Chapter 61 Accept Inheritance

Chapter 61 Accept Inheritance
”Why did the Creator create this game?”

There was a fire in Lin Ye’s heart, and this was the answer he had been eager to know.

If it was true what Jialan said, then this mysterious creator was really too cruel.

”In order to select suitable civilizations!” Jialan said lightly.

”The strongest race in the doomsday will receive the gift of the creator, not only inexhaustible resources, but also the ability to complete a race evolution in a short period of time.

It is equivalent to the ascension in your cognition, ascension to a star field of a higher plane! ”

Speaking of this, Jialan’s expression showed infinite longing. After a while, he turned to look at the crystal seat, stroked the armrest and let out a long sigh:
”Our El civilization has experienced two catastrophes.

For the first time, we are invaders. After successfully destroying a civilization, the entire race has evolved, and its physical ability, intelligence and even technological level have been greatly improved.

However, tens of thousands of years later, that is, when the catastrophe came, we did not expect that we would be forced to defend! ”

Lin Ye was very curious that such a huge group who had obtained the so-called ”Ascension” would lose to those rampant bugs!
”Since you have such an advantage, why did Star El become what it is now?”

Jialan turned her head, hesitated for a moment, and then said slowly:
”Our planet Aiur won an overall victory in the first cataclysm, not only the whole race was promoted, but also a lot of spoils.

However, as time passed, our development goal of colonizing the interstellar world was put on hold for the time being, and we began to enjoy the fruits of victory.

So after thousands of years, the Ayres’ expedition to the galaxy has become a beautiful epic story, and tens of thousands of years later, the cruelty of the war has long been forgotten by the Ayres, and their comfortable life has made them lose their vigilance against danger. ”

He paused and continued:

”The next enemy we face is the Zerg, a super race that spans the galaxy, and what they are best at is crushing with numbers.

Even if we have the means to deal with it, we will not be able to withstand the long-term war of attrition.

Our planet is constantly being eaten away, and in the end only this temple hidden in the warp remains.

If we have no solution, the Aiur civilization will be reduced to a speck of dust and disappear forever in this Orion Nebula. ”

”So you found an outsider and found me to help you solve this mess. Why didn’t you find a leader of the same clan?” Lin Ye raised his finger and pointed outside the door.

In his opinion, Rita, the daughter of Elvin, the elder of the temple, although she has a bit of a temper and a little haste, is very suitable to be the leader of the Aiir people.

Unexpectedly, after listening to Jialan, she immediately shook her head, looking a little disappointed:

”It took 30 years for the Temple Elders to find no suitable candidates among the younger generations. They couldn’t even pass the test of the ancient beasts!”

Ferocious beast?

Hearing this, Lin Ye looked around at the twelve pillars around him. He thought the dynamic images emitted by those totems were just ordinary light and shadow effects, but he didn’t expect it to be a difficult trial.

But why didn’t anything happen just now?
Although Lin Ye is very curious, but right now he is most concerned about another thing:

”After accepting your inheritance, what can I get?”

Jialan sat back on the crystal chair, leaned against the back of the chair with open hands, and responded loudly: ”Everything I know, everything I own, and, the entire El Civilization!”

”The entire El Civilization?” Lin Ye asked in surprise.

Although he really wanted to learn the technology of the Ayre people, it would be a bit reluctant to say that he would also take people away.

”We have lost too much, and we are unable to recreate the glory of the Star of El. We... have reached the end!”

”All right……”

The tone was different from the previous one. At this time, Jialan’s words were full of despair. It was hard to imagine that a former leader would become like this.

After Lin Ye nodded in agreement, he suddenly remembered Erwin’s instructions, so he took this opportunity to ask:

”Then there is one more thing. Elder Erwin mentioned to me that after I accept the inheritance, I need to activate the temple’s prohibition and completely remove the gene locks of the Aiir people. What’s the situation?”

Hearing this, Jialan’s expression suddenly became serious. He turned to look at the crystal seat, stroked the armrest and let out a long sigh:
”After obtaining the inheritance, you can activate the talisman array under my feet, and the energy flow from it can spread throughout the entire temple.

The Ayre people under the dome will fully lift the restriction of gene sequence, so that their strength can be greatly improved.

This method is somewhat similar to racial evolution, but this will consume the vitality of the Ayres exponentially, and it won’t last long.

Once we fail to break through the siege of the Zerg, the only thing waiting for us is death! ”

At this moment, Jialan suddenly turned around, looked at Lin Ye and said solemnly:
”However, I have one last request!
Due to other considerations, you must let the Temple Elders assist you, but judging from the current situation, Erwin is your only choice! ”

Lin Ye was a little confused: ”Didn’t you mean the elders?”

Jialan shook her head, then explained:

”Currently, there is only Erwin, the chief elder, left in the entire temple.

In order to maintain the operation of this hall, it needs to consume a certain amount of vitality every time it is opened, and the previous dozens of attempts have already exhausted the members of the elders. ”

”Why, even if it’s a sacrifice, can’t you just find someone to come?” Lin Ye was a little inconceivable.

Jialan held the armrest of the seat tightly, and said in a deep voice:

”As members of the elders, even if they are smashed to pieces, they will not hesitate, because this is the supreme law of the temple, and it is the absolute devotion of the Ayre people to civilization and faith.”

While the two were talking, there was a strange movement outside the door.

”Time is running out, we need to complete the inheritance ceremony as soon as possible!” Jialan withdrew her gaze, stood up directly from the seat, then approached the light curtain, and said anxiously, ”You just need to stand in front of the light curtain and hold your hand Reach in, and leave everything to me after that!”

Lin Ye had no better choice, but as he said, approached the light curtain and stretched out his right hand.

The light in the hall became more and more intense, even showing signs of going berserk.

The ancient characters on the talisman array on the ground were projected onto the top of the hall, and ferocious beasts of various shapes broke away from the surrounding columns and ran into the light curtain.

Jialan’s image began to flicker violently, and even the voice became unrecognizable due to the interference of the energy flow.

The inheritance has already begun, and Lin Ye felt a huge will pouring into his body.

Different from the situation I felt in the worm nest before, this time, the system did not issue a warning, but instead processed the data synchronously.
