Building a Business Empire with my Technological System

Chapter 189: The Private Jet Business
”So, Mr. Reyes, would it be short-haul or long-haul trips?” Collins began.

”Well, given that my business is going international and I have to get there without having to worry about anything, I’d prefer something that is long-haul. Because the Philippines is far from developed nations such as the European Nation, United States, Japan, South Korea, China, India...and many more.”

”Then you’ll need a jet that can handle long-haul trips,” Collins replied, taking notes on a notepad. ”Do you have a preferred number of passengers you intend to accommodate regularly? A typical jet can fit anywhere from six to fifteen people, depending on the model.”

”Most of my business trips are with my team, so I’d say around eight to ten people,” Michael said thoughtfully. ”I also want some extra space for meetings and relaxation during the flight.”

Collins nodded, jotting down more notes. ”That makes sense. For long-haul trips with that number of passengers, you’d want to consider larger private jets. Some can be customized to your specifications to include meeting rooms, a kitchen area, and comfortable seating arrangements. Are you looking for anything specific in terms of cabin layout?”

”I’d like a dedicated area for meetings,” Michael replied, considering the practicalities. ”Somewhere I can discuss business without interruptions. A comfortable lounging area would also be ideal, especially for longer flights. A personal bedroom.”

Collins nodded. ”A personal bedroom is a common request, especially for longer flights. It’s important to have a private space where you can rest during those extended journeys. Some jets also offer a shower, which can be a game-changer for those who travel frequently and need to freshen up.”

Michael considered the options. ”A shower would be great, especially when traveling across time zones. The more comfortable the journey, the more productive I can be when I arrive at my destination.”

”We have a few jets that fit that description, but if you’re interested in the ultimate in comfort and space, I’d recommend looking at the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. It’s larger than most private jets but offers unparalleled comfort and versatility. It can be customized to include multiple meeting areas, sleeping quarters, and even a small kitchen.”

”The Dreamliner? That sounds interesting,” Michael said, intrigued. ”Would that be practical for someone in my position?”

”It’s certainly a premium option,” Collins replied, ”but it’s a favorite among high-profile business leaders and celebrities who need a versatile and comfortable jet. Given your business’s international focus, it might be worth considering. Would you like to take a look at one?”

”Sure, let’s check it out,” Michael said, excited to see what the Dreamliner had to offer.

Collins led Michael to a large interactive screen that displayed a detailed 3D model of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The image rotated slowly, giving a complete view of the aircraft’s sleek exterior. It was impressive in size and design, with a modern, aerodynamic shape and large windows along the sides.

Michael nodded, satisfied with what he was seeing. ”This is looking good. I like the flexibility and the customization options. What are the next steps?”

”Well, since this is a large jet, it would need a lot of staff, from pilots to flight attendants,” Collins said, moving to a new section on the interactive screen that highlighted the jet’s staffing requirements. ”Typically, a jet of this size requires at least two pilots, a flight engineer, and five to ten flight attendants, depending on the number of passengers.

You’d also need a maintenance team to ensure the aircraft is kept in top condition.”

Michael considered the staffing requirements. ”That makes sense. What about the ongoing operating expenses? I’m sure a jet this size would have substantial costs for fuel, maintenance, and other things.”

”The operating expenses for a Dreamliner can be quite high. Fuel is one of the biggest costs, especially for long-haul flights. Maintenance is another significant expense, with regular inspections and repairs to keep everything running smoothly. And then there’s insurance, which can vary depending on the value of the jet and the routes you fly.”

Michael looked at the screen, noticing the breakdown of expenses. ”And what about hangar space? I assume I’d need a dedicated hangar to store the jet when it’s not in use.”

”Correct,” Collins agreed. ”A private jet of this size requires a large hangar for storage. You’ll need to factor that into your costs. Many airports offer hangar space for rent, but it can be costly depending on the location and facilities provided.”

”Okay, and what about flight permits? I assume I’ll need specific permits and clearances for international flights?” Michael asked, thinking about the logistics involved in flying across different countries.

”Yes, that’s something to consider,” Collins said. ”International flights require a range of permits and clearances, depending on the countries you’ll be flying to and from. Our team can assist with this to make it easy for you.”

Michael nodded, taking in all the information. It was a lot to consider, but he knew it was essential for running his business smoothly and efficiently. Now, for the last question.

”How much is it?”

Collins leaned back slightly, his expression shifting to a more business-like demeanor.

”The price for a fully customized Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with all the features we’ve discussed, starts at around $250 million.”

”250 million?” Michael repeated.
