Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 105 The CovenantChapter 105 The Covenant
After figuring it out, a heartless smile appeared on Lu Dahu’s face again.

After learning that Yu Chongwu had not only expanded the scale of its breeding operations, but also acquired a lot of surrounding real estate, and that Russell was already a veritable small landowner, he even clamored to treat Russell to a good meal.

”Okay, I know a good store. It’s delicious and not expensive.”

When old friends get together, it is necessary to arrange a dinner to cleanse themselves from the dust. Russell quickly led Lu Dahu and a group of team members to a prosperous restaurant on the street.

This restaurant called Pinxiange is decorated in a Chinese style. The wooden house is filled with warm yellow lanterns. The scent of the food under the candlelight makes people feel like going home.

At this time, it was the hotel, and the first floor of Pinxian Pavilion was already full of people. Several people followed the waiter and took a seat in the small booth on the second floor.

”...You kid is really crazy.”

Holding the menu in his hand and briefly looking at it, Lu Dahu discovered that the cheapest health clear soup in this restaurant that Russell said was ”inexpensive” cost a full credits.

”It’s okay. Money is earned, not saved. If you have high-quality customers in the future, you can also introduce them to Yu Chongwu.”

Seeing that Lu Dahu was embarrassed to kill him so fiercely, Russell said with a smile.

Although these words sounded like polite words, Russell said them very sincerely.

As the leader of the hunting team that travels all over the country, Lu Dahu’s classification in the mind of the Beast Control Alliance may not be comparable to his own, but there are many channels and connections he has control over that Russell cannot have access to.

Maybe one day when Lu Dahu takes over the mission, he will meet a sponsor with huge demand for insect-based materials. At that time, the insect house may have the opportunity to expand its business in outer urban areas.

”That’s true. When we discuss business in the future, I will help you promote it.”

Lu Dahu nodded when he heard this. His sister is now completely obsessed with Yu Chongwu. She talks about becoming a gold medal employee every day. She will be a veteran and a store manager in the future. He helps her with the business and supports her.

…………

After a while, the table was filled with delicacies made from pet animal ingredients.

The charcoal-grilled yak meat is juicy and fragrant, the warm-yang bullfrog meat is silky and smooth in the mouth, and the refreshing vegetarian soup is perfect for eating with meat. Each dish is a hot-seller at Pinxiange Signature specialties.

Under the influence of delicious food, the relationship between everyone at Russell’s table unknowingly became much closer.

From Lu Dahu’s introduction, he learned that his recently established hunting team was called ”Black Tiger”, and these hunting team members were basically his classmates.

The cute curly-haired girl is called Tong Ling. Her main pet is a shimmer elf, which is good at healing and dispelling. She is the doctor in the team.

The interference-type and long-range attack-type beast masters in the team are a pair of siblings, named Zheng Ping and Zheng Yu.

The younger brother Zheng Ping contracted a static electricity hedgehog that can inflict potent paralysis, while the older sister Zheng Yu contracted a more aggressive sour-throated viper and was responsible for continuously killing people with poison.

As for the academic young man wearing glasses, he has a bigger background than the others. His name is Fan Ming, and he is a trainee researcher under the Longquan City Beast Control Research Institute.

Since his major topic was related to hunting and ecological distribution, he simply joined a hunting team. He usually had to follow the hunting team to perform tasks, and would return to the research institute every once in a while to compile data and write reports.

His main pet beast is a mechanical pet beast ”Collector Type 07”, which is mainly responsible for heavy-duty transportation, as well as collecting and preserving some easily damaged and ineffective cultivation materials.

The team has a clear division of labor and everyone is working together. No wonder they were able to take on the mid-level mission in a short period of time.

”Dahu, if I want to go on a mission with you guys, won’t it delay things?” After hearing these introductions, Russell suddenly looked at Lu Dahu with a serious expression and asked solemnly.

Ayou’s rebellious son has always been acting crazy lately. Although Russell had gone to the wild several times with the Beast Taming Alliance before, he was accompanied by high-level beast masters along the way and had special logistical support.

Except for the actual battle in the final accident, in fact, his wild survival skills were basically not exercised.

If you want Ayou to get rid of the thought of always being careless and underestimating the enemy, you have to let him go to the wild to endure hardships!
Besides, Russell didn’t dare to venture into the Black Dew Forest before because he knew there was an unstable secret realm there. Now that the risk has been completely eliminated, he also has to make plans for future development.

Even a beastmaster who focuses on standardized competitions cannot really stay in the city for the rest of his life.

Many high-end materials cannot be kept fresh at present, and some materials will even expire within a few minutes after leaving the place where they were grown, or after the wild pet dies, and can only be collected by the user himself.

Experiencing more encounters and beatings will immediately improve the pet beast’s actual combat capabilities.

It can be said that, whether from the perspective of training or improving combat effectiveness, a certain amount of wilderness can be regarded as one of the required courses for professional beast masters.

For Russell, being able to go out into the wild to perform some mid- to low-level tasks with a good brother who knows everything about him is undoubtedly his best choice at this stage.

After all, the fighting ability of a pet beast is one thing, but the survival skills in the wild are another.

Compared with pet beasts, human bodies are too fragile.

Except for a very small number of beast masters who have physical strengthening beast control talents, or who can possess protective beasts 24 hours a day, others want to perform tasks in the wild and return safely, and they cannot do without some necessary equipment. Survival Skills.

To take an extreme example, if my survival awareness is really poor, even an extremely powerful ninth-level beast master like Mo Lin may not be able to cross the Black Dew Forest.

Without taking any defensive measures and being directly attacked by a pet beast, a fifth-level pet beast with strong attack power may kill him.

Of course, such a situation has never happened in the history of the Beast Controlling Alliance. A ninth-level beast control master can contract more than ten pet beasts, and no matter what, he will reserve one or two places for protective beasts.

However, middle and low-level beast masters generally do not cultivate protective beasts first. Without reliable teammates, accidents are quite easy to happen in the wild.

”This is not difficult. The new tasks we have received are mainly collection-related tasks, and the risks are not high. However, it is the end of the month and everyone has not been home to rest for a while. We plan to set off again next month.”

Lu Dahu briefly asked what his teammates wanted, and then agreed to Russell’s request to go with them.

He knew that Russell had basically never been to the wild and might be held back a little during the journey.

But everyone saw the powerful firepower displayed by Ayou today. Having such a turret joining the hunt would not be a bad thing for the Black Tiger team, which had weak output.

”Just in time, I also want to take advantage of these few days to challenge the Green Leaf Gym. Let’s make an appointment next month.”

This arrangement coincided with Russell’s previous itinerary, and the two parties finally agreed to meet in Senluo City early next month.

During this period of time, Russell not only planned to go to the Greenleaf Gym to test the water, but also had to replenish a set of outdoor exploration equipment, while also catching up on some precautions for exploring in the Black Dew Forest.

The most important thing is that he must quickly cultivate a relationship with Xiao Qi and make him agree to explore the wild with him.

It’s a rare trip out of the city, and it would be a waste of opportunity if the protective beast I carefully selected didn’t participate at all.
