The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 836: Lily, The Red Fury

During Klausʼs 8th incarnation, he clashed with hundreds of thousands of enemies, one of whom was the sect master of the Eternal Furies Sect.

Itʼs a female-only sect in one of the strongest worlds in the universe.

Kaden clashed with her because she was a member of the Heavens Cult, a special group of cultivators who dedicated their time to hating the paragons.

Back then, Kaden was angry when Pickle Berry nearly died saving him, so when he located this sect master, he went in full force, resulting in a battle that destroyed half of the Eternal Furies Sect.

In the end, Kaden killed her and left. However, the battle was far from over. While Kaden came, did as he pleased, and left the sect in ruins, one person took offense.

What Kaden didnʼt know was that while he made sure nobody else except the sect master died, one other person lost something big, and that was the Red Fury.

The Eternal Furies Sect has five beauties who, according to records, are even more terrifying than the sect master. The color of the elements marks them.

One of them was the Red Fury, the most dangerous of them all.

She came to the sect after dominating many battlefields, so naturally, she was very dangerous.

Unbeknownst to Kaden, the battle between him and the sect master of the Eternal Furies Sect caused the Red Fury to lose control over her cultivation when she was at a critical junction. This caused her to experience a severe backlash that destroyed 300 years of effort.

So when she recovered from the backlash and found out what happened, she set out to hunt Kaden.

Back then, this Red fury didnʼt only go after Kaden; she went after anyone who shared a sliver of a relationship with him, killing them as she moved.

Her fury rose to the point where Kaden had to seek her out, or she would kill an entire race, which in no way would quench her fury.

The day they met, Kaden saw what hate can do to a person. Their battle lasted just two hours, but Pickle Berry had to take her master away simply because he was no match for the Red Fury, whose wind element had a color, and it was red.

That was why she was known as the red Fury...

The Red Fury Wind was the name of her wind element. Of course, that was the name she gave it, but that was beside the point.

Pickle Berry had to run with her master, and for 20 years, they continued to flee. The fury coming after them was no easy opponent.

The Red Fury—she was the second person, aside from the Shadowless Assassin, to make a paragon run. It was something that wasnʼt possible when it came to a paragon...So that was very shocking.

Kaden and Pickle Berry went against the heavens fearlessly, but they couldnʼt outrun even a furious fairy.

In the end, another powerful beauty who was obsessed with Kaden intervened and saved Kaden by subduing the Red Fury. However, instead of killing her, Kaden found a way to help her recover what she had lost.

One thing led to another, and along the way, they became lovers. However, Pickle Berry, who knew the pain they went through, still carried this trauma with her.

And now, as Lily stood, staring at the thick clouds, Pickle Berryʼs body instinctively shuddered. In fact, she moved and hid behind Klausʼs mom, her body shaking.

”Pickle Berry, are you okay?” Lucy asked, noting her unease, simply because she was supplying her with the stamina to hold the space shield around Lily, so she noticed that her mood had changed.

”I am fine,” Pickle Berry lied, putting on a brave face.

Itʼs shocking how trauma from the past can influence a person even in the present.

The Red Fury was someone she feared, and even long after she became her masterʼs wife, she still couldnʼt forget the fear she felt back then.

Her master had killed plenty of immortals when he was several realms below them; however, someone just a realm above him was able to overwhelm him. That was something many tried to exploit back then.

It was even too harrowing to the point that many powerhouses were hoping to get on the Red Furyʼs side and finally end a paragon.

Thankfully, that didnʼt happen. But the deed had already been done, and the pain wasnʼt forgotten.

Klausʼs mom had to hug her, burying her face in her chest before she stopped shaking. By the time Lilyʼs tribulation was over, everyone understood why Pickle Berry was that way.

Anna, who was rather close to Lily, trembled for a moment when her eyes landed on Lily after her bloodline finally awakened. Of course, she was still the same lean Lily, but the changes that appeared were just too much for the normal mind to process.

Her armor was red, and she wielded two swords—one light red and the other deeper red. Metallic, perhaps jade-like wings that were also red spread behind her, and her red hair gently fell on her shoulder.

”Is that even Lily?” Anna asked, looking at the Red Fury standing there with her eyes closed.

After a few minutes, she put away her swords and armor, wearing only a thin gown that clung to her skin. She moved, and soon, she was on the platform.

Ignoring everyone, she walked toward Pickle Berry, who was trembling as Lily drew closer.

”Pickle Berry, look, itʼs big sister Lily,” Lily said with a cheerful smile. Pickle Berry didnʼt even turn to look at her; she remained in Klausʼs momʼs arms.

”Give her a few hours to calm down,” Klausʼs mom said with a smile. ”I donʼt know what happened between you two or how, but she is terrified of you.”

”But donʼt worry, sheʼs still a child, so she needs some time to come to terms with her feelings and emotions.”

Lily nodded with a smile. She wanted nothing more than to give her space.

Actually, she was looking forward to spending some alone time.

Just like how Anna and her sister Lucy received a visit from their past selves, she, too, received a visit from hers. One of the things her past self instructed her to do was get close to the snake-human girl, whom she was certain had reincarnated like her.

They werenʼt that close in the past, so she wanted to change that.
