Chapter 302 Entering the World Gap

“The formation process of a World Gap is very complicated.” Li Guan continued, “The World Gap is warped and folded; its size is extremely vast. According to our observations, it’s likely about 70% the size of the human world.”

“Seventy percent?” Meng Chuan and company were astonished.

“It’s naturally not formed in a day or two. According to human historical records, a World Gap can form in just a few decades; it can even take centuries for it to form completely,” said Li Guan. “As it forms, the River of Spacetime’s power will gradually mold a world. Some ‘magical objects’ will appear. Many of these items can only be found when a world is born.”

Items that only appear when a world is born? King Calm Sea and King True Martial’s hearts stirred. Meng Chuan and the other Marquis Godfiends listened carefully

Qin Wu smiled as well. “The World Gap is a special, distorted region that is forming. The strongest lifeform that can enter is a Regis Godfiend. Creation Supremacies are unable to enter. It is very beneficial to one’s cultivation to witness a world’s birth. Therefore, the demons will definitely send fifth Firmament demon monarchs into the World Gap as well.”

“King True Martial, King Calm Sea, you might encounter demons after you enter. You will need to fend off fifth Firmament demon monarchs,” said the illusory Luo Tang. “You also have to protect the three Marquis Godfiends at the same time. Can you do it?”

“The demon monarch cultivation system is weaker than ours,” said King True Martial with a smile. “If the enemy consists only of fifth Firmament demon monarchs, I have full confidence in protecting two Marquis Godfiends within 25 kilometers of me.”

“I can protect one,” said King Calm Sea.

“King Calm Sea, protect Xue Feng. King True Martial… protect the other two Marquis Godfiends,” said Luo Tang.

King Calm Sea and the King True Martial didn’t refuse. Meng Chuan and company understood that the two Regis Godfiends were responsible for protecting them.

“It is a very rare opportunity to witness the birth of a world,” said Qin Wu. “All of you have to seize the opportunity to cultivate well. If you encounter a rare item that appears during the birth of the world, you should try to snatch it.”

“Yes,” replied the five Godfiends.

“The three Marquis Godfiends can’t be careless,” warned Luo Tang. “It’s likely that the fifth Firmament demon monarchs that enter the World Gap won’t be newly-advanced ones, but those that have cultivated for a long time. The three Marquis Godfiends will enter the World Gap for a year. A year later, King True Martial and King Calm Sea will send the three of you back.”

Meng Chuan and company understood.

Meng Chuan said, “One year, then our missions…” Was his daily underground reconnaissance going to be stopped?

“Your missions have to stop,” said Qin Wu with a smile. “Other Godfiends will take over your missions temporarily. Since we currently have a shortage of Godfiends, only the five of you will be sent in. Otherwise, we would have sent more Godfiends in.”

Qin Wu looked at Meng Chuan. His heart ached for his disciple. This disciple’s saber arts talent was somewhat lacking compared to a peerless genius, but he was extremely diligent and hardworking. He never complained about his long-term daily underground reconnaissance. Furthermore, due to the need to keep it a secret, the outside world did not know of his contributions. Therefore, Qin Wu had pushed for Meng Chuan’s entry into the World Gap. He couldn’t just keep letting him toil without any benefits, right?

“For the next year, all of you will be in the World Gap. If there’s anything you need to prepare, quickly do so. In four hours, I’ll send all of you into the World Gap.” Li Guan waved his hand as five dossiers appeared in front of him. “This is an intelligence dossier regarding the World Gap. You can read it for a better understanding.”

King True Martial, King Calm Sea, Meng Chuan, Xue Feng, and Yan Chitong took the dossiers and began reading.

Meng Chuan wrote letters to his father, wife, and children. After all, his family would be worried if he disappeared for a year without notifying them beforehand.

Four hours later.

The three Supremacies and the five Godfiends stood on one of the nameless mountain peaks of Archean Mountain.

“Although the World Gap is connected to the human world, both regions are obstructed by a world membrane,” said Li Guan. “To enter the World Gap, one has to first break through the human world’s membrane wall, then the World Gap’s membrane wall, creating a temporary passageway. This requires Creation-realm level strength. King True Martial should be able to do it on his own,” said Li Guan with a smile. Following that, he waved his fist and punched the void.

Boom

A burst of gray energy crashed into the barrier in front of them. The space in front of them began to crumble and collapse, revealing a shimmering barrier.

“This is a World Gap’s membrane wall,” said Li Guan with a smile. “It was formed due to the human world and the Demon Realm overlapping. Now, only a portion of the membrane wall has formed; thus, it’s much easier to smash through the membrane wall.”

He waved his hand.

The colorful membrane wall shattered, revealing a 60-foot-wide hole. Through the hole, one could see the world on the other side.

“Enter. The human world’s membrane wall will be restored very soon,” said Li Guan. Qin Wu and Luo Tang watched by the side.

“Let’s go.” King Calm Sea took the lead.

King True Martial released his domain. An invisible fluctuation enveloped Meng Chuan, Xue Feng, and Yan Chitong. They flew into the hole and entered the World Gap.

Demon Realm.

A white-furred lion demon elder stood in a valley and smiled at the three fifth Firmament demon monarchs beside him. “Have you thought it through? You’re likely to encounter human Regis Godfiends in the World Gap. The powers of the Demon Realm can’t help you. You have to deal with problems by yourselves.”

“Demon Sage, we’ve decided. Let us enter.”

“We’ll eat any Regis Godfiends we encounter.”

“Let’s see if Regis Godfiends can fend off my divine powers.”

Greater Demon Monarchs Flood Dragon, Fiery Phoenix, and Ox were very confident. They were fifth Firmament demon monarchs that had cultivated for many years. When the three of them worked together, they even dared to fight a demon sage.

“Alright, I’ll send you in. At least ten greater demon monarchs should’ve entered the World Gap.” The white-furred lion demon elder reached out his hand and grabbed at the shimmering barrier. His fingers transformed into sharp claws that tore through the Demon Realm’s membrane wall. Following that, he tore through the World Gap’s membrane wall, forming a huge hole. Through the hole, one could see the world inside the World Gap.“Thank you, Demon Sage.” The three demon monarchs were overjoyed. They immediately entered the World Gap.

Meng Chuan and company looked at the world in front of them. The 60-foot-wide hole behind them slowly closed.

“This is the World Gap?” Meng Chuan felt his body lighten as an invisible force swept across the world. There was no air. In this environment, mortals’ bodies would probably be destroyed within a few seconds by the invisible force. Meaning Chuan looked around carefully. The distorted sky was dark-red, and one could see many spots of light on the ground.

Oh? Meng Chuan waved his hand, and many beams of light flew towards him. These beams of light were actually gold, silver, gems, ores, etc.

“The birth of a world leaves all kinds of minerals everywhere.” Yan Chitong sighed in amazement. “The description in the dossier is true.”

“These common objects aren’t of much use to us. Let’s go and find a place that’s in the middle of its birth,” said King True Martial with a smile. Gold, silver, and gems were useless to Godfiends. It was only because of their special characteristics that they became currency and used as cash in the mortal world. Godfiends were more concerned about sect credits, heritages, and natural treasures.

Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!

The five quickly flew through the World Gap.
