The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 982: The Bast Race Awakening

Klaus looked at Princess Eshira and sighed.

Just now, Bast, the ever-talkative, was about to say something forbidden, but she held herself back after realizing the errors of her way.

However, Klaus heard more than enough to know the lady standing before him was someone several times more powerful in her past life, even before she became Magnus’s wife.

’One of the Five Fairies of Death.’

Klaus smiled and chose to handle the events of Princess Eshira’s complicated past later.

Bast held the sword and then turned to Prince Challa.

”Step forward.”

Prince Challa stepped forward and stopped before her.

”Before we begin, you have to know that this handsome young man standing over there is my master, so after this awakening, he will become something akin to your grandmaster,” Bast laughed.

Klaus just smirked. ”Don’t mind her, Prince Challa. In my eyes, we are practically brothers, considering you are my brother-in-law.”

Bast laughed for a few moments before speaking. ”Since my master said you are his brother, then status-wise, you are even superior to me.

Since that is the case, I will grant you powers beyond your imagination. They will become yours, but as to whether you can make them yours will depend on how high your determination is.”

”I will be sure not to disappoint the Panther goddess.”

”Oh, please, you can just call me Big Sister Bast. Since my player master has already found a liking to your sister, we might as well be family already.”

”Bast, have I ever told you one day this mouth of yours will be your doom? I can predict the future, you know.” Bast shrugged at Klaus, her focus rooted on Prince Challa.

”You have the means to surpass many in the future, so be sure to train well, and I promise you, one of these days, you will know what kind of monster you are.”

Prince Challa nodded, though he was still in shock, not expecting things to be this shocking.

The fact that the Panther goddess had acknowledged Klaus as her master was more than enough for someone like him, who had always held the Panther goddess Bast in his heart.

And if that wasn’t enough, she even acknowledged him as a brother. That was more than enough for him to put a pin in his thoughts, planning to gather his thoughts and go through them later.

”Time to start.”

Bast’s body moved up slightly, and then the sword in her hand flew and penetrated the sky. Suddenly, a wave of divine light appeared over Zanbathu.

Every last member of the Bast race felt their bodies bathed in this divine light just as a voice started to speak, penetrating their minds.

”You have served me with sincerity and faithfulness. I am honored, and so I, Bast, the Panther goddess and the first Beast general of the Star Monarch Paragon Army, hereby bestow my blessings on you all.

Remember, the panther is a fierce beast and an undying spirit.”

The moment she finished speaking, the light exploded, and every last person felt a powerful presence enter their bodies.

All over Zanbuthu, everyone felt the presence of their goddess within them, guiding them to awaken their latent abilities and inherit her supreme blessing.

Thousands fell to their knees and began singing praises to their goddess, while the lucky and talented ones entered an enlightened state and started awakening the bloodline of the Panther goddess.

Both the princess and Prince Challa were the same. They also entered an enlightened state.

”It is done,” Bast said as her body began to flicker.

”You have done well, Bast. When we meet, I will be sure to reward you.”

”I am looking forward to that, Master. Until then, you should pay more attention to this wife of yours. She is special.”

Klaus smiled and said, ”All my wives are special.”

Bast just smirked and then, with a smile on her face, she turned into a mist of light and flew into Klaus’s forehead.

”When the time comes, you will know what to use it for.” Those were Bast’s last words that entered Klaus’s head as she vanished away.

Klaus sighed and sat down. He sent a message to his wives informing them he wouldn’t be returning for dinner since he wanted to stay until the awakening was over.

[Beasts Universe – The Great Panther Planetary System – Planet Baku]

Many lightyears away from the human universe, the home of the beasts could be found. Billions of different beasts reside there.

Just like in the human universe, the beast race is also ruled by a Celestial Emperor. However, aside from him, there are many Celestials, Supremes, and gods.

The Great Panther Planetary System is a vast expanse of dozens of worlds, ruled by the infamous Panther goddess, known by many as Goddess Bast.

Many call her the Supreme Panther simply because, under her rule, billions of Panthers live safe and free from all outside danger.

Inside a floating palace crafted from the finest materials the universe has to offer, a woman of brown skin, clad in a fine wool dress, opened her purple eyes, radiating a pure divine aura.

Her purple hair flowed down her back.

She smiled faintly, ”Finally, he has awakened, meaning I can get back out there and start living like a real panther instead of a couped-up one.”

If anyone was happy to sense the awakening of a paragon, then it was probably her. To many, she is this calm and friendly panther goddess, but in truth, she is one of the fiercest hunters Klaus has ever met.

”I need to alert the others.” She flicked her hand, and a black glass appeared in her palm. She tapped on it three times at three different spots.

”Alert the Big 13. Tell them that the big boss has awakened.”

No voice came from the receiving end of the crystal, but Bast placed the crystal back in her storage ring and vanished, appearing inside a different room.

This time, she sat in a lotus posture and sent a part of her consciousness into the Virtual Dark Space. It is similar to Oracle back on Earth. However, this one doesn’t require one to wear a helmet or glasses before they can access it.

In Bast’s case, her access device was a pendant on her necklace. Everybody has a way of accessing the Virtual Dark Space, which is different from the known universe.

The Virtual Dark Space is also akin to a universe of its own, and most events are held there.

She appeared in front of a large black monument standing inside a remote valley. She walked forward and then entered the black monument. The moment she stepped through it, she was greeted by a large and terrifying-looking temple.

In front of this temple was a statue of a handsome young man. This man, of course, was Klaus. Bast walked past the statue after bowing slightly toward it and entered the temple.

There were no chairs inside the temple. At the center sat a man whose eyes were closed, but he sensed Bast’s presence the moment she appeared around the temple.

On his lap was a long black sword oozing a potent killing aura.

When Bast was 10 meters away, he opened his eyes and spoke. ”It’s been 720,000 years since you last came here, Bast. How can I help you this time?”

Bast smiled, ”Senior Gorr, the master has awakened.”

A smile appeared on Gorr’s face. ”Finally...” The sword on his lap shuddered excitedly.
