‘

“Then, what should we do with this?” Ji Qingyan pointed at the piglet and asked.

“I’ll take it with me and feed it by hand for the time being. When it is able to eat solid food, I’ll buy an automatic feeding device and leave it alone. Otherwise, if I have to carry it around every day, I might as well bid farewell to my lifestyle.”

Ji Qingyan looked at Lin Yi apologetically. “This is all my fault. I was careless. I didn’t expect this pet to be so troublesome.”

“Cough, cough, cough… You shouldn’t have forgotten what you promised me for five minutes, right?”

“Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten.”

“Let’s go.”

The next morning, Lin Yi carried the cage into the car.

He felt that he might have to bid farewell to the sports car until this thing was weaned.

After sending Ji Qingyan to the office, Lin Yi drove to Lingyun Group and called Qi Xianzhao, He Yuanyuan, and Tian Yan to his office.

“President Lin, ever since the 12% of Cymer’s shares were acquired, international capital has become very restless, especially the Meiguon Department of Commerce and the Ouzhoun Union. They have already started to take action against the semiconductor industry. However, the specific timing and the magnitude of these actions are uncertain,” Qi Xianzhao said.

“Even so, I think the acquisition of Cymer could become a fuse that could implicate the entire semiconductor industry.”

Lin Yi nodded as he listened before looking at He Yuanyuan and Tian Yan.

‘What do you think?”

He Yuanyuan combed her hair. “My thoughts are similar to Brother Qi’s.”

“Huaxia’s rapid development will definitely cause the Western countries to feel a sense of crisis. The acquisition of Cymer can be considered the last straw. In the future, I expect the domestic scientific innovation board to be greatly damaged, and the market value of Longxin to also plummet.”

“What about you?” Lin Yi looked at Tian Yan.

“In the future, domestic investment prospects won’t be optimistic.”

Tian Yan gave her opinion. “Even though the May phone is about to be released, the new mobile operating system is still in its infancy. Due to the Cymer incident, I have a feeling that IOS and Android will also take action soon. However, the intensity of their attack will depend on how much a fuss our side makes. After so many years, they won’t allow a new operating system to break their monopoly. Due to all this, I think it is fair to say we are in for a rough time.”

“How far along is the development of the new operating system?” Lin Yi asked.

“In the past three months, Lingyun Group, along with the funds provided by major investors, has already invested over 7 billion yuan into the operating system. Conservative estimations state that this funding can meet the usage demands of around 70% of the population. However, satisfying the remaining 30% will be challenging. For us, there is still la long road ahead to the May operating system.

“The follow-up work does not rely solely on financial investment; it requires time to refine,” He Yuanyuan added.

“I understand what you mean.” Lin Yi said.

“However, there’s no better way to build an ecosystem than to spend money. Although Apple and Google are rich, they definitely aren’t willing to spend money like us in the domestic market. This is the only way we can move future.’

“But those are all things for the future.” He Yuanyuan said.

“If the semiconductor industry is suppressed, even the mobile phone business will be affected. That’s what we should focus on now.’

“I agree with that,” Tian Yan said. “This is all for the photolithography machine.”

“Don’t worry. I’ve already thought of the next step of the plan..”
