“Pfft!

Ji Qingyan could not help but laugh out loud.

“Then feed the pig first. Give it more food. Send me a video when you’re done.”

“Alright, we’ll talk later. “x

After ending the call with Ji Qingyan, Lin Yi started feeding the piglet.

However, after feeding it for a while, he realized that something was wrong. According to previous experience, after it ate something, it would stop squealing.

But now that it was almost done eating, Lin Yi felt that something was wrong.

Putting down the milk bottle, Lin Yi carried the piglet out.

“Third Brother, Third Sister-in-law.”

Not long after, Yao Bing and Liu Chunli walked out with their clothes on.

‘What happened?’

“I feel that there’s something wrong with this pig. He’s already fed, but he’s still whining.”

“Carry it over for me to see,” Liu Chunli said as she walked to the wall.

Lin Yi handed the piglet over.

The couple looked around.

“You raised it in the house. Logically speaking, there shouldn’t be anything wrong with it,” Liu Chunli muttered. “What else did you do other than feed it?”

“Just now, after I watered the vegetable garden and gave it a shower. That’s basically it.”

“He caught a cold,” Yao Bin said with certainty.

‘What the f*ck? It caught a cold?”

“This thing is like a human. If you pour cold water on it, it will definitely catch a cold,” Yao Bin said.

“Can you drive your car? I’ll accompany you to town to buy some medicine. It’ll be fine after taking some.”

Lin Yi, “

“System, I’ll f*cked your ancestors for eighteen generations. Ji Qingyan didn’t even ask me to serve her when she caught a cold, yet you want me to serve a pig with a cold? My good reputation has been ruined by you.” The system did not respond and instead chose to play dead.

“Third Brother, keep an eye out for me. I’m going to town to buy some medicine, but shouldn’t the shop be closed at this time?”

“It’s fine. Old Wu runs the pharmacy himself. If it’s closed, knock on the door and tell him what medicine you want to buy. He’ll pass it to you.”

“Alright, I understand. ‘

Lin Yi handed the piglet to Yao Bin and drove to town.

Twenty minutes later, Lin Yi came back.

He mixed the animal cold medicine into the milk powder and fed it to the piglet.

“Keep an eye on it tonight. If the situation isn’t good after midnight, feed it again. That should do the trick.”

“I have to keep watch?”

“Of course.” Yao Bin said.

“Didn’t I tell you? This thing is like a child. Although it is not so sensitive, it still needs some light food to recover.”

“Alright, I understand. ‘

Lin Yi carried the piglet back and placed it in the cage before sending a video to Ji Qingyan.

‘Why did you take so long? I’ve even finished showering,” Ji Qingyan said with a smile.

“Don’t mention it. I gave it a bath just now and it caught a cold. I went to town to buy some medicine.”

“Ah?! Can pigs catch colds?”

“If they can give birth to children, it can naturally catch a cold. After all, she’s a

mammal.”

“How is it now? Is it okay? Do we need to send him to the vet?”

“It hasn’t reached that level yet. I’ll observe it tonight. I don’t think it’ll be a big problem.”

Ji Qingyan looked at Lin Yi apologetically. “1 think I’ve caused you a lot of trouble.”

“You have the cheek to say that.”

“Mua… It’s indeed my fault, but don’t worry, I’ll compensate you.”

“How will you compensate me?”

“I’ll pay you with my body. I’ll let you touch me for free for five minutes.”

“It’s a deal.”

Lin Yi didn’t sleep much that night. Fortunately, nothing unexpected happened.

However, at around five o’clock the next morning, the piglet started to squeal agam.

If it weren’t for Lin Yi’s strong physique, he probably would’ve collapsed just like Ji Qingyan.

After feeding the piglet in the morning, Lin Yi went to the vegetable garden and the greenhouse to work for a while.

Under the effects of the life promotion potion, the fruit grew very well.

However, there was also a disadvantage. The weeds grew more than usual and needed to be tended to often.

At nine in the morning, Lin Yi received a call from Yang Guangxia saying that they had already set off and would arrive in about an hour.

After hanging up, Lin Yi went to feed the pig and started preparing to cook.

At about 10:30, two Audi A6s stopped at the entrance of the courtyard.

Lin Yi realized that one of the cars belonged to Liang Ruoxu.

Five people alighted from the car.

Other than Liang Ruoxu, Yang Guangxia, and MO Hongshan, there were two other unfamiliar faces.

The man and woman were both in their thirties.

They did not dress sloppily and gave off a very sharp feeling.

Moreover, the moment the two of them entered, they had been sizing up their surroundings with the eyes of a hawk.

Lin Yi could tell that these two people weren’t weak. At the very least, they were stronger than MO Hongshan.

“Kid, you did quite well.” Yang Guangxia praised, “You have a good nose and eyes.”

“So-so. I’ll send you some when the vegetables in the garden are ready.”

“You’re the one who said it. Don’t go back on your word.”

“Don’t worry about that.”

Yang Guangxia nodded and turned around with a smile. ‘These two are comrades from the Central Guards Brigade. They came to look just for you.”

After the introduction, the dark-skinned man extended his hand. “Second unit of the Central Defense Brigade, Tao Cheng.”

Immediately after, the woman beside him also reached out her hand.

“Second unit, Wang Bingyu.”

Lin Yi shook hands with both of them.

“Lin Yi.”

‘We’re here today mainly to take a look at you. If you have any questions, you can talk to them,” Yang Guangxia said.

“Alright.” Lin Yi said.

“Didn’t you say that you wanted to come here to fish? I’ll bring you there and you can eat the fish you catch later.’

“Then let’s go. I’ve been waiting.”

“Lin Yi, you ‘re raising pigs?” Liang Ruoxu asked in surprise.

“I’ve already said that I’m here to enjoy the pastoral life. If I don’t raise a pig, won’t I have been wasting my time?”

Liang Ruoxu didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but she didn’t have the strength to refute. This was very much Lin Yi’s style.

“I’m not surprised that you did this.”

“Look at what you’re saying. You’re making it sound like I’m very abnormal.”

“But this is not something a normal person should do,” Liang Ruoxu complained.

‘Why is there medicine here?”

“It caught a cold last night, so I gave it some medicine.”

Liang Ruoxu’s expression was the same as Ji Qingyan’s last night.

In their eyes, pigs should not catch a cold.

Wang Bingyu also looked into the house and saw the little piggy that was locked in a cage.

Then, she glanced at Lin Yi.

She felt that the man in front of her was really a little abnormal.

“Big Brother Cheng, do you think this person has mental problems?”

“How can there be a problem with the person recommended by Old Master Yang?”

“I’m not saying he actually has issues. I’m just wondering if he’s like those otaku guys from the anime world, always having strange ideas in their heads and actually bringing them to life, like raising pigs in a cage..”
