Chapter 70: It is not recommended to discuss the issue of seniorityChapter 70: It is not recommended to discuss the issue of seniority

”The power of Purgatory can interfere with illusions to a certain extent.” Rorschach suddenly remembered that Abel was not there when he faced the Trick of Confusion last time, and he was not clear about the effect of the power of Purgatory, so he immediately reminded him in his mind.

Upon hearing this, Abel immediately transferred part of the power of purgatory to his ears. He did not dare to transfer it directly to his eyes because the eyes are usually the most vulnerable.

Except for a very small number of special bloodlines, even if the vast majority of bloodline knights purify their entire bodies with blood, they will only purify their eyes last.

Rorschach dared to do this, on the one hand because he was young and ignorant, and on the other hand because his eyes were inherently special.

”really!”

After Abel mobilized the power of purgatory to the area of his ears, he found that the sounds he heard in his ears were no longer the sounds of vendors hawking and the hustle and bustle of traffic as before. This was completely different from what he saw!
Although he was still disturbed by the illusion visually, his hearing alone was enough to confirm that he was indeed trapped in an illusion.

This made him extremely manic!
He is not afraid of death, nor is he afraid of how powerful his enemies are.

But being attacked before even seeing the enemy, and being completely helpless in a situation like this, made him feel deeply powerless.

”We can’t go on like this. Useless lambs have no value in existence. We must change this situation at all costs!” At this moment, Abel suddenly understood Su Xueqi’s previous feelings.

At this time, Rorschach had already reached his waist with one hand, holding the cylinder that Rex gave him, which looked like a flare, ready to pull it open at any time.

Because he knew very well that the current situation was probably not something Abel and Ah Dai could handle. No matter who the unknown person who suddenly pulled them into the illusion was, there was a high probability that he was at the gold level!
It was Rex who told him about this.

Rex had mentioned before after he encountered the Confusion Ghost that although the Ghost’s power level was gold level, because it did not have wisdom, its ability to create illusions was very limited, so Ah Dai sensed that something was wrong.

If it was a gold-level person who was truly proficient in illusion, even Ah Dai wouldn’t be able to detect it at all, after all, Ah Dai’s power level has not reached the gold level.

Doesn’t the current situation exactly fit what Rex said?
Facing a silver-level warrior like Perez, Rorschach could still fight him with some of the cards he had in his hand, but what if he really met a gold-level warrior?
These trump cards are basically meaningless, and it is even difficult to delay time. The only way... is to call for help!
Although the illusion could silently affect their senses, it could not affect the distress signal he sent out.

However, just as Rorschach was about to use this last trick, he suddenly noticed a figure sitting on the rooftop next to him:
”Name: Lindsay Sphinx”

”Race: Humanity, Banshee bloodline”

”Ability: Secret Technique of Confusion Lv.4”

”Hint 1: As you can tell from the name, this is the second member of the Sphinx family you have met. In terms of seniority, your Aunt Susan is his great-grandmother’s sister, and you should be his...”

”Tip 2: It is not recommended to discuss issues of seniority!”

……

It really is gold grade!

Not only is it gold grade, but it also comes from the Sphinx family, one of the four original blood families. The blood that was fused is also the inherited bloodline of the Sphinx family - the banshee bloodline!
Although Rorschach had no idea why he met a golden knight from the Sphinx family in the Mountain Capital, since the other party was from the Sphinx family and came to target a mere bronze knight like him for no reason, Rorschach didn’t believe this was a coincidence.

As soon as he thought of this, he said helplessly to the air: ”Can you please stop teasing me, teacher? I’m timid and can’t stand being scared...”

”Hey, how did you guess that?”

A somewhat surprised voice sounded, but the voice did not come from Rex, so it was obviously the person just seen.

”I told you a long time ago that you can’t scare him, but you didn’t believe it... Now you finally believe it, right?” Rex’s voice also sounded.

At the same time, the illusion in front of Abel’s eyes disappeared instantly, which allowed him to finally see the original appearance in front of him.

The man named Lindsay who was sitting on the eaves had already jumped down from it and walked towards Rorschach slowly. Rex also appeared from a corner not far away and walked towards Rorschach at the same time as Lindsay.

Abel subconsciously wanted to stop Lindsay because he heard that the illusion just now was the work of this person!
Even though he knew very well that he was no match for this man, he still stood in front of Rorschach. If necessary, he would fight to the death!
”Get out of the way, Abel. The one in front of you is of gold level... If I’m not mistaken, his last name should also be Sphinx?” Rorschach looked at the forest track.

”Good eyesight!” Lindsay’s smile looked particularly sunny. When placed on his beautiful face that was almost androgynous, it really made people ignore the gender issue. ”Lindsay, you are from the Sphinx family. When I heard your teacher praise you before, I thought it was a bit exaggerated. Now I think I was narrow-minded.”

Rex had also come to Rorschach by this time and said with a faint smile, ”This guy’s great-grandmother is your Aunt Susan’s sister. If it were from your Aunt Susan’s side, he should call you...”

”Hey, hey, hey, if you keep doing this I’m leaving. I can’t play like this!” Lindsay interrupted Rex.

Rorschach had also realized by now that it was no wonder that the True Prison Eye’s final reminder was for him not to discuss the issue of seniority, because it was indeed a bit embarrassing.

If what Rex said was true, Lindsay should call him his great-grandfather, but Rorschach was not so bold as to take advantage of a gold-level master.

”Okay, let me introduce you again. Lindsay Sphinx is the third member of our Knights Templar and is in charge of all foreign affairs.” Rex smiled and introduced Lindsay again on behalf of Rorschach.

”When did I promise you?” Lindsay rolled her eyes.

”You didn’t agree? Then let’s get back to the issue of seniority...” Rex said slowly.

”No, I promised. Isn’t it enough to promise? Let’s stop talking about this.” Lindsay interrupted Rex again and said to Rorschach, ”Don’t learn to be such a scoundrel like him in the future. He is simply a shame to Storm.”

Rorschach knew that Lindsay was teasing Rex’s title of ’Son of the Storm’, and it was obvious that the two were old friends.

Threats and such are just jokes.

”To celebrate the recruitment of new members to our Killer Knights, I propose that we don’t go home until we are drunk tonight. Hahahaha!” Rex laughed heartily.

It was obvious that he was very happy to see his old friend Lindsay.

”Drinking is fine, but can we drink somewhere else?” Rorschach asked.

”Change a place?”

”The next few days will definitely be very chaotic. I thought, teacher, you should just stay in the hotel where the Iron Wall Caravan is staying for a few days, so I won’t have to run back and forth.” Rorschach expressed his plan.

”Iron Wall Caravan... OK.” Rex glanced at Rorschach with a slight smile, as if he had guessed something, and continued, ”Then Lindsay, you should come along too, don’t go back.”

”I’m here to watch the ceremony on behalf of my family. Wouldn’t it be bad to just slip away like this?” Lindsay frowned slightly.

”Of course. This is simply a disrespect to the Pound family and is equivalent to slapping my uncle in the face.” Rex nodded.

”Okay! Then I won’t go back. Let’s go for a drink, three of us brothers!” Lindsay smiled and put her arm around Rex with one hand and Rorschach with the other.

Of course he knew that Rex was Rorschach’s teacher, but it was better not to talk about seniority!
Abel was left disheveled in the wind, unable to recover for a long time.

”Stop daydreaming, take Ah Dai with you and go buy some good wine to bring back to the Copper Bell Hotel.” Rorschach’s voice sounded in his mind at this time.

”Yes!”

Abel quickly responded in his mind.
