Building a Business Empire with my Technological System

Chapter 377: Counterattack
Michael Reyes was not the type to sit back and let things unfold without a fight. The coordinated attack on Reyes Corporation was more than just a media smear—it was a declaration of war from his competitors. And if they thought he would take it lying down, they had gravely underestimated him.

As soon as Juliet left his office to mobilize the PR and legal teams, Michael picked up his phone and made a call to his Chief Technology Officer, Enrique Sanchez.

”Enrique, I need you to meet me in my office in five minutes,” Michael said, his voice leaving no room for delay.

”I’m on my way,” Enrique replied, sensing the urgency.

As Michael waited, he pulled up the data on their current projects. He knew that innovation was their strongest weapon, and if their competitors wanted a fight, he would give them one they wouldn’t forget.

Enrique arrived promptly, his usual laid-back demeanor replaced with a seriousness that matched Michael’s.

”What’s going on, Mr. Reyes”

”Our competitors have decided to unite against us,” Michael began, cutting straight to the point. ”They’re using the media to paint us as a monopoly, stirring up public fear. We’re going to counter their narrative, but I also want to hit back where it hurts—in the market. We need to accelerate the launch of our upcoming products and services.

I want Reyes Corporation to dominate every sector we’re involved in, starting now.”

Enrique nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. ”Which projects do you want to prioritize?”

”First, we need to double down on our digital banking services,” Michael said. ”We’ve already integrated GCash with Reyes Bank, but I want to push out the advanced features we’ve been developing ahead of schedule. Real-time AI financial advisors, personalized investment tools, the works. We need to show the public that our innovations are making their lives better, not just giving us control.”

”Got it. I’ll have the team ready for an all-hands-on-deck situation. We can aim to roll out the updates within two weeks,” Enrique replied, jotting down notes.

As he hung up the phone, Michael allowed himself a brief moment of reflection. The pressure was immense, but he thrived in high-stakes situations. His competitors had forced his hand, but in doing so, they had given him the opportunity to prove that Reyes Corporation wasn’t just another conglomerate—it was a company that could change the world.

Later that day, Juliet returned to Michael’s office with an update. ”The PR team is in full swing. We’ve already released a statement addressing the concerns raised in the media, emphasizing our commitment to innovation and public welfare. The response so far has been positive, but we’ll need to stay on top of it.”

”Good,” Michael replied, his tone calm but focused. ”We can’t afford to let up. The next few weeks will be critical. We need to keep pushing our message until it drowns out the noise.”

Juliet handed him a tablet with the latest social media analytics. ”Our hashtag #InnovationForAll is trending, and we’re seeing a lot of engagement from users who are defending Reyes Corporation. It’s clear that we have a strong base of support, but we’ll need to keep feeding the narrative.”

Michael glanced at the tablet, nodding in approval. ”This is just the beginning. I want to see our competitors’ market shares drop as we continue to roll out our initiatives. Keep the pressure on, and let’s show them what happens when they try to take us down.”

Juliet smiled, a determined look in her eyes. ”We’re ready, Michael. They wanted a fight, and now they’ve got one.”

The next day, Reyes Corporation’s counteroffensive began in earnest. The media was flooded with stories highlighting the company’s achievements, from cutting-edge technological innovations to community development projects.

Ads featuring testimonials from satisfied customers and employees played on every major network, reinforcing the message that Reyes Corporation was a force for good in the Philippines.

At the same time, the company’s legal team began quietly reaching out to key figures in the government, ensuring that any attempts to launch investigations or impose new regulations would be met with strong resistance. Michael knew that while they needed to win the public’s trust, they also had to protect their interests behind the scenes.

By the end of the week, the narrative had begun to shift. While there were still voices of dissent, the overwhelming majority of the public saw Reyes Corporation as a positive force, one that was driving the country forward.

Michael’s competitors, on the other hand, were struggling to keep up as their market shares began to falter in the face of Reyes Corporation’s relentless innovation and marketing blitz.

As he reviewed the latest reports in his office, Michael allowed himself a rare moment of satisfaction. The first battle had been won, but he knew the war was far from over. His competitors would regroup and come back with new strategies, but he was ready for whatever they had in store.

”Let them come,” Michael thought to himself, a steely resolve in his eyes. ”Reyes Corporation isn’t just surviving—we’re thriving. And there’s nothing they can do to stop us.”
