The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 672 672: The Danger Hanging Above

The main objective was the most pressing matter of them all. The Earthlings wanted to know the dangers hanging above them.

Queenie already had a rundown on the dangers above, but to the people inside the room, this would be their first time hearing about something this bizarre.

”The situation on the moon is just too unstable. It was the main reason we fast-tracked our arrival. Our warriors were able to hold them back for as long as we could, but we had to leave,” Queen Lunara said with a heavy sigh.

”Right now, there are thousands of Tier 9 and 10 Lunar Beasts. They are a headache that, despite killing thousands of them, there are still thousands left, and every day, we keep losing thousands of warriors.

But those are just Tiers 9 and 10. The real headaches are the ten Tier 11 beasts and the possibility that there is a Tier 12 Lunar Beast hiding there.

We currently canʼt deny nor confirm the existence of such a being, but we can tell there is such a monstrosity lurking.”

The Overlords of Earth, hearing this for the first time, frowned.

Their frowns were not from the fact that this had been hidden from them. No, their frowns were from the realization that the people who had just become their allies had been in such danger all these years.

The mention of thousands of Tier 10 monsters was overwhelming, yet they also wanted to know just how much the Moonborn had managed to endure.

”Itʼs a headache, but we had capable warriors blocking them all this while.

Right now, we can boldly say that within the next few weeks, the entire moon will be overrun.

From that, we will know which Tier 11 monsters will try to expand their territory and, more importantly, the total number of Tier 11 monsters there.”

”This is something,” Queenie said with a thoughtful expression.

”What are the chances that the monsters up there will head here next?” Overlord Tydor of the Water Borns asked.

”That is something we all are wondering about,” Queen Lunara answered. ”But the chances of that happening are also very slim, considering that right now, the monsters are fighting for territory.

They now have the space we used to live in to fight over, but when that is done, they might turn toward this planet, and the chances of them coming here are also high.

So, we propose that your engineers work with ours to mount an aerial defense that will be in charge of handling any threat that may arise from above.

We will even task seven of our Grand Elders to oversee the aerial defense. This way, we will be able to at least hold back the threat for as long as we can before reinforcements arrive.”

”Looks like you made a solid plan before coming, Mother,” Queenie smiled, causing all the Overlords and Grand Elders to sigh inwardly.

The discovery that the leader of Earth and the leader of the moon are actually daughter and mother is a good thing for them.

This means the chances of one going against the other are nullified. Queenie would never try to go against her mother—not even by a long shot.

”The situation on the moon is dire. However, with our combined efforts, I believe we can handle both fronts,” Queen Lunara added.

”Indeed. Though Earth also has thousands of Tier 9 and 10 monsters, we have only identified one Tier 11. Now that you are here, we can finally go after it and kill it before it grows beyond our strength level,” Queenie said.

The Grand Elders and Overlords looked at each other.

”If you donʼt mind me asking, how confident are you that you can take down such a monstrosity? We have seen Tier 11 monsters in action and can tell they are something the current us cannot handle, not even in a group. So, how confident are you?”

A Grand Elder named Joppy asked.

”I am not confident. However, Klaus seems to have a plan that will secure us a big victory, and I trust him. So, no matter what, the Tier 11 monster will be taken down, provided we follow Klausʼs arrangement.”

”You make it sound like Klaus is a god,” Grand Elder Nyselle remarked, and Ohema frowned.

She and Ohema were at odds, considering Nyselle was the one who proposed sending her to spy on the humans and make plans for their invasion.

She has accepted the alliance, but she still thinks they should be in charge, considering they have the highest number of Ascendants.

”I donʼt know about him being a god, but Klaus has done more than any of us. When I say ʼdone more,ʼ I mean he has significantly contributed to our safety, which will be revealed soon.

Also, you saw how he was easily handling the Tier 10 monsters just a few hours ago. That may appear bizarre to you, but Klaus is much more monstrous than that.

If you still donʼt believe me, wait until you get to know him. He will be meeting us in a week to share some important news and plans he has come up with.

He also made a huge discovery that he believes will help us raise our strength by at least five to ten times our current level.

I say someone that confident and resourceful should be taken seriously,” Queenie sighed.

”I donʼt know about the moon, but on Earth, provided we listen to him, everything will be okay. I believe and trust him.”

All the Overlords and Grand Elders seemed hesitant, but they could tell she was serious, so they planned to wait for this meeting in a weekʼs time.

The meeting continued for four hours. By the time it ended, they had formed the teams that would handle the aerial defense.

Overlord Dharma was picked as the leader of the aerial force, thanks to his enhanced eyesight and spiritual awareness. He would be backed by Grand Elder Nyselle, who is also a Spirit Master with powerful soul strength.

Five more Grand Elders were picked from the Moon-Borns, with Old Lu being the only one from the Earthlings who would back Overlord Dharma.

However, ten War Gods and Goddesses would join the team, and from there, the rest would follow through. Kathy also made her desire known and said she would be there to help whenever there was an attack.

Once everything was over, they all went about the celebration, where Klausʼs friends were now in attendance and surrounded by hundreds of Moon-Borns, each eager to learn more about him.

Naturally, they exaggerated a few details, painting him as some kind of deity, for they all knew that over time, the real Klaus would be revealed, and his other personality as a shameless bastard wouldnʼt escape their eyes.

When it was around 7 p.m., a streak of golden lightning landed a couple of meters away from Moonville, signaling the arrival of the white-haired paragon.

He had finished wiping out an entire Tier 7 Forbidden Zone and secured over 20 Tier 10 beast and monster bodies.

This meant he had secured more resources to create the perfect warriors.
