The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 985: Gravity Training

”Big brother, the gravity in this world is strange,” Jane said, looking at the projection of the world’s surface through her star map.

It was another function of the star map—the ability to see the internal structure and nature of a world.

”How so?” Klaus asked.

”The gravity in this world has layers. I don’t know how, but there are four layers of gravity inside this world. The weakest part has the same gravity as Earth, but it is small. The rest, however, aside from the second layer, I am not sure you can handle them.”

”Strange indeed.” Klaus looked at the Brow planet one more time, and an idea formed in his mind.

”At my current level, entering the third and fourth layers will turn me into paste. However, the first and second aren’t a problem, and I suppose there is a way to enter safely.”

Jane nodded.

”In that case, I will enter through the part that has the weak gravity and work my way to the stronger side. I am sure, with my affinity for the law of gravity, I will be able to gain something training here for a while.”

”Big brother, you have to be careful, though. The gravity at the second layer is very powerful. Not to mention the one at the third and fourth layers.”

”I will be careful.”

”In that case, you can enter from this part of the planet,” Jane pointed at a part of the planet. The planet is at least three and a half times bigger than Earth.

However, it wouldn’t be habitable in any way unless, of course, one was able to adapt to the gravity there.

Even so, living in such a world is not ideal, so Klaus’s first plan is to train there. Using his time there, he will find a way to turn it into a training planet for his friends and team back on Earth.

”You have to go back, Jane. You must take my blood and improve your cultivation base. So, while I train here, you must go handle your own business back home.”

Klaus tapped Jane on the shoulder, and she was surrounded by a brilliant white light.

”I will be sure to unlock the second seal on the star map before you return.”

With that, Jane vanished and appeared back on Earth. She immediately found Queenie, who was with Efad, the tiny Klaus that everyone couldn’t get enough of.

Meanwhile, Klaus prepared well, making sure he approached the location where he would be entering the world with precision. If he were to take the wrong turn, he would turn to splat before he even got to experience the training he was after.

He used the ship to move, and after seven hours, he arrived at the location.

He left the ship in space and flew toward the planet. After another four hours, he finally entered the atmosphere of the world. A few minutes after entering, his gaze landed on hundreds of stone mountains.

There were no trees on the surface. Aside from the stone mountains, each towering several meters tall. The rest was sand.

Klaus sped up and landed atop a mountain that was a little taller than the rest.

”This place is too plain,” Klaus said, looking around for a few minutes before he jumped down the mountain.

”According to what Jane said, I should be entering the second layer 7,000 km from this spot.” Klaus started speeding up.

Now his speed had reached a level where he could travel several kilometers within minutes, so he was moving very fast.

A few seconds into his movement, he began to feel the change in gravity, prompting him to pause and walk instead.

”Interesting. The more I move, the more I feel the laws of gravity acting on me. This place might just be my spot for the next couple of weeks before the dungeon opens.”

Klaus smiled, knowing this was a good sign. The law of gravity basically has three levels. The first level is pressure. It is what acts upon the world and what most use to strengthen their bones.

That is the part Klaus must now understand. The moment he understands that, bloodline pressure or any form of pressure wouldn’t have much bearing on him.

Of course, to some degree, he can be crushed through bloodline pressure if his opponent is stronger than he is.

However, if he were to learn something from the first level of the Gravity Law, he would become an immovable mountain on the battlefield.

Soon, the gravity bearing on Klaus started to increase.

”Looks like I am almost inside the second layer. However, if the pressure is already this strong, then what should I expect when I enter the main layer two?”

Klaus slowed down and kept moving forward.

Soon, he came to a complete stop.

He had finally reached the second layer, and while Klaus wasn’t at his limit, he felt like he was standing under the pressure of a Peak Ascension stage warrior.

”From what the senior said, the first thing I must learn is Weight Suppression, and to learn that, I must at least be able to sense the essence of gravity.”

Klaus started moving forward, making sure he was within his limit. After moving 2 km, Klaus came to a stop.

”This is just strange. It feels like gravity has been deeply ingrained in this world. I can sense it, but can’t see it or feel it like I want to.”

Klaus’s movement was now slowed to a certain degree. Eventually, it came to a stop when he appeared before a 6 km tall mountain.

”Interesting. This is interesting. I can see strands of the law of gravity; however, they seem to line the mountain all the way up this mountain.”

”Senior, can you hear me?” Klaus called out to the senior, who only came to congratulate him when he awakened his soul bodies and left.

Now he needed his help.

[There are many ways to learn the laws, brat. This one seems to involve body testing. So, as you are probably thinking, the answer is yes: to understand Weight Suppression, the first stage of the Pressure, you must climb the mountain.

The way to master Weight Suppression is by moving against gravity.

So, climb the mountain, and if that is not enough, move further forward and climb another one until you can manifest the law of gravity and be able to learn it

Though you have to know, when it comes to the third and fourth layers, you shouldn’t rush to get there.]

”Understood, senior.”

Klaus looked at the mountain that already had a diagonal path for him to walk on. ”Looks like it was prepared to be climbed, so there is even a path in it.”

Klaus smiled. He knew it would be hard to get to the peak, but he was determined. He planned to reach the top, and, as the senior had said, if it wasn’t enough, he would climb the next mountain and keep climbing until he learned the law of Gravity.

Klaus sighed, took the top step, and began to climb the mountain.

”Damn.” The moment Klaus stepped onto the mountain to begin climbing, he felt like the weight of the entire mountain was placed on his shoulders.

His leg bent, and he nearly knelt. In an instant, his energy was drained, and all he could harness was his true strength.

”It feels like something blocked my body from feeling my energy.”

[Good luck, brat. You might just increase your strength while learning the law of gravity, and, well, this world is indeed strange.]

Klaus exhaled and then took the second step, and so he started climbing.
