The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 990: De-escalation (2)

What would have taken the authorities several hours, perhaps days, to de-escalate was achieved by Klaus in mere minutes with words.

That was a next level of authority nobody, aside from Klaus, possessed.

He had managed to defuse what the heavens had planned and schemed for years within minutes.

It was his first win.

But Klaus wasn’t done. Now that Princess Eshira was gone and nobody knew how the interview was supposed to go, Klaus took it upon himself to handle the continuation.

”In the effort to prepare for what is coming, many measures will be put in place to make sure that in 60 days, there will be no danger to civilians.

What I will say here will merely be the tip of the iceberg, but I want you all to pay attention and follow it to the last dot.

First, after this broadcast, a link will be shared on my social media accounts. I want all who have awakened their class to click and sign up with all the details that will be required of you.

Make no mistake, the warriors who will fight have already been selected. This means you are not signing up to become cannon fodder in the coming battle.

You are merely signing up to protect your small families.

On the day of the battle, it will be all hands on deck, and so all warriors will be on the battlefield. This means your homes will need protection.

So even though you can’t protect your loved ones right now, signing up will give you the power to do so, and trust me, you’ll need it.

It is going to be a difficult battle; however, trust me, at the end of the day, light will shine on us all again.

So, no matter how useless your class is or how dull your talent is, you have to sign up. This includes you, Mom,” Klaus laughed.

Somewhere in Dream City, his mom, who was wiping her tears, laughed. ”This brat.”

”Second, many security measures will be carried out, so I want every last one of you to cooperate with the officials in charge of that and be sure to lend them a hand if you can help, for trust me, the earth needs all of us.

Third, this applies to all assassins who previously worked for the Dark Order. Two years ago, I killed the top-ranking members in a span of seven days, and a large number of them during the battle in Union City.

However, I know there are thousands of you still alive, and while you are too scared to come out, I want you all to drop the fear and come to Dream City three days from today.

You know you want to make amends, so this is your chance. Come and join something positive, for trust me, in the end, we are all against a common enemy this time.

You have done some bad things in the past, but now is your chance to turn things around. Trust me, you have to seize this opportunity, for it is the only one you will get.

Fourth, in 40 days, the first Earth Ascendence Warrior competition will take place in Oracle, which will be broadcast worldwide. It is something that will happen every five years.

Of course, the main objective of this competition was to showcase the kind of brave warriors we have and what kind of power they possess to protect you.

When that day comes, you all should watch and use that time to cheer for your brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters who will be fighting to protect you.

Until then, get back to your life and start living like there are better days ahead.”

The screens went back to normal the moment the broadcast ended.

Klaus sighed.

He had said all there was to say this time; however, the work had just begun. Tomorrow, the dungeon will open. However, before that, he must meet the top-ranking members of the various warrior units on Earth.

Klaus snapped his fingers, and GoodBoyBen appeared. He was startled at first, but calmed down when he saw Klaus.

Klaus handed his phone to him. ”Do whatever you do and make yourself have the ability to post through my account. From today onwards, you will become my assistant.”

GoodBoyBen was taken aback, but he recovered quickly and did what was required of him.

”Make a post inviting all the leaders in the various cities and unions to a meeting tomorrow. The venue will be communicated later.

Aside from them, invite all military leaders to the same meeting, and also scientists, blacksmiths, and formation experts.”

GoodBoyBen went to work and, using Klaus’s account, made the post, which was immediately received by all.

They vanished and appeared outside. Klaus tapped GoodBoyBen on the shoulder, enveloping him in a purple energy, and then they began teleporting back to Dream City.

”Woah, that was like mushroom all over again,” GoodBoyBen said, feeling his eyes play tricks on him. A few seconds later, he recovered.

The movement was one his body couldn’t handle. Had it not been for Klaus protecting him with his energy, he would have turned to mush by now.

”Klaus, I would like to invite a few friends to help with handling the many questions people are asking. They are all dedicated friends and loyal followers of yours.

I don’t know if you have heard of us, but we call ourselves The Knights of House Klaus.”

Klaus chuckled, ”So you are also part of Lucil’s band of fanatics.”

GoodBoyBen smiled weakly, hearing Klaus’s words. ”Don’t tell her I knew she was the one who formed this group, and yes, you can invite them.

I will move with you, but they can follow if they can keep up.”

GoodBoyBen smiled, ”Don’t worry, we are more than just fans; we have powerful warriors in our ranks. We will be able to keep up.”

”If you say so.”

Klaus and GoodBoyBen soon appeared in Dream City, where Klaus’s wives and mother surrounded him. They all came for a hug, with his mom spending more time pulling his ear for calling her talentless on a live broadcast.

After making sure his ears were red enough, she let go. Klaus just laughed, but the pain made him aware that no matter how strong he had become, his mom would always be able to hurt him.

”We want to show you something,” Ohema said after the pain subsided. She created a void crack, and soon they were gone.

They appeared over the Atlantic Ocean, where a tall tower greeted them.

”Wow, when did this get here?” Klaus was startled to see a tall, majestic tower—or more like a pagoda—standing in the water.

It was made from the strongest metal on earth, Vibranium, and he could even see runes carved into the walls.

”We collaborated with the Bast race to build a place where all meetings could be held. It also has a living space where you can stay if you want.

Aside from that, Oracle also collaborated with us to create an exact copy of it inside the virtual world so that everyone with an invitation can access.”

”It is majestic,” Klaus said, very happy. Ohema sure knows how to make her man happy.

”What should we call it?” Nadia, the beautiful Elven Princess, asked.

Klaus thought for a moment, and a name popped into his mind. However, just when he was about to voice it, he stopped himself. Then, a different name appeared in his mind.

”From today, let it be known that this tower shall be called ’Tower of Defiance’ or ’Defiance Tower.’”

Paragon Tower would have brought too much trouble in the future.

GoodBoyBen updated his post, adding an image of the tower and the location for the meeting tomorrow.
