Chapter 53: The Murderous Knights, less than one person?Chapter 53: The Murderous Knights, Second to None?
”Teacher, have you ever dealt with the remnants of those evil gods?” Walking behind Rex, Rorschach asked curiously.

”Of course.” Rex nodded and said, ”Their history is actually longer than that of the three empires. It’s just that as the power of the three empires grew, most of them were wiped out.”

”Since most of them have been wiped out, can they still pose a threat to the Mountain Capital?” Luo Xia asked.

”That’s because you don’t know how unscrupulous these evil gods were at their peak. In the era before the establishment of the three great empires, the Gray Region was in chaos, and it was the churches that believed in those evil gods that ruled everything.”

Rex recalled, ”If we call this era the Empire Era, then the era before the establishment of the three empires should be called the Church Era. Even though they have declined now, not everyone can step on them, especially the Pound family, who are not united.”

”So, teacher, you’re saying that the remnants of the evil gods must have some unknown tricks up their sleeves, and the Pound family will be in danger this time?” Rorschach said.

”It’s not dangerous. The four original blood families are not that easy to deal with, otherwise the royal family wouldn’t be so wary. Moreover, the Lanis family is also involved this time, so they must have made a lot of preparations.” Rex said lightly, ”But injuries are inevitable.”

Rorschach nodded in understanding.

He definitely believed in Rex’s judgment, not only because of Rex’s past identity, but also because Rex came from Dusk Village.

Rex, who has lived in Dusk Village for more than ten years, has become a different person from the little prince who was only famous for his talent.

”Then what conditions did you set for her, teacher?” Rorschach asked again.

”I plan to form a knight group next and invite her to be the logistics director of our group.” Rex shrugged.

”The Knights?”

”Yes, I’ve even thought of a name for it. It’s called ’The Knights of Murder.’”

”...”

Rorschach never expected that Rex would actually use this kind of pun.

The Knights of Murder are fine, but why not call them the Knights of Brother Destruction? They’re just short of having the word traitor written on their faces, no wonder Elsa didn’t dare to agree easily.

Who dares to do this...

”Wait, I’m involved too?” Rorschach then realized that Rex had just been talking about our group, which obviously included Rorschach as well.

”You are the deputy leader of our regiment, isn’t that awesome?” Rex said.

”Great!”

Following the principle of never letting a flattery get in the way, Luo Xia first said something polite, then asked, ”So how many people are there in our group now?”

Rex held up two fingers.

”Twenty?”

”Of course there are two. Otherwise, do you think I will recruit anyone to our group?” Rex shook his finger.

Good guy!
Rorschach really exclaimed in his heart, ”What a guy!”
He is the deputy leader. There are only two of them in the whole group. As the deputy leader, he is second only to the first.

We finally managed to get Elsa to join us, but she still doesn’t dare to get on board.

”If she doesn’t agree to join the group, will we still stay in the Mountain Capital?” Rorschach asked.

”Believe me, she will agree.” Rex smiled faintly, ”But not now. We must wait until the big show begins.”

”Okay.” Rorschach was a little skeptical about this, because everything they were talking about was just Rex’s personal judgment based on his own experience, and it was still unknown whether it was accurate.

However, through previous auditing, Rorschach also verified that his previous feeling was indeed correct!
He learned that the remnants of the evil god were planning to hold a sacrifice ceremony in the mountain capital, this was the first level; he determined that the two original bloodline families were fishing, this was the second level; but he did not guess that there was a third level -

The remnants of the evil god are also taking advantage of the situation!
As for the internal struggle within the Pound family, this was not something Rorschach could predict in advance. After all, this required certain intelligence to analyze.

Of course, he didn’t know as much about the Pound family as Rex did.

”Let’s not talk about this anymore. Let’s talk about you. Did you go to meet that little girl named Stephanie before?” Rex suddenly asked with a gossipy look on his face.

”How did you know?” Rorschach cooperated and showed that he was a little embarrassed.

”You have never left the village since you were a child. Who else can you see except her and her shameless brother?” Rex shook his head and smiled, ”Okay, okay, I won’t ask about your affairs. Just be careful. Recently, the mountain capital must be more chaotic than usual.”

”I know. I always take Ah Dai with me when I go out.” Rorschach nodded.

”As long as you have the number, this is for you. If you really encounter any trouble that you can’t solve, just point this end towards the sky and pull the ring.” Rex handed Rorschach a round tube-like object, which was obviously something like a flare.

Despite Ah Dai’s close protection, Rorschach was already safe.

It is impossible for anyone below the gold level to hurt Rorschach under Ah Dai’s protection, but there are who knows how many remnants of the evil gods there are in the city now. Rex does not want to make a big mistake because of his momentary fluke mentality.

”learn.”

Rorschach put the tube away and said he had memorized it.

……

The next day.

Rex was busy again.

Luo Xia had nothing to do, so he rode Ah Dai straight to the Bronze Bell Hotel.

However, when he arrived, there seemed to be some conflict at the Bronze Bell Hotel, with two groups of people shouting and pulling each other at the door.

One of them was the Iron Wall Caravan.

Many people around gradually gathered towards the Bronze Bell Hotel, obviously thinking that there was something exciting to watch and they couldn’t miss the opportunity to watch the show.

Seeing this, Rorschach jumped off Ah-Dai’s back and led him towards the crowd.

When the people in front saw someone leading a mount beast over, they quickly made way for Rorschach so that he could see the real-time situation of the Bronze Bell Inn.

Rorschach squeezed to the front and looked around, and found a bald middle-aged man eating dried fruits and watching the fun beside him.

This immediately gave him an idea, because people like him are often the ones who eat the most melons, so he asked directly, ”Big brother, do you know what’s going on over there now?”

”Finally you’ve asked the right person, brother!” The bald middle-aged man was so excited when he heard someone asking about his battle situation. He explained to Rorschach with a beaming face, ”To put it simply, there was a foreign merchant caravan over there, and they were ripped off when they went to the nearby market to sell goods.”

”Got cheated? How did you get cheated?”

”It’s still the same old routine. You buy a specialty from his family, and he dies after eating it, and then his family comes to ask for compensation.” The bald middle-aged man showed disdain, obviously he was used to this kind of scene.
